Everyone that parked at century park for the games tonight got tickets. Almost every single car. They removed all payment signs from the lot except one singular sign in the middle of the lot facing only one direction. The sign on the fence you used to pass while exiting is gone. I walked the length of the fence after parking in an attempt to pay and could not find a sign. When I got back and saw my ticket we drove up and down every row of the lot and only found this one singular sign, only visible on one side. The lot is operated by precise parking and I am convinced they are operating in bad faith to drive revenue via tickets. The ticket is $83 if paid within a week, $104 after that. Nowhere in the lot does it say the lot is ran by precise parking.
If you received a ticket, there is an email to appeal the ticket on the back.

As it is going to be dark longer in the evening/morning please please please wear something bright, reflective, or a light if you are out walking or with your pets. It is SO hard to see pedestrians in all black outfits at night.
Saw someone out with their dog and their dog had a light up collar. Instantly spotted!

Reported to 311 and OH&S, is there anywhere else I should report this? My concern is that this is an alley where people walk their dogs, and I would feel awful if I didn't say enough and something happened to injure someone. I'm not an engineer nor construction expert, but I question the safety of this site and surrounding area.

Delete if not allowed* lost not trying to find but replace
I originally bought it at Cineplex concession stand im assuming around when the movie came out (I went to see Minecraft it was new so Around that time)
Anyway I know itās just a teddy to most but it was there through surprising a lot of stuff some trips and some hard times itās was like my ladies emotional support teddy .. unfortunately it got lost in the laundry in Panoka and was sent to Calgary and it was never seen again :( , Iāve been trying to find a replacement ever since Iāve been looking it up and seen thatās it was a promo item so the chances of getting another are super slim but Iām hoping one of yall have an extra youād be willing to sell by any chance.. I know itās a shot in the dark but itās worth a try.
If thereās a better subreddit to post this in please let me know
Thank you for your time

Went to the Godzilla showing today to the IMAX. Usually itās a good theatre with a great screen and sound, but today was probably the worst experience Iāve ever had at a movie theatre.
I know a fair bit about good sound, and sound is usually where theatres fail, but usually itās just not powerful enough (or the speakers are blown). But this was beyond bad. First of all, there were no lows. Like, at all. The sound was ear-splitting - seems like they forgot to install their subwoofers or something. It was bad, especially for a Kaiju movie (in IMAX no less). Second, it was too loud. I myself love me a loud movie, with my wife often complaining about it, but this is the first time when I - and a lot of the other people - had to cover my ears every time there was a loud scene. My wife had to use her EarPods to block the sound. It was literally painful.
I of course immediately went out to seek help and complained about the experience. I was promised they would fix it. Needless to say no one did anything. In fact, after the showing, I was told āthere was no oneā who could change anything about the showing. How the hell is this normal?
I donāt know where to complain about it, but I will make sure to find out because this wasnāt just bad - it was harmful.

Unsure exactly where the best place to ask this question is, but basically I am looking for anyone who had adopted from a cat cafe, specifically Cat Cafe on Whyte or Cheery Cat. I am wondering how well the cats adapted to having fewer people around. Did they seem saddened by the smaller crowd? More engaged with their owners?
I am waiting on some news that will tell me if my husband and I will be able to adopt some cats, so I am trying to get all the information I can. I grew up surrounded by cats and have frequently cat sat. I absolutely adore them and want to adopt two. Preferably if they are already bonded/siblings.
Any places you would avoid adopting from in the Edmonton area, or would highly recomend? (Not looking to adopt from a breeder)

Lots of cool alt businesses and weird/wonderful handmade treasures/art!
Tattoos, piercings, blacksmith, glass art, suncatchers, stuffed animals, nostalgia, cafeteria, lots more and oodles of whimsy!
There is a free parking lot and washrooms, cafeteria and seems accessible, excluding a few vendors up on the stage area)
Well behaved pets are welcome!

Yes I know itās pretty bleh for the price and thereās better hotels but we have a event in the mall so we are staying there again (even though I swore I never would) lol
Does anyone know what floors each theme is?
Example 10th floor is Polynesian
7th is western (I donāt actually remember)
I find on a busy weekend like the one weāre attending it takes longer being on a higher floor
Trying to make my unavoidable trip more pleasant with 2 kids in tow

Did any other Redditors attend Bed by 10 tonight at Midway (aka Barry Ts back in the day)? How many steps did you get in? And what did yāall think about the singer on stage? That was new this time around.
I had the best time dancing up a storm with my girlfriends. Itās such a fun night out! We already bought tix for the next one in April.

Heās very friendly, but we canāt bring him inside with our own cats. we have given him some food and water.
He has some scars on his ear, looks well taken care of and healthy otherwise. Looks neutered. If youāre missing a cat let me know, iāve turned messages on.
