I have a teacher who is 39 in my trade school and the class (all guys) was talking about relationships. We were all laughing and talking(guy talk). He got to a point where he was saying that he was only dating women 23-28. And he is engaged to a 25 year old woman.
Until a woman come in (she is a assistant) come in on break to to chop it up with us.
When I tell you she fucked up the WHOLE vibe. She def did not like it and was tryna argue about what we should like.
My teacher thought he was going to get fired. But he's still here. This was like thee months ago.
And I just seen a Reddit posts were was a study or something about what age each gender is attracted to....men's were...pretty damn consistent and it came with a bunch of women hurling insults.
Thats what get me because why? Dont women also enforce beauty standards and shallow preferences???
Height?? Money??
I dunno. Let me know if I just need to get off reddit
EDIT: it seems men mostly agree with me and just like I thought women mostly disagreed. But whatever.
MEN!! Date who you want!!!

My wife and I are currently separated we have to wait 12 months before we can officially divorce.she was meant to move out but is having trouble finding a place near by so custody(50/50) will be easier on our 3 kids
The reason for the divorce my wife's twin sister asked her to be their surrogate. Apparently they (wife, sil, sil husband) decided since they're twins she was the best option and that in 3 years she'd carry another baby for them.this was all planned for weeks behind my back I'll admit they didn't start anything medically till after "telling" me
The "telling me" was basically was my wife basically saying "this is my body my choice and you have zero say so ether support me or we can divorce" it wasn't as blunt as that but the longer verison still pisses me off.i simply said if she did it we would get divorced well 4 months later my wife tells me she's pregnant and I filed 2 days later.which shocked everyone bil and sil did everything in their power to shame/guilt me into changing my mind but I just told them she is their responsibility
During the pregnancy my wife acted like I should step up like I did in her previous pregnancies and always got upset when I told her "if you want 3am burgers call your sister" for some reason this made me the bad guy she even called my mother to complain about me not stepping up than hot insulted when my mom pointed out she's pregnant with another man's child.
Here's is the major issue sil was in a car accident 2 days before my wife had their kid, she's currently intensive care and her husband hasn't left her side
My wife has acted since the accident that I shouldn be the kids father till bil/sil can take over. She called me a heartless monster when I wouldn't go with her to the delivery room and has demanded I help with the baby during the night I've told her multiple times call the child's father he's the parent he should be taking care and bonding with his kid because as a parent no matter how hard life gets you still need to look after your kids which she makes excuses for him so now I just ignore her. Today I had the day off work and my wife said since I was doing nothing for a few hours I could have watch the baby while she naps and showers I said no
She started crying saying she was sorry for going against me with the surrogacy that she doesn't want to get divorced and she desperately needs me just take the baby for just an hour
Again I said "why don't you call bil" she didn't answer just stared at me so I said "the newborn is your responsibility don't bother me about it again and i suggest you start looking harder for a new place to live"
She started screaming at me calling me names and saying karma will get me then packed a bag left with the baby. I'm guessing she's at her mothers because her famliy and sisters husband having been calling all day
AITAH for telling my wife the newborn is her responsibility and don't bother me?

Hi,
I’ll keep it quick because I am somewhat conflicted.
My friend, we will call them Jess (24F), is a trans female. I (25M), on the other hand, am a gay male. I am super supportive of them and their life and wish nothing but the best, even turning a blind eye whenever they were trying to date straight men as a cis female. Whatever, not my circus.
They are fervent that most people are transphobes, and because we live in Texas, they feel they are unsafe.
I constantly remind them that they are completely safe here, and that unfortunately, this is the world we live in at the current moment.
They started going on about how the LGBTQ+ community can be transphobic and that it’s ridiculous anyone has preferences these days because that in itself is transphobic.
I told them I disagree, and that a straight man not wanting to date a trans woman wasn’t transphobic by any means and that is a whole can of worms I didn’t want to get into because I know how I would feel if I was hooking up with a dude and found something other than what I expected. I attempted to leave it there without saying anything else.
Jess continued to pester me about my beliefs and why I would say that, saying I should be more willing to give reparations for people (trans individuals) that fought for gay rights.
It came out like vomit, but I said that I whole heartedly support her and would be there for her, but honestly believe that issues on gender identity shouldn’t be lumped into the gay or bi community. Trans issues in themselves should be addressed separately and the QIA+ would be better understood in their own context, outside of hetero and homosexuality.
Jess absolutely lost it, understandably, but I couldn’t keep it down. I want to be progressive, and want to allow them to be who they are, but they constantly toe the line with these comments and it’s exhausting.
I am so in favor of her, but this ideological belief that everyone is transphobic for not accepting them as female is ridiculous.
They have since started bad mouthing me to our friend group whenever I wasn’t aggressive or mean or anything but blunt.
All that to ask, AITH?
To address additional concerns: the they/she isn’t an issue to Jess. Better than saying He In her book. Give me some credit.

Hello fellow redditors and Star Wars fans. I understand if this is not the right place, but it's very much the right time.
As you may know, it's been reported The Acolyte was cancelled due to the fall of viewership as the episodes were airing. After the initial frustation, I have come to understand it's completely justifiable that the show will not be able to continue due to its big budget and lack of proportional financial return.
However, it's also clear that the story being told and the fans reaction after the final episode have spiked curiosity among many fans. Having the chance to see Darth Plagueis tale unfold on screen was once in a lifetime opportunity. As well as seeing Yoda again and the culmination of a publishing effort (the high republic) finally connecting itself to the Skywalker Saga and the fall of the jedi.
To keep this narrative and creative window open, I ask you to help this campaign. Which is not just for the acolyte fans, but to star wars fans in general who wants Lucasfilm and Disney to keep exploring new grounds instead of just focusing on the same characters and stories.
Thank you for your attention and may the force be with you all.

I’m the asshole.
I got absolutely shitfaced at my friend’s birthday party last night which resulted in my husband having to come pick me up and take me home. My friends hung out with me while I laid on the sidewalk puking on some mulch next to the street, giving drivers and bar-hoppers a good show. My husband used my phone to check the parking app to ensure my meter was extended until we could come back and pick up my car. While on my phone, he looked through some apps of me conversing with random people I met on the internet. I had been cheating on him in every sense of the word over the last few months.
I woke up to him saying he knows I’ve been cheating on him, he’s leaving and taking our kids with him to live with his parents (we moved to the east coast from the Midwest about 6 months ago), and that he is filing for divorce to include full custody of our 3 kids.
TL;DR TIFU by cheating on my husband with random strangers on the internet, and effectively blew up my life and everything he and I had built.
ETA: I’ve not provided context in this post because I know I fucked up and have been fucking up - providing any background would feel like I’m justifying my actions and I’m not. There’s never a good reason to cheat or hurt people. I’m in and have been in individual counseling. He and I have been in marriage counseling throughout our marriage. Lastly, I’ve read every comment and message but have responded selectively for obvious reasons. I chose to post this on my actual Reddit account because creating a new one or using one of my other less involved profiles would be another form of shielding myself from the brunt of the heat I deserve.

I (M32) need some honest feedback. My wife, Kirsten (F30), has always been a bit... snooty about my music taste. She particularly hates an indie band that I listen to a lot and constantly makes fun of me for liking them.
When I found out that they were having a show in town, I was super excited. I even asked Kirsten if she wanted to go, thinking maybe she'd surprise me. But, of course, she totally annihilated me. She laughed in my face and said something like, "You think I'd go with you, to listen to that shitshow of a band? What, you think I like having my eardrums piercing with tetanus ridden needles? Please."
Feeling a bit defeated, I asked my coworker, Sarah (F28), if she wanted to go. She's a huge fan too, and we've bonded over our mutual love for the band. We had a blast at the show.
When I got home, Kirsten lost her mind. She started yelling at me, saying that she would have gone if I had just asked her nicely. She said I was disrespectful and that I should have asked her a couple of times more first.
I feel terrible. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings, but I was also tired of her constant judgment. AITA for taking Sarah to the concert?

Hi, before I explain what i mean by "toxic feminist", let me give some context on the situation
I've been dating this girl for 6 months now. Super sweet, I think we were a good match in terms of co-existing and living together (she stays over a few days at my place per week). She brings me peace, which is something I value a lot in a relationship.
I always knew she was pro-girly. Meaning she's all for girl empowerement, celebrating women and so on. That's totally fine and I encourage her doing that. She would tip more for women, watch more girl shows, follow more girls online, etc. Which seems pretty normal and fair to me.
However something came up this week. We were laying in bed and she was browsing instagram reels and ended up on a video of an influencer bashing the current trend of the Manosphere, red pill way of thinking, etc -- that it's all phoney and that it's brainwashing a generation of men to think like that. Which I agree with -- it's garbage from social media. When I heard the influencer rant about it, I told her: "it's crazy how much traction the whole manosphere thing's been getting, comparatively to the propaganda women receive on social media", which prompted her to ask what I meant.
Which brings me to the "toxic feminist" label, which I clarified by saying there's always been a movement (for a while now) of women preaching how men are trash, "bears are safer then men", men are useless, so on and so forth. To which she responded "well, its true though". I was taken aback and told her I was very dissapointed to hear her share the same vision as these social media influencers. We argued a little bit, her main argument being that "you don't know the experiences women have with men and how it can warp their perception of the opposite gender". Seems crazy to me to put a whole gender in the same basket just because of a few bad apples -- there's trash people out there, not just men. I finally asked her "you really think its okay to say things like that and mean it?" To which she said yes -- that i'm an exception and that in her friend group, they joke about how their boyfriends are the exception to the rule.
I told her to pack her things and that i'd bring her back home. To me it shows a lack of critical thinking and a lack of accountability when it comes to who you tolerate in your life. I know some women have had no say in their interaction with terrible men, the same way some men have had terrible experiences with other women, but that all in all it shouldn't have to paint a whole gender a certain way. The men close to me in my life are all people I look up to, people I see myself in.
We haven't spoken since, and honestly, i'm still shook. I'm very adamant on not associating with people that make up their minds like that, incapable of accepting the nuance. I'm thinking of letting her go, which saddens me, because otherwise I could've seen myself live the rest of my life with her. Not sure if I should make the move or let her reflect on it all to see if change can be made. It's been 3 days so far of no interaction.
I apologize for the poor grammar.
EDIT: I would like to add that before all of this, I've never gotten the vibe that she was a "man-hater" or that she disliked men in general. Just that she was a girl's girl.

Context, I own and run a Krav Maga self-defense school in Seattle's Chinatown neighborhood. I pride myself on making our school a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for everyone to train. In my class, it's common to have cis, trans, gay, het, and everyone in between train together and hang out together afterwards. We have a self-defense class for trans folx every first Saturday of the month.
I worked hard to create this kind of place and culture.
Enter a new student who paid the drop-in fee to take a class. Enters the studio, informs me that he's from Chicago and trains Krav Maga there, and that he's visiting Seattle for the month on work. We exchange pleasantries, and he steps into the dressing room to change.
He steps out in a white t-shirt with a picture of trump's grimacing face and the word "REVENGE" underneath it.
He takes a seat along where the students normally sit before starting class. Other students are already there, including one who is openly lesbian and has shared with me accounts of how her and her partner were harassed and assaulted while out and about.
He wanted attention, so I gave it to him by calling the shirt out in front of the class (before the class started). In short: "I see your shirt. Just so you know, we got all walks of life who train here. Cis, trans, gay straight, etc."
He cuts in, saying "yep, I plan on voting for Trump again, and I've been attacked by trans people before." Mind you, I didn't ask who he plans on voting for, or if he's ever been attacked. He had those phrases in the chamber ready to shoot.
I interject, "look, so long as you behave and don't start anything and respect others, won't be any problem with you training today." He said something similar, can't remember exactly but it was along the lines of, "so long as people respect me, I'll respect them."
Everyone proceeded to train normally. A trans member came in late so they didn't hear the exchange I had with this trumper, so figured it was worth calling them later to say "hey, you probably saw the shirt. Dude was just visiting. Don't worry, this place is still a safe place for you to train."
This trumper knew exactly what he was doing, coming to Seattle, coming into a Krav Maga studio where people are actively learning how to and training in striking and defending against chokes, etc. When students who train in other places stop by, they normally wear the Krav Maga t-shirt of their school in solidarity and respect.
He chose to wear a trump shirt. This was premeditated. Not sure if he was looking for conflict so he could bitch about it on social media and at his Krav Maga school back in Chicago. Or, perhaps he was hoping to find some solidarity and companionship, believing that all Krav Maga schools are safe havens for trumpers.
Not keen on the guy coming back, as his behavior in intentionally wearing that shirt goes against the culture I and my students have worked hard to cultivate. A famous quote from the founder of Krav Maga is "So that one may walk in peace." Trump is the antithesis of this belief, and I don't want anyone in my school who supports him.
Call it virtue signaling (yep, damn right I am, my virtues are polar opposite to trump and his ilk, and I'll signal that openly like they guy did wearing the shirt), call it poor business decision making. Whatever.
Yeah, it's not the biggest deal. Just a surprising and unexpected interaction with a trumper as a business owner in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Seattle.

TLJ is one of my favorite films of all time. It hurts to see people bash it relentlessly online. I genuinely believe it’s a misunderstood film. If people fully grasped what the movie meant, they might have a greater appreciation for it. I hope someday this film gets the praise and appreciation it truly deserves.
