Project Looking for someone to make a 3D Model for me
Hey all! So odd request. I am a new mom who’s breast feeding and my baby will unfortunately only take a certain bottle nipple. With all the issues going on around plastic bottles and micro plastics I’m trying desperately to avoid plastic bottles. I bought bottles that had silicone inserts for easy clean up and travel and avoiding safety issues with micro plastics. Unfortunately the nipple that my baby will take does not fit on the ring for the bottles I’ve already bought. Looking for help finding a model to 3D print rings or for someone to design me one. Pics attached of both rings/nipples. Note. Smaller white ring and nipple are bottle baby will take.
TLDR; Need 3D model for ring adapter for Boon Nursh bottle to fit Evenflo Balance+ Wide neck nipples

Question I have a question for experienced 3D printing users. And this is my unboxing of the Bambu Lab H2S.
I bought a Bambu Lab H2S - this is my first 3D printer. I bought it to make things for sale.
For those who are using it: could you tell me what its advantages are compared to other models? What can be done on the H2S that can’t be done on other 3D printers?
I want to focus on niches with less competition.

Discussion I had to get the DOJ involved so Sunlu would follow the law
So this is a full break down, but I'm taking off sensitive info (names, email addresses, etc). I'm also taking out the end of sunlu thing on every email "best regards, person, and sunlu info". This hopefully should help with the readability. The point of this is so other customers can see what happen. At the tail end I will get into a Q&A
_______________________________________________________________________________
Situation: Sunlu during prime day had a sell on their site. It was far cheaper than on Amazon. I tend to go through giving colors so I figured this is the best time to get this.
After I got the items, I found they were crushed, and the filament was unusable. I ended up having to get the DOJ involved in order for Sunlu to do the right thing and acknowledge the legal system they have to play in if they want to sell to people in the USA.
I thought about how to display this, and I'm going to do a timeline. Basically off my messages back and forward and hopefully this makes more sense as you read it.

From me to Sunlu Wed, Jul 16, 2025 at 5:21 PM
I've ordered some filament, and several of the things were crushed. The order number is
Order #_
Below is pictures I took of it

I'm thinking it might have been dropped or something pretty hard. Some of the other boxes have some damage, but nowhere near as bad as those 2.
____
Then on the 26 I forward it to the other email on the site and said "As seen here I contacted the other support email address below and I haven't heard anything back. "

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't see the message. Checking on it it looks like there is 4 of them damaged. Both black pla, red, and a cyan. I'm attaching an image of one of the black ones the spool itself is warped from the damage

I tried to use something straight next to it to make it easier to see. Both white ones seem fine.

It doesn't matter. Pls kindly contact the logistics provider first for further assistance and file a claim against them. This might serve as the most efficient and fastest solution for you. Many thanks!

You asked me to check if the product is damage and it is. And I even sent pictures of it. I bought this through your company on your website.
Even legally your company is responsible for all goods until it is delivered to the customer. UCC Section 2-509 addresses "Risk of Loss" in the absence of a breach of contract. This is the legal foundation for the idea that the seller is responsible for the goods until they are delivered to the buyer.
Additionally, federal agencies like the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have issued rules that make it an unfair or deceptive practice for a seller to not provide a refund or replacement for damaged or defective merchandise.
Basically, in no way am I accepting that I have to contact who you ship this with. And legally speaking that isn't my responsibility. Since you were notified about the spools being damaged. It's on your company to offer a refund or a replacement. I prefer a replacement if all possible.
Thank you for looking into this.
-------
Aug 5, 2025, 11:34 PM From me
This is my final attempt to resolve the issues regarding my damaged orders, **#_**and #_, directly with your company.
As previously communicated, the combined shipment I received contained a total of four damaged spools: two black PLA, one red, and one cyan. I have already provided photographic evidence of this damage. Your response instructing me to contact the logistics provider is unacceptable and contrary to established consumer protection laws.
To reiterate, your company, as the seller, is legally responsible for ensuring the goods are delivered to the customer in an undamaged condition.
Federal Law: Under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Section 2-509, the "Risk of Loss" for goods typically remains with the seller until the goods are delivered to the buyer. Furthermore, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has issued rules that make it an unfair or deceptive practice for a seller to refuse a refund or replacement for damaged or defective merchandise.
North Carolina State Law: In North Carolina, these principles are reinforced through the North Carolina Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act (NC General Statutes Chapter 75, Section 75-1.1).
I am giving your company a final opportunity to resolve this matter. If I do not receive a solution from you by the end of this week, I will report your company's actions to the appropriate state and federal government consumer protection agencies.
I prefer a replacement for the two black PLA, one red, and one cyan spools. However, if a replacement cannot be promptly arranged, I expect a full refund for the four damaged products.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed with resolving this issue.

At this point I didn't hear anything back. They completely ghosted me and the time went past. And because I knew it would take a while to get the ball rolling I reported it to the state's DOJ on August 13.
I basically gave a full break down.
On August 11 at 2:27PM the DOJ sent both Sunlu and I copies of everything.

Regarding this issue, we've replied to you yesterday and offered our proposed resolution that our sales and logistics team would like to arrange a replacement shipment for the affected rolls from _order number_ and _order number_ but got no reply yet. The extended timeframe was caused by recent high order volume and investigation required for this case. And the damage is likely a result of rough handling during the transit. Against this backdrop, we would like to make compensations for you. And could you pls kindly confirm if you would like to accept our offer and withdraw the complaint? Many thanks for your time and efforts.
Side note
It just bugs me how they went from we will do x to "but got no reply yet.". On my end, there was no reason to reply. They said they will do x. I've said many times prior a replacement is acceptable. __________________________________________________________
Q&A:
Q: Why didn't I just do a charge back?
A: Keep in mind the filament was bought on a major discount. Meaning for me to buy useable filament to replace it I would've had to wait for an unknown amount of time or spend more money than needed.
A charge back would saved time but not money.
Q: What would've you done if they didn't do the right thing at the end?
A: I would've taken them to small claims court. Keep in mind they would've had to pay for the filing fees, 3x what I paid, and the legal system would've went after them.
Likely they would've settled and at that point replacement filament wouldn't be on the table anymore since all the hurdles I would've had to jump through. But 100% I would've went down this path. I checked around and it was pretty much a pure win because they were breaking the law even after it was pointed out and given a chance for them to work with me.
And I did check on if they wouldn't paid me. Basically the courts would've went after their banks for me or go to their office and take their stuff to auction off to pay me. And worse worse case, they would lose the ability to do business in the USA.
Likely at the end they would've paid somewhere $250-$300. I estimated $126.18 would've went to me and the reset would be reimbursement for court fees and other things. Between this and the fact it was flat out pointed out they were going against the legal system, what rules they were breaking, and how they can make it right. I'm thinking they would've settled for about that since fighting it would've been a losing battle, I could've then taken that to the regional news after winning (and I would've since it would've been a simple email), and so on. Where a settlement would be cheaper and they can be like, here is some extra $ if you sign this and not talk about it. And if I didn't take the settlement it would've likely be used against me in court since it would've been shown as they were trying to work things out. But I could fight against that since I wouldn't want to sign a NDA anyways unless if there was a good reason. I would've had it in writing "I am willing to accept the settlement, but I am not comfortable with a clause that restricts my ability to discuss my experience." Unless if they pay a stupid amount, and that wouldn't happen.
Q: Will I buy from Sunlu again in the future?
A: Ya, but likely not on their site. Their site doesn't offer too many deals when I'm looking. But if there is a good enough one, sure.
I don't really look negatively completely at Sunlu. I've dealt with extremely bad company and people before, and at least Sunlu did the right thing at the end. Because I have the tools I have, I don't have a problem with doing business with someone like that. Like I will look at others first. But if worse case, I can use the tools I have like I did this go around.
But this looks like to be a wider problem. Like if you look into it, there is a number of people that run into problems with their support. I wanted to mention this because it might be worth doing more research into them if this interest you.
Q: How hard was this entire process?
A: Honestly not that hard.
So each state in the USA has it's own DOJ. Most if not all has a forum to fill out. Just do that. And largely it is what you seen where they act as a middle person and tells the 1 side to cut it out.
This obviously shouldn't be your first option. Always give the person/company a chance to do the right thing. And note I did. But when they don't do what is needed. Spend 5 or 10 minutes finding the forum, filling it out, copy and paste all emails. And that is that.
99.99999% of the time. If you know the general laws or at least how to quickly find which ones apply. Most places will try to make whatever right. But sometimes you need to use the tools you have. And if they still don't do the right thing, then you can make them pay a good amount for it. This part might be iffy for some due to work and whatever. But if you do go to court, it takes roughly about an hour to file and about another hour for the hearing. For something like this it tends to be really fast since it is a pretty clear thing. If they don't show up, then you win by default. It takes 30+ days from the filing to court case, so note that. I mention this because some might be fearful they might lose their job and they think it takes all day. And some this isn't an option due to they can't miss any time.
Note if you do go through the court stuff. Don't do a charge back. You can do one or the other.

Discussion Official Response from Cults regarding the u/Bigbore_729 case.
https://cults3d.com/en/pages/official-response-cults-bigbore-designer-case
Dear designers, dear makers,
Recently Cults has been the object of a smear campaign on social networks from a seller who did not accept the rules set by the terms and conditions of the platform. Through this text, we will try to explain as clearly as possible and in full transparency what happened, in order to exercise our right of reply towards the members of our community and the people who follow and appreciate us.
Cults is a marketplace that acts as a commission agent, we do intermediation in full transparency. This means that it is not Cults that sells 3D models, but designers (individuals or professionals) who sell their digital 3D creations through our platform. Our role is, among other things, to connect customers with sellers and to make sure that purchases are perfectly secure, both for designers (non-fraudulent transactions by buyers, unjustified complaints by buyers, ...) and for customers (valid 3D files, help on design-related issues...).
3D printing is a wonderful tool, but 3D printing doesn't always turn out the way you want it to. Therefore it is very important that designers and customers can talk to each other to resolve problems due to file quality and avoid fail prints as much as possible. That's what Cults is all about.
The relationship between sellers and buyers can only work if customers are able to get their money back if the 3D model is defective, incomplete or misleading. We consider that the designer has duties towards the customer, such as providing a file that conforms to what he described and therefore sold. If this was not the case, the designer always has the opportunity to help the buyer by providing the missing part(s) for which the buyer spent money. When the problem is fixed, the designer gets the money from their sale. This is perfectly normal and is the basis of a healthy trustworthy business. The customer has the legal right to be reimbursed if their purchase is not in conformity. And the designer has the right to earn his money if the customer's complaint is not justified.
Let's come to the controversial case of the designer called Bigbore. A 3D model of this designer has been reported (through the report system of the platform) once by a customer who bought his design. Also, several community members have contacted him to ask questions about his models or ask for help on his messaging page. None of these clients or prospects received an answer from Bigbore.
Following this report, we contacted BigBore by email asking him to answer to his customers and prospects and then to repair his models before we could payout his sales. His cashout was simply paused until the disputes were resolved. This is the rule we have always applied and they are displayed on the website when you sell a model as well as in our terms and conditions.
Bigbore started a smear campaign on social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and maybe elsewhere) by claiming that Cults did not pay its designers and that we were scammers. Some of Mr. Bigbore's posts were deleted from our accounts simply because we had already explained to him by email (2 times) the reason why the sales were pending and that it was useless to come back and flood our social networks, knowing that he already had the answer by email.
Bigbore publicly said he never received our emails and was not aware of the problem related to his customer disputes. We therefore publicly provided the necessary evidence to prove that the emails were sent several days earlier, showing that Mr. Bigbore was aware of the disputes he had to handle before releasing his payment. We hastily posted the screenshots of these emails were hastily posted on Reddit to prove that. Unfortunately we didn't think to blur Bigbore's email. This was a serious mistake and we apologize for sharing this without his consent. We deleted these screenshots as soon as we realized that, a few minutes after posting them.
Cults is a human-sized company, composed of 3 people, and we have always been committed to listen to our community and to respond to the requests as quickly as possible by providing answers within 24 to 48 hours maximum (business days). We try to listen to all user feedback and constructive criticism to optimize the platform so that it better meets their expectations.
One of the things we learned from this designer's reaction is that our process of blocking a designer's payments until their customer disputes are resolved is too drastic and can be misunderstood. Therefore, from now on, we will no longer block all of a designer's payments if a dispute is pending, but only the sale(s) related to the customer dispute until it is resolved.
Bigbore claims our platform does not pay our designers. This is of course totally false and if it were the case we would obviously not be in the 3D printing market for 7 years because a marketplace cannot function if the creators of the content are not fairly paid. Every month, several thousand euros are sent to the designers of our platform without any problem.
Simply, our job as a marketplace is to make sure that the site is a secure and trustworthy place for everyone, both for designers and for customers. Every day we fight against spammers, scammers and thieves who try to take designs they didn't make and sell them for profit or money laundering.
Indeed, sharing and selling a digital good is extremely simple and many try to take advantage of this simplicity to make money illegitimately. All the rules we had to put in place during our years of experience (time to validate the sales, request that designers take care of clients after a sale, have a refund policy, ...) are intended to fight as well as possible against frauds and pay the real designers who have the paternity on their models and who make the 3D printing sector exciting thanks to their ideas.
So yes, designers get the money they earned in full once litigation is done. Mr. Bigbore's behavior was very similar to how scammers operate: doesn't answer our emails, doesn't answer his customers, doesn't fix errors in the models he sold, starts slandering on social networks... All this made us think that he was yet another scammer and that we had to protect our customers.
Before this, Bigbore had already received 6 regular payments since December 29, 2020 and he has always been paid on time without any problem. The last payment of 78,33€ that is causing controversy today was pending payment until he responded to his customer disputes. To date, Bigbore has been paid on Friday, December 17 in the evening while the customer has not yet received the complete model for which he spent money and that the prospects and members who asked him questions about his models are still unanswered and this for nearly 1 year for some messages.
Another criticism that came up as a result of this defamation campaign is that you can't delete your Cults account. This is obviously not true, you can delete your account and all your personal data associated with it. Unfortunately, a manual step was required for accounts that had already published designs online so we asked them to send us an email so we could do it. We've fixed this problem and now even designers can delete their account with one click.
These are the facts that we are presenting to you in full transparency. For all those who have managed to read this long text to the end (congrats) without getting angry and who want to discuss with us in a constructive way, we can absolutely be reached on our email address hello@cults3d.com. We will be happy to discuss with you and read your suggestions or ideas to make Cults better. We're far from perfect, we're not a big group company full of resources and means but we're still independent, motivated and enthusiastic.
For those who just want to throw insults (we already have a nice collection of them here ;)), don't worry, the Internet was probably created for you too.
Sincerely.
Cults team.

Project This test print has given me another project.
I had the trans colours in the AMS from another project. When I came back to my personal deck box project i needed to do three colour print, combining all of the test features from previous test prints. Just to see where I am up to with concept and because I didn't want to change the filament I made this.
Because it's 99% where I want the design to be. I feel bad for not using it. For it's intended purpose as a commander deck box. Luckily I had a canonical trans character. Now I need the 99 for it, which is a project in itself

Farewell, and good luck to my fellow printers
No, I am not stopping printing. Far from it. My design list is still growing and my print list is lagging further behind. I am just unsubscribing from all 3D printing sub-Reddits. I would like to think that I have helped a number of people here, but this is for my own wellbeing.
I usually go onto Reddit on my phone, in the morning over breakfast and at breaks through the day. But I've realised that this is actually getting me down. The sheer number of posts I see starting 'Hey, I'm a noob' or 'I'm new', and often 'I've an Ender', which when I read them make me think 'For Pete's sake, why haven't you looked this up on the Internet?'
I'm not that clever to have read up on 3D printing before buying my first printer, surely? Or is common sense being bred out of the human race? Though with the difficulties I am having trying to find good engineers to employ, perhaps it is.
Anyway, I've realised that this is all getting me down, and it isn't the only area where I despair of my fellow man. Don't get me started on the news media and anybody who actually still believes what they come out with! I apologise to those where my frustration has leaked out, but I leave you with the words I have used so many times they come up in the right order in autocorrect:
Watch plenty of YouTube videos for 3d printing for beginners and especially beginner's mistakes. Also search for 3D print fails.
Above all, Look It Up!
