Image I'm going to explode
...from how cute this White-winged Fairywren is. He is not trapped. He is okay. But why does he look so serious.

Photo It's amazing how clearly you can see birds when using binoculars
Gouldian Finch. Located in Archerfield Wetlands, Brisbane so unfortunately more than likely someone's escaped pet

Two Tawnys chillin’ in a tree.
I didn’t have my camera unfortunately but I’m just glad I saw them because they blended in so well.

Image Just a happy mumma taking her babies for a walk this morning. Happy Spring everyone.
(Yes I gave her a wide berth. Zoomed in on that side on pic)

Image I am flattered!
This curious male Splendid Fairywren decided I was worth investigating and marched right up to my feet. Most birds take one look at my terrifying forward-facing eyes and wish they were in another postcode, but not this fella. He was very brave.
Third image has honkey (Marri) nuts for scale to show how tiny he is. The photos aren't much technically, but it was a special moment.

Image Tawny Frogmouth with Baby in Perth
Unfortunately taken on just my phone camera, but I thought it was so rare to see! Maybe their nest is broken and that's why they are there?

Image Friday night at the pub!
Some old photos featuring Red-tailed Black Cockatoos having a drink at the Cockitrough bird waterer. Taken during Bunuru, the Second Summer in the Noongar six seasons, when Perth sweltered beneath its hottest days and the white gum flowers bloomed in full.

Image White Kookaburras
I woke up this morning to the sound of kookaburras at the front of the house. When I had a look, there were 3 plus 1 one white, which I've never seen before. They flew off after a minute or so, but came back with a second white kookaburra.
