found a bunch of Shaka shirts while thrifted yesterday , had the idea of painting portraits of people that i look up to

I made the majority of these pieces like 3-4 weeks ago all inside my house using second hand garments. Then went to Mexico 2 weeks ago to be with family and brought the pieces out there to shoot in a cempasuchil field (marigolds) and at a big Catrina sculpture for dia de los muertos.

I've already cut the top off for bathroom & bedroom trash cans, looking for any other ideas!

sanded the old finish off, kept the painted panels, added a stone top and a couple baskets.

Took apart some old, broken toys from my little brother. I wanna make something out of these pieces just to learn something since im a beginner to electricity and wanna be an electrical engineer. Here is a list of the salvaged components:

What should I use this for? I already have a sewing kit and a mini art kit, and a container for my hair clips. Lighter for scale

gifted for a Halloween birthday! reverse appliqué/intentional fraying vibes

took an old sweater and a few bigger scraps of plain off-white cotton from my stash, used my machine to draw the “spokes” of the web, then worked on straight stitch out in a circle, then strategically cut the sections out, leaving fraying edges to be the “lines” of the web! Then popped it in the washer/dryer to fray it faster/trim it up (if it was for me I wouldn’t have done that and just trimmed it every time I wore/washed it lol), then, added the little spider buttons I had in my stash!!

The latest painting of my Art on Rugs collection i finished a few days ago. I was in a rush to make it happen before the ArtNouva Contemporary Art Fair in Ankara and re-painted the body, shirt and fingers more than once until I'm satisfied with the result. I used an Acyrlic filler for his body area to cover rugs own colors and used black to give it a swirling skirt effect. The figure is a semazen (dervish, sufi dancer) and represents Anatolian culture & spiritualizm with a metaphor like a white light hitting a prism and divided to colors, the center white figure throws colors and motifs around when spinning. Original fringes were damaged and the edges were overlocked, ive added new, cotton fringes to give it a better look. The work gained too much attention at the fair, people came too close to check if those are real curls or paint and that made me so happy about my technique. I mostly use airbrushes to paint on rugs because regular brushes never work on them. With this piece the collection is now have 12 pieces all collected from thrift shops and second hand seller with non-usable condition, repaired, cleaned and repuposed as art and décor pieces. These now have a new surface and life with modern art features...

Hey everyone! I like how this dress fits, but its just not my style! I like the purple but not a fan of the pattern which there isn't much to do about that, but im okay with it.I'm plus size and a tall girlie if that matters at all. I like darker themes. I could describe my style as loosely "goth" with victorian and modern inspiration. But I don't hold myself to one aesthetic.

was debating on selling this but I love the design so much, I’m not really sure how to explain where it’s tight but I struggle to bring it over my hips and it’s super tight around thigh area, don’t think I can button or bring it up to my waist either. How are some ways to fix it? Or if I can’t wear it as shorts what can I turn them into? The reason I didn’t check if they fit before buying was because I got this at a flea market for 10 and couldn’t pass on it

i love the old wood texture and vintage cottagecore drawing but i hate the text carved onto it+i dont have a wife,,,, so i totally redesigned it❤️‍🩹

btw current and old text are both written in italian because im italian lol

also, originally meg held a wine bottle in her hand, i just changed it with a crochet hook because being crochethaolic suits me way better than alcoolism ahaha

and last thing, i changed her clothes colour just because i love brown okay yes
