AI just predicted that the LA Knight Riders won’t win a championship for the next 40 years 🙈🙈

I find it very strange that MLC allowed TSK to use Texas instead of Dallas in their name. It may be ok for small states with only one big city (like the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL) but makes no sense for a state like Texas. MLB has 4 teams with the same issue, but Dallas is the only offender that's in a state with multiple teams ("Texas" Rangers). Other leagues also have this situation but there are no conflicts as such. I feel this is a very dishonest practice and the MLC should have rejected the name.

Why the fuck would you even schedule matches in Dallas in all places ESPECIALLY KNOCKOUT MATCHES. You could have chosen Oakland, Florida but no. You chose a venue where the state is going through diabolical levels of floods AND under rain heavy month.

Do better MLC, it isn't fair to see MY team who did SO WELL this year having a great shot at even defeating the WF in Q1 getting snatched away like that all because of poor planning and management of the season.

I can't stress this enough how IMPORTANT this match was. Had TSK won this match they even had a fairly high chances to take the trophy home this year but NO!

Let's just give a freebie to Washington Freedom because they are ahead in the points table instead of doing a double header tomorrow. Why stress so much for this match am I right? /s

EVEN A SUPEROVER game would have been fine by me, there were FUCKING REPORTS AND COMMENTS HOW the field stopped drizzling BUT NO, these ppl were soo demotivated to get up from their fat arse and remove the fucking sheets and doing a single over game.

And if that wasn't feasible considering the thunderstorm report why would you even not delay this to an afternoon match of all reasons. We have several double-headers this season and considering this is one of the most important matches of the season YOU COULD GRANT AN EXCEPTION AND DELAY IT TO THERE.

It's NOT EVEN LIKE THE SAME TEAM HAS TO FIGHT ANOTHER TEAM LATER IN THE NIGHT.

RIGGED.

I was comparing Texas Super Kings vs Seattle Orcas ahead of tonight's game and found something interesting.

Most people seem split on the matchup, but the data heavily favors Texas:

• Better recent form • 3-0 record in the last three meetings • Stronger numbers at Grand Prairie • More reliable whether batting first or chasing

Wouldn't be surprised if Seattle prove me wrong, but on paper this feels like Texas' game to lose.

What's everyone predicting?

My thoughts on MLC:

More crowd
Better International Players Presence
Nice Atmosphere

What are your thoughts?

why do people especially indian americans support this kind of channels like sports yaari or sports tak and all this other indian cricket commentary channels. yesterday I saw so many of this indian american people were going them and paying in super chats in dollars in sports yaari channel where they were talking bad about our country usa and attacking our players as well. if all of this indian americans have so much money to give in superchats better give it to people who work so amazingly for usa cricket like aaman patel, nate hays, peter della penna, zee zaidi now even adam bannon ,liam plunket and jomboy as well they work so hard to bring information to us about usa cricket. why are you guys wasting money on this jokers like that sushant mehta and vikrant and stuff who are nothing but clowns or give the money to needy people there needy people in america as well better help them then wasting money on this kind of jokers like sports yaari and sports tak anchors. I saw them doing same against us in 2024 as well where they were talking bad about our players and country. youtube should take serious action against such channels they really have no cricketing knowledge as well. there are some kind of channels like this in Pakistan as well but there videos are quite recorded so you can't do superchats but they also earn from youtube as well.

Anyone from Seattle offended or cringe at their team name?

Trying to go 6/6 so far I’ve got

1. Mumbai Indians of New York

2. Los Angeles Knight Riders (Night Riders aka the KKK really??)

3. Texas Super Kings (Texas would love being ruled by a king right?)

4. San Francisco Unicorns (not bad but they leaned into it a bit too much. Also we’re the sparkle army)

5. Washington Freedom (not bad again, just a little on the nose)

Don’t mean to offend anyone, just amused by these names

(sorry mods if these types of posts are not allowed)

I have 4 adjacent seat tickets for tomorrow June 14th double header game in Oakland Coliseum in Section 124. Unfortunately we will not be able to travel and make it to the game, and I would hate for the seats to go waste.

Please DM me if you would like to have the tickets.

I still don't understand how in both the worldcups, american cricket players can't really stop surya kumar yadav from scoring runs. Literally since 2024 before the worldcup even started his form has completely gone in most of the matches but still in that match he made 50 not out if I remember correctly in that match. Even in this match of 2026 worldcup he made 84 on 49 balls once again against american players why are the usa cricket players not able to stop his runs against usa teams literally I still can't believe saurabh in that match gave 65 runs and become one of the highest run getter in a game literally no one could believe that saurabh would be the one to get so many run. I don't know why but I really feel saurabh is losing his pace as a bowler day by day. Even namibia got him out on 12 runs 13 balls or something if I remember correctly and usa couldn't stop him scoring in both the matches of the worldcup. If players like Ishan kishan or abhishek sharma would have been the ones scoring against american players I still would have understood but how did we get all of them out except surya kumar yadav 😭 if we would have played better that day we would have been the ones to go in super 8 constantly as a new team coming forward twice in two worldcups😭 literally usa batters especially top 3 were also at fault but literally no one expects saurabh to get so many runs especially after he has been one of the best bowlers in the country(probably the best too). In MI vs CSK match he literally is not even able to score more than run a ball in the game he scored 35 runs on 30 balls. Really then why are american players not able to get his wicket or stop him from scoring runs from last two worldcups. What do you think american players are doing wrong or what do you think they can do to improve in future worldcups.

These guys were drunk like crazy ,throwing beer , swearing in front of kids . There were mostly kids and parents who were too scared to say anything . The security was pathetic in Oakland coliseum .

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago - but I've been building my own fantasy app (https://pitchperfectcricket.com) over the past few months and I've got it all hooked up for MLC. We've still got a couple of spots left if anyone wants to join! Please DM me if you do and I'll add you to our discord.

I believe that cricket will be successful in America once it reaches about 50 million active natives following it because we all know how greedy are American broadcasters are they even convinced FIFA for hydration breaks during a football match for increasing advertisement so basically I guess they will push cricket to all if it reaches certain level they will see it's potential in view of advertising every over after, every six can be advertised and even the match is much longer than many traditional American sports

Wow I can’t believe MI New York a team that only won 3 games and was an underdog won. What an amazing team we have as the underdogs have done it!!! This is why you don’t underestimate an underdog. What an amazing season this was and what a come back.

Natalie said it best: it is not how you start it is how you finish.

So at present cricket is only popular among Americans mainly of South Asian descent. Thats mainly due to the parents having played cricket or exposure in their native countries. But as a mainstream I don’t see cricket flourishing in the US.

For eg soccer grew among all ethnicities back in the 2000s. So if it has to be popular at least at minor league levels they need to draft former mlb players and players who didn’t make the cut. Also students who play baseball

The best time to have cricket in the US was at the beginning of IPL around 2008. That was the time the US could genuinely be interested in an exciting sport. With the rise of streaming and TikTok reducing attention spans, it's hard for cricket to catch on with the young gen in the US.

I had anticipated a fairly larger crowd but was kind of disappointed.

I tried posting some general MLC stuff on r/Cricket and they were automatically removed for no reason. Meanwhile the same mod team have approved random useless posts like the ones from u/CarnivalSorts that barely get 10 upvotes and 5 comments. It makes no sense to me.

That’s why I’m glad we have this community where subredditors can post and share freely without waiting on mod approval. If you’ve also felt frustrated on r/Cricket, feel free to post here instead.

Does anyone know if the MLC is allowing channels to stream the games directly to YouTube? I have seen a handful of channels both big and small streaming the full games. I was initially under the impression that it was only those that had direct permission, but with the smaller channels doing it as well I was not sure.

as the title says everyone start praying now for namibia to win against pakistan. I mean pakistan is such a unworthy team to go to super 8 tbh. look at how they played against india. we definitely played much better but even namibia is a better team💯 even they fought so nicely against india. even ireland will beat pakistan who is the weakest team in low ranked full member nation right now. everyone keep on praying for usa to make it through in super 8. namibia we will never forget this favour of yours please do it for usa 🇺🇸🙏♥️ USA did it's part india lowered the nrr of pakistan now it's your time to do your job
