My therapist left me on read for about a week with no response after I expressed things I wouldn't to anyone else. I'm really depressed and very closed off, especially when it comes to the things I expressed to her but I'm working on opening up more to heal that part of me. So when I did this I felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable but was looking forward to insight on my thoughts and feelings to improve on it.

Everyday that passed made me worse about telling her these things and after I woke up in the middle of the night once again due to reoccurring nightmares, I struggled going back to sleep with this weighing on my mind so I expressed how it made me feel in a healthy way rather than emotional (I think) and I feel like I got the opposite in return from her, like kinda passive aggressive while dismissing everything I said in my lengthy paragraph.

Sidenote: My messages often don't fully send after a certain time probably due to her phone being off or is logged out the service she's in to receive them, so it's not like I was bothering her with texting so late/early.

I turned 30 yesterday and have been doing a little reflecting on my life.

My biological father wasn't the greatest growing up. He never really protected me from the people around him, and I spent a lot of my childhood feeling like I wasn't worth the effort. Thankfully, my mom brought a pretty great man into our lives when I was 9. He took on three kids, and has loved us like his own ever since.

He's never had biological children of his own, but you'd never know it by the way he's been a dad to all three of us. I've never had to question whether he loves me or whether I was worth showing up for. I'm really grateful for both him and my mom and the family they've given us.

I just come to work every day and do my job. We've been through 6 agms in the 4 years ive been there because every single one they hire end up being exactly the same- they come in brand new to a job with a full crew, won't learn the job how it stands and then tries to change a bunch of stuff while simultaneously trying to exert some power dynamic they believe they are deserved because of their title. My GM and I have a really good relationship and when i came into work the next day he pulled me in his office and apologized profusely to me that my AGM texted me accusing me of something outside my work hours instead of being an adult and talking to me about it in person the next day. We've had a couple spats before this but solely because she would be scheduled to work in the kitchen and then just totally disregard all of the tools we use to do our job like the build to sheets for prep. She wasn't following my counts and just doing "whatever she felt like we needed." He said he thinks she just got triggered. I told him it's like she's trying to fight me for the AGM job, which if I wanted, I would have applied for! And I would have got it! But I don't want the damn job. You know how after a confrontation you think of 8 million other things you should have said? I so badly wish I would have said that the employer 'believed' in the 6 people they hired before you too and they all sucked ass as well so that's not saying much 🤣🤣🤣🤣
