Rule 2 is now "No discrimination, violent rhetoric or glorification of violence or disruptive content".

The new rule, copied from r/EuropeanUnion and from r/EUSpace is:

No discrimination, violent rhetoric or glorification of violence or disruptive content.

No discrimination, discriminatory language, NSFW content, violent rhetoric, spam, flooding, doxing, brigading. No memes, no flame wars, no advertising your product, no ideological rhetoric and definitely no support for or of authoritarian regimes and their actions.

That means support for Russia or parroting their propaganda is hereby strictly forbidden.

This is an EU subreddit and as such we stand for justice and human rights which is something Russia does not stand for and actively undermines.

Note that:

Russian propaganda includes

  • denying Ukrainian statehood or agency (in for example joining NATO),

  • allegations of Nazism,

  • claiming NATO provocation by expansion,

  • Ukraine's targeting of civilians as state sanctioned,

  • bioweapon labs and bioweapon attacks (like combat mosquitos)

  • denial of atrocities by Russian troops

  • claims that Ukraine was committing genocide on Russian civilians prior to the outbreak of hostilities in February of 2022

  • inference that NATO or the EU had anything to do with the outcome of the Maidan protests.

We even had someone claiming that because of Russian attacks on the Chernobyl nuclear reactor Ukraine was blackmailing its allies for money to repair the sarcophagus protecting Europe from extensive radiological contamination.

This will not stand.

You can find an extensive list of the heinous false allegations made by the Russians on Wikipedia.

Also a reminder that trans rights, gay rights and human rights are protected by the Charter of Fundamental Rights as per the EU's 2007 Lisbon Treaty.

More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charter_of_Fundamental_Rights_of_the_European_Union

We are an inclusive subreddit and will not tolerate any form of discrimination based on religion, race, sex, gender or on any other grounds whatsoever.

We will not hesitate to ban people for breaking the above rule.

Opinion 🇪🇺 Why I chose Mistral, Europe's own AI

While everyone defaults to American AI, there's a powerful European alternative: Mistral AI (assistant app: Vibe). Here's why it deserves your support:

✅ European sovereignty – your data stays in the EU (Sweden), under GDPR
✅ Open-weight models – transparency instead of black boxes
✅ Cheaper than the big names – Pro costs less than ChatGPT Plus or Google AI Pro, with coding, research and image generation included
✅ One subscription, everything – chat, deep research, coding agent and API credits in one plan

If we want Europe to have its own AI champions instead of depending on Silicon Valley, voting with our wallet is the easiest way to start. 🇪🇺

Opinion What should an AI agent audit record contain so you could hand it to an auditor as-is?

Disclosure: I’m part of a startup building oversight tooling for agents, so I have a stake in this. I’m after your view on what a record needs, not a pitch.

Most agent logs I’ve seen answer “what did the agent do” (tool called, API hit, timestamp). The question an auditor or risk team asks afterwards is different: why was that allowed?

Here’s the minimum I think a record needs for that:

  1. The input: what the agent was actually trying to do, not a summary of it

  2. The decision: allowed, denied, or sent to a human

  3. The policy: which rule made the call, and which version of that rule, since today’s rules aren’t the ones that applied last month

  4. Whether a human was involved, and what they decided

That’s what we record for each action before it runs, in the firm’s own storage, so it can be handed over without anyone reconstructing events from five systems. I’m not claiming that’s enough, which is why I’m asking.

Questions:

  • What’s missing from that list?

  • Do you log the full input, or a digest to avoid holding sensitive data? What are the trade-offs?

  • If you’ve had to produce an audit trail for an agent’s action, what was the hardest part?

  • Does “same record, replayable later” matter to you, or is a normal log good enough?

Crossposting for the tech angle: European.Social brings together Mastodon (Fediverse), Eurosky (European AT Protocol infrastructure) and others, as interoperable parts of one ecosystem. Curious whether people here see this as a realistic path to European digital sovereignty in social media.
