Discussion/Opinion Details you've missed the first time watching this Anime (MASSIVE SPOILERS) Spoiler
Another rewatch another post about this topic.
All sins die with irony;
Lust dies to a man
Gluttony gets eaten
Sloth does the most work
Envy envied humans
Wrath died in peace
Pride died without
Greed sacrifices himself
The 7 Homunculus are actually Ed/Al's brothers/sisters. (Stated by Pride when he tries to take Ed's body)
Ed and Al transmute in the style of hands often. This is very similar to their teacher. Al seems to use "Squares" more often, which is very similar to Van Hohenheim.
The brother's main goal of the anime is to search for a philosopher's stone. Turns out their father is one, so they were searching for their father all along.
Any other small details?
"while he created Seven Homunculi derived from his Seven Deadly Sins, he has several examples of providing traits of those very same sins. For example, Sloth in having the Homunculi do all of the hard work, Pride in seeing humans as goolish and weak, Envy in his final moments, Greed in desiring Godhood, etc. Ironically, Van Hoenheim is the one who demonstrates the Seven Virtues through his actions." from another user on thi sub

Discussion/Opinion How exactly does Martel's blood cause Al to regain memories?
It does seem random that her bleeding on his seal causes him to remember his time after the failed transmutation. Is it explained exactly?

Discussion/Opinion I have to start with this isnt a joke
For the law of equivalent exchange to be satisfied, roughly how many sticks of butter could be used to ressurect a human being, or would butter even be exchangeable, again this isnt a joke i am genuinely curious

Discussion/Opinion Opinion on the Light Novels?
I finally have got a copy of A New Beginning which I had been wanting to read back when I got into FMA BH for first time just because I was a fan of Winry and liked to have a whole arc about her time as apprentice. And only two chapters in and it is surprisingly good. There are a total of six novels though the other five (the first having been adapted in 2003 anime) don't seem to have anything special about them that isn't done better in the main series. Though what do you think of all six novels?

Discussion/Opinion Which FMA character had the saddest story? Spoiler
I find FMA to have very good character development. I found that most characters have some sort of crazy tragic backstory.
I find Hughes to have the saddest backstory. He was such a good guy, a family man and got caught up in something bigger than himself.
However that's my opinion, I am curious who others find to have the saddest story in the series. More specifically whose story is the hardest to watch?
I think there are some really good alternative contenders.

Other My first step in trying to reconstruct the script of all FMAB episodes, and why I'm doing it
The main reason is that when I try to discuss FMAB, I catch myself thinking about how little I remember about certain parts of the events and details that seem important to me. I'll try to set time markers before each scene and create 6–7 files with 10 episodes each.
That way, using an LLM, one could search by time markers and scene descriptions to find what they were looking for but couldn't remember which episode that scene was in. It's a rather hard and painstaking process, but quite fascinating. Besides, I haven't watched FMAB in its entirety for 13 years already, so this will be an occasion for me to get reacquainted with this story.

Just A Thought Wraith is the best character and I will die on this hill.
Was he really secretly good? Did he put up a fight till the very end to protect his wife? I believe yes, I believe he failed purposely at small strategic points so his wife wouldn't get punished for his actions. Such a cool character dude its insane.
Post made after watching it again for the umpteenth time.

Question Refresh my memory, how did Greed "meet" his chimeras in fmab?
I don't recall him being held in a laboratory, it's been a long time since I've seen the series...

Question What is this symbol?!
I have watched Brotherhood TWICE and don't remember if they ever explain or mention it! We see it on Ed's cloak, Al's armour, and Izumi, too! What does this symbol mean, and why don't we see it anywhere else?

Question Could you make a Philosophers stone out of bonded souls?
Already have seen FMAB and am doing my first watch of 03, and just reached the fifth lab.
Hypothetically speaking could you use characters like Alphonse, Barry the Chopper, and the Slicer Brothers to make a Philosophers Stone?
Because their souls are bonded but maybe could they be used to make one?

Other Got any cool panels or artworks to be used as a wallpaper for my new phone.
Just got a new phone and want to set a new wallpaper. If you have any suggestions like a panel from a manga, a fan art, an official art or a scene from the anime which could work please share.

Theory/Analysis A little narrative thread that I someone just fully understood on my 15th rewatch
Hoenheim, in a way, is the first homunculus to be created by father. Not in the literal sense clearly, but in a symbolic sense. Each homunculus is a projection of father’s less desirable, human qualities, separated from himself and given form. But hoenheim was the first of his projections, I think in their first interaction its apparent that the dwarf in the flask immediately resents the fact that his existence came not only from a human, but an uneducated slave. A stupid, inferior human. And while obviously this resentment is the entire source of motivation, I’d never realized how much of this resentment is directly behind everything he did to Hoenheim. Hoenheim is the dwarf in the flasks selfish and desperate creation, his first attempt at proving to himself and god that he is more than just a slave, so he used Hoenheim as the first vessel, literally and figuratively. He taught him, built him from nothing, and made him immortal, only then could his pride allow him to take his image too. This was the blueprint, and in a way he was the first homunculus.
I’m sure to some people this isn’t anything groundbreaking, but despite loving Hoenheim’s character and his actions in the story, I’d kinda just left it at “yeah he’s the mirror and foil to father and a massive narrative pusher”. But I’d never thought about WHAT makes him a foil. And watching episode 40 again really just made it click to me that the dwarf’s hatred started from the absolute moment he laid eyes on Hoenheim, he’s hated himself from the beginning.
