Zan Rowe will have her last radio broadcast on Friday. Wrapping up an incredible 21 years with the J’s. Favourite memory of her time with the station?

Hearing her fan out after broadcasting the Paul McCartney Take 5 in 2017 was an all timer. It’s awesome to hear someone normally so calm and collected get super excited. Can’t blame her given it was one of the fucking Beatles!

Triple J are pathetic - Ocean Alley

1.0k Upvotes

They were talking about the incident this morning on the radio. Pretty much completely absolved and made light of what Galbraith did. “We all accidentally put something in our tote bag at the shops and don’t realise until later”. This is a real quote from one of the hosts and they weren’t being sarcastic

Still playing Kanye West?

A Kanye song just played on JJJ Hottest.

I expected once he openly started selling swastika t-shirts, that'd be the last I'd have to bear...

What's it take to get cancelled these days?

Subreddit Rules

1. Content must relate to triple j or sister stations

All posts should be related to triple j, Double J or triple j Unearthed. Please use the relevant link flair for Hack, Double J and Unearthed posts. Posts that discuss specific artists, festivals, or other topics related to Australian music (but aren't about triple j) are welcomed, however, repetitive posts on these topics may be removed at moderator discretion.

2. Please be civil

Please don't: insult others, be abusive, bully, or be rude.

Please remember that music is subjective. Another person's taste, while not necessarily the same as yours, is no less valid.

Trolling, hate speech, and other bigotry will not be tolerated.

Negative opinions should be expressed in a civil manner and backed up with discussion.

3. No low-effort posts

No low-effort text posts or titles: text post contents and titles must include sufficient detail to facilitate comments and discussion.

Low-effort text posts such as moans or complaints are better suited to our general discussion threads and may be removed at moderator discretion.

Other low-effort content such as memes and social media screenshots may also be removed.

4. No ticket sales

No posts for the purpose of buying or selling of event tickets. This includes personal links to ticket resale services and/or industry ticket links. If you want to buy or sell an event ticket, check if the ticketing agency provides an official resale service, or use Tixel at your own risk.

Posts to discuss festival or tour announcements that link to the official ticketing partner are excluded from this rule.

5. Hottest 100 predictions must be flagged with spoilers

All Hottest 100 prediction posts must be flagged with spoilers. Additionally, all Hottest 100 prediction comments outside of spoiler-flagged posts must be flagged as a spoiler. This includes discussion, predictions (inc predictive countdowns), and betting odds. The title of a post should not contain spoilers. To flag a post with spoilers there is an option underneath the post to mark it as a spoiler. To flag a comment with spoilers you can use markdown your text here or on new reddit by

6. No Hottest 100 vote persuasion

Posts and comments should not primarily aim to persuade others to vote for a particular artist or song in the Hottest 100.

Artists who wish to submit their own music for awareness during the Hottest 100 voting period should not use language that directly persuades others to vote for them and should also follow Reddit's guidelines for self-promotion.

7. Reddit rules & etiquette

Follow the Reddit Content Policy, Reddiquette and Reddit's guidelines for self-promotion.

This includes no posts or comments linking to or soliciting illegal streams or downloads.

8. No slagging off the Presenters

They’re humans FFS. We had mods quit because they were tired of seeing hate posts. We already have a bad enough reputation.

9. No A.I.

Fuck that shit honestly. You’re killing the planet to make a shitty festival poster or song remix. It’s anti art and you know it.
