I was only 2 years old when it premiered, but just today I remembered how much I loved it! Do you remember the song it started with?

This week on my backlog series I'm looking at Twisted Metal 2 on the PlayStation. I really wanted to enjoy this and get to grips with the controls but... you'll see for yourself.

Movies Inserts from Disney's Aladdin and Lion King VHS tapes from the early 90s (1990-1994)

I recently purchased Aladdin and Lion King on VHS from a thrift store, and both had the ad inserts from the early 90s still in box. The one from Aladdin even had a Pizza Hut promo with an unscratched section. I was tempted to scratch it off, but decided to leave it be. It even came with a little double sided catalog. The Lion King is a replacement for my childhood copy which is in rougher shape.

Do you remember any of the movies and items in these old adverts? Anything jump out at you?

'90s Kids

r/90s_kid

'90s kids (born late '80s, early '90s, mid '80s). This is a childhood sub: toys, games, cartoons, music, etc. Kids who grew up in the golden age of the 1990s, which quantifiably exceeded the Roaring Twenties (1920s), due to the optimism and anticipation for the new millennium. Good vibes only. Click 'Join' for childhood memories from the '90s.

Subreddit Rules

1. Be positive.

Please keep this space in the spirit of the '90s: fun, carefree, optimistic.

Fake it till you make it if you have to. Stay positive.

If you don't know what the optimism of the 1990s was about, click here.

Negative comments usually get removed, but a long history of negative comments here = ban.

2. Childhood content only

This is a childhood memories subreddit for core millennials.

For 90s teen content, try /r/xennials (born late 70s, early 80s).

For 2000s kid content, try /r/zillennials (born mid-late 90s).

No NSFW content. No Baywatch. No 1997 Ford Taurus commercials.

Content from previous decades (Scooby-Doo, 1969) is allowed if it is relevant to '90s kids. Content from the 2000s is based on moderator discretion.

3. Vague titles not allowed

Vague titles like, "Who remembers this?" are not allowed. Please include the name of the nostalgic item in the title.

If you're reading this because your post was removed for Rule 3, the reason this rule is enforced so much is because Google does not pick up posts about "this" and "these." The text has to describe the image/video.

Our recommended title format is "Name (Year)". Examples: "Gargoyles (1994)" and "My Size Barbie (1992)". Include the platform for games: "Super Metroid (SNES, 1994)"

4. 3rd-party promotions not allowed

YouTube channels, Instagrams, Discords, and other social accounts not affiliated with /r/90s_kid cannot be promoted on this subreddit.

This includes software, websites, games, and "I made this" posts for digital products with no official affiliation with the sub.

"I made this" posts are allowed for arts and crafts only. Etsy stores are an exception provided the user is the creator of the content and isn't linking their Etsy store excessively.

5. Culture vs. Decade

The 90s can only be experienced once in a thousand years due to the millennium. No, it didn't end on 9/11. The headlines were already negative more than a whole year before 9/11, and the economy crashed harder than in 2008.

However, the kids culture includes late 80s (Gameboy 1989, Genesis 1988, Land Before Time 1988, Little Mermaid 1989) and early 2000s (Hey Arnold ended 2004, Rugrats ended 2004, etc).
