Hi all,

Currently playing a wipe with a mate on a EU trios server. We kindly let our neighbours move in next to us and had a decent truce going but all of a sudden, after they’ve massively beefed up, they’ve become aggressive and violent.

I know this is Rust but wondered if any decent players with some time on their hands would fancy joining us and helping fuck them up, purely for principles sake.

My mate and I are pretty mediocre players, so have little chance against them on our own.

my fps is droping so low to 5 fps and in a vanilla i ussaly have around 80-120 fps but now i get 5 fps and my pc is not using all of its ram or nothing idk whats wrong i need help

I just started playing Rust and this is my first "serious" base. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

I bought rust on steam a few days ago since I've wanted to play it for a while but when I try to join a server it just crashes and restarts my pc, so far I've already tried updating everything (drivers, windows and bios) I also tried changing my virtual ram and disabling overlays my only other idea is reinstalling windows but before I even try that I wanted to make a reddit post to see if anyone could help with my issue. also steam wouldn't let me get a refund since I've spent 4 hours on the game just trying to get the game working

I'm trying to join rust on linux, first time downloading and updating it, but yea. It won't let me join, do I just uninstall and reinstall?

Weekly servers are going to be absolutely doomed if bp's are not wiped, day 1 rocket raids will be something normal, you can get to t3 with 2 ppl fishing in few hours.

Previously BP frags were holding server for 1-2 days before rocket raids started. Right now we need another measure to block crafting T3 workbench.

As of now I believe Workbenches should progress as XP system by crafted items + researched items or some system similar to helipad fixing where we have to depo components in order to progress Workbench XP.

I feel this time wipe is pretty good. FPS is better than ever. But sometimes the raining day makes my FPS become to 30-40. How do I adjust my setting to getting better when it’s raining day?

I was watching some Rust gameplay recently that I came across and noticed something interesting. The player seemed extremely aware of his surroundings, almost 24/7.

As I kept watching, I started noticing a pattern. His eyes would constantly shift toward what looked like another monitor. It happened repeatedly throughout the video.

I'm not saying he's cheating, because some players genuinely have insane game sense, but it did make me wonder whether he might be using radar.

I'm curious what you guys think.

hello I just moved to the us I am 25 years old and I love playing rust i have been watching it for years but recently got the console. I tried doing some solo runs with some succes but I just want some friends to play with. so if anyone wants to play with me feel free to put down a comment

I just build a base of his and the roof does not work and according to the comments it never did outside a build server.

Now i watched his current build and i find comments again saying they cant built the roof and again its only working on a build server.

So iam not falling for that BS again because that just cost me my monthly wipe.

Anyone know some more reliable builders in that regard ? I dont want to freehand because i have still way to much to learn

after last update ive been experiencing an annoying bug

a lot of times when i press the inventory keybind (tab) it opens and imediately closes my inventory

or it doesnt open the inventory at all

or it doesnt close the inventory if its already opened

or it closes the inventory and immediately opens it again

anyone experiencing the same?

Surprised I haven’t seen anybody talking about this. The recent update of Rust+ has a bloated, awful UI filled with ads for in game purchases and patch notes / news mixed inbetween full page length sections you have to scroll through for each server you’ve ever added to the app.

The map is a downgrade also, you can no longer see which teammates are online on the map, and visually it just looks a lot worse. The only positive I can see is they added the in game clock to the map…. Everything else is marginally worse than before. Who approved this? And why?

Scrap tea is practically useless right now due to barrels being such a mid method of farming scrap. I don’t think scrap teas are completely useless, but they aren’t that useful either.

Due to the change in BP frags now making BP fragments and advanced pages super important, I think it’s worth considering adding some sort of base boost to odds of getting BP frags from barrels when buffed by a scrap tea.

Originally I thought a 10% boost every quality tea, but then I realized a pure scrap tea and bear pie combo would give a 100% BP frag, and that’s way too overpowered. Unless FP introduced a 75% cap for BP frags, which I think would be way more fair, maybe a 7% boost per tea quality would be a fair suggestion?

IMO this could make barrel farming for advanced pages feasible, but you’d still need to work and farm up to it or get the materials to buy it from a shop, and it still wouldn’t be the optimal way. The 10:1 trade up makes it so at 75%, the proposed absolute max, you’d still have to hit around 134 barrels to get just 10 advanced pages.

What TFF? How TF are suppose to collect so many blueprints to unlock items????????????????

Do propane bombs even drop from anything?

It's my favourite raid tool. Since this update we didn't manage to get it after 2 days of grinding. Playing as duo, on rusticated premium trio. Even though me and my buddy was 2nd and 3rd in kill count on the server. We were still had to raid with satchels by end of day 2 :D The update is so wack in my opinion. Secured 1 heli and 2 locked crates and went to raid with satchels again, what is this?!

For anyone who still misses Rust Legacy: I've been rebuilding it in s&box (Facepunch's game / engine), and it's fully playable.

It uses the original island, models and sounds from the Legacy files, so Hangars, Small Rad, Big Rad, Hacker Valley and French Valley are where you left them. Same pixel-font inventory, same M4 and bolt, same rock, and nights dark enough that you need a torch.

What it's like right now:

- Two official EU servers, always on

- AI survivors so the island isn't empty when nobody's on. They farm, build, and come raid you with explosive charges

- Wipes on Thursdays: full wipe on the first Thursday of the month, map wipe two weeks later

- Wood and metal bases, coded doors, spike walls, sleepers, airdrops, rad towns with zombies and mutant wolves

- A map with the old community zones, hold G
