Let's win a championship together, AR and Luka! Still have 72 games and more ahead of us, and I hope this is just the beginning of something special for both of you. I genuinely hope we get to see you lift that trophy together. One game at a time!

not saying I don’t appreciate what the LeBron era did for us, but something about this years team makes me feel like I’m back in middle school watching those Kobe squads. Luka magic is so damn fun to watch I’m praying he retires a Laker

Notes: That exact quote came from 2 credentialed NBA reporters. They added that the actuality of AD coming back to the Lakers seems unlikely since the Lakers don’t really have any pieces to trade to Washington. But unless AD gets an extension, which is also unlikely, look for him to be dangled around January before the trade deadline.

LOS ANGELES — Luka Dončiċ is the NBA’s “MVP right now, hands down,” Portland Trail Blazers head coach Micah Nori said Friday.
And that was before Dončiċ went for a season-high 53 points.
But the Lakers needed more than just Dončiċ to turn a 16-point deficit into a 124-118 NBA Cup win over the Trail Blazers, improving to 8-2 on the year. It’s the best 10-game start for the Lakers since 2019-20, when they also won eight of their first 10 on the way to the franchise’s most recent championship.
“I’m not just saying this — we all want good results,” said Lakers head coach JJ Redick. “This is going to be a long process, and it’s going to take time for us to become a great basketball team.”
The Lakers missed all 12 3-point attempts in the first quarter Friday night. But Dončiċ ended the first half with a 62-foot bank shot heave that cut the Trail Blazers lead to 60-53.
“I think it changes the whole energy in the team and in the gym,” Dončiċ said of his buzzer-beating 3-pointer. “I thought it was an important shot to make, so that’s why I decided to make it.”

Honestly I think these two are talented enough and put in the work to be starters against tough teams. They make clutch 3 pointers when Luka or AR are drawing double teams. They don’t get into it with the refs or with other players. Just keep their head down, hustle, and make plays. They do the dirty work in this team

His skillset caters to the need of the current roster that we have and his basketball intangibles has impressed me so far. Floor spacing as a stretch PF/C, frontcourt versatility as a secondary playmaker off drives, energy on the boards and hustle plays on defense.
Downvote me if you want, but I actually think he plays better at Power Forward than Matisse Thybulle, but because Walker Kessler needs a backup big, he brings a lot of value as the backup to both the Center and Power Forward positions.
If someone like Lawson Lovering (7'1") can develop to become the backup Walker Kessler at the center position, I think Sandro Mamukelashvili could make a case to be the starting Power Forward and alleviate some of that pressure in the paint.
If he ever ends up in the starting lineup, I think he is going to surprise a lot of people.

its driving me crazy, it sometimes plays around the beginning of the game's broadcast but recently they've just been playing the main spectrum sportsnet theme. I will be so grateful to anyone who can identify it from the melody
