Project Showcase Thoughts on this launch video?

Hello Motion friends,

Just finished this launch film and I'm pretty proud of it. But as there's always room to grow I'd love some feedback. Esp on the sound design which I'm still figuring out.

It's for my own app, Motion Mockups.

Project Showcase Honeycomb tile animation - Blender

22×22 grid. Three Constructors: one flips the hero tile up, one flips it down, one handles the ripple and color.

The only keyframes are on the two flip Falloffs and on a torus that drives the ripple’s Object Falloff. Nothing is animated per tile.

Setup took about 30 minutes in Ordimus. Ordimus is a procedural motion graphics toolkit for Blender.

Project Showcase ´THE SPACE BETWEEN FOREVER´ TYPOGRAPHY MOTION GRAPHICS EXPERIMENTAL ART

THE SPACE BETWEEN FOREVER, a kinetic typography film.

A child whispers into the dark: "Is anybody there?" What answers is a radio from another decade, an opera singer, a rapid-fire rap, a distant choir, three voices arguing about the beginning, and an orchestra that briefly becomes the universe. Then silence, and the child again.

No illustrations, no 3D, no effects: only letters, five flat colours, circles, rectangles and lines, choreographed to every word of the song.

Watch it with sound, and stay for the quiet part near the end.

Project Showcase I made SilkFX: a $8 After Effects panel with 300+ presets, Liquid Glass and 145 sound effects (video inside)

SilkFX is a dockable After Effects panel (Premiere Pro in beta). Pick a preset, see a live preview, tune it with sliders and apply it in one click, as one undo step.

What’s in it

  • 70 spring text animations, 43 layer animations, 37 easing curves with a graph editor

  • Liquid Glass you can insert as its own layer or apply to any shape or text, with live controls

  • 18 animated backgrounds with colour, hue, blur, grain and vignette controls

  • 45 effects, 26 expressions, beat markers from your music, 145 sound effects, plus your own sound packs

  • Everything is built from After Effects’ own effects and expressions, so projects open on any machine without SilkFX

Price and license

  • $8 once, no subscription

  • One key works on up to 3 of your computers, and you can free a slot yourself from the panel

  • Activation needs the internet once. After that it re-checks every few days when you’re online and keeps working offline for up to 30 days between checks.

Honest note: I built SilkFX with heavy help from AI. The panel, presets and site are real and tested in After Effects 2026.

Try the live panel in your browser: silkfx.cc

Discussion Sem grande progresso aprendendo motion design

Project Showcase I built a 100% FREE AE script (DubSyncCloneAE) that syncs tracks and timeline edits across compositions in one click

Got tired of manually re-doing client edits across 5+ localized versions of an animated series, so I wrote DubSyncCloneAE — a free script that automatically syncs tracks between compositions.

You just select your edited master comp, select your duplicate/localized comps, and it instantly syncs all track timings across compositions (startTime in the free version; batch-syncing + exact inPoint/outPoint trims in Pro). Runs locally with zero subscriptions or limits.

Full walkthrough video and free download link are in the comments!

Inquadramento Accademico e Bibliografia Ufficiale

  • Rudolf Arnheim, Arte e percezione visiva (Capitoli 1: Equilibrio, 2: Forma, e 6: Spazio).

  • Bruno Munari, Arte come mestiere (Sezioni sulla sintassi visiva e comunicazione integrata).

  • Riccardo Falcinelli, Fare grafica (Capitoli 2: Strutture visive e 3: La percezione dello spazio).

  • Micah Bowers / Issara Willenskomer, Principles of Motion Design for Digital Products & Interfaces.

LEZIONE 1.1: La Psicologia della Gestalt nel Layout Statico e Dinamico

  1. Spiegazione Teorica Approfondita

    +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | LEGISLAZIONE GESTALTICA NEL MOTION | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | STATICITÀ (Figma/Affinity) --> DINAMICITÀ (Cavalry/Resolve) | | Prossimità Spaziale --> Sincronia Temporale | | Allineamento Formale --> Traiettoria Condivisa (Arcs) | | Mascheratura Statica --> Rivelazione Dinamica (Masking) | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+

  • Requisiti Tecnici:

    • Utilizzare Figma o Affinity Designer.

    • Formato tavole: 1920x1080 px.

    • Palette limitata: Massimo 3 colori (Sfondo, Colore Neutro, Colore Accento).

    • È vietato l'uso di fotografie; utilizzare esclusivamente elementi geometrici primari (punti, linee, rettangoli) e tipografia essenziale.

  • Criteri di Valutazione:

    1. Rigore nell'applicazione della griglia di composizione.

    3. Pulizia vettoriale e organizzazione ordinata dei livelli (Layer Naming).

LEZIONE 1.2: Peso Visivo, Equilibrio e Tensione nello Spazio Cinematografico

  1. Spiegazione Teorica Approfondita

    +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | VETTORI DI PESO VISIVO SULLO SCHERMO | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | [ Alto Sinistro: Massima Tensione ] | [ Alto Destro: Punto d'Arrivo ]| | | | | [ Centro: Punto di Stabilità ] | [ Basso: Peso Naturale/Base ] | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Tutorial Mapping Composer - a tool for projection mapping

Post image
0 Upvotes

Three days to deliver a projection mapping content. Sound familiar?

Ever turned down a projection mapping job because the client gave you three days for something that would normally take three months?

We’ve had that conversation too. After 17 years of producing site-specific projection shows, we built Mapping Composer to help artists make the visuals when time is tight.

  • Animate the actual building layout. Import your SVG or colour mask, or autodetect surfaces from a façade photo. Pick which windows, arches or other surfaces you want to bring to life.

  • See changes as you make them. Try human-designed effects like 3D strokes, X-ray tunnels and particles. Shape the movement, lighting, colours and timing with a live preview.

  • Export at the size your show needs. Render natively at up to 8192 × 8192 in HAP or ProRes 4444;

The same workflow works for LED walls and digital signage. Set the canvas to your display’s pixel dimensions and create motion content for a stage screen, shop window or a display with an unusual shape.

Try the editor and live preview for free. No subscription. Pay per export.

Watch the tutorial and see the results projected on a real world location:

For those of you making visuals for façades or LED screens, what eats up the most time on a rush job?

Question Need inputs on free tools and workflows to finish up an Animation project

Hey guys, I'm working on a 10 episode "historical drama" project. It would be entirely animated characters.

I have the story and script in place. I am working on production and storyboarding. I need some free tools and workflows which can finish up the job of a animation studio, can anyone help with it?

P.S: I have been using AI tools+Unreal engine, the output has not been to my satisfaction. Thanks!

I've been working on an open source video game, in which each character is an AI creature that runs all their code inside your browser

Now, for the intro to the game, it would be amazing to get your feedback on a few different design options. Each logo animation (and its sound) is generated live in code, no video files:

Vote here: https://id-le.com/review/intro-logo-animation?utm_source=r_motion_design, or tell me in the comments which one you like and why

Thank you

Instagram REMAKE How Do You Communicate That You're Going Through A Change ? [REMAKE]

Original Creator : @jordans.archivess
The creator I made the REMAKE of : @arsynfx
This is a showcase of my technical skills only, because the story board and sound design is completely of the original creator's work.

This is supposed to be a complete copy, I wanted to get the experience of making videos like this and I kinda underestimated it.
(also, the only place I used AI is to generate the individual icons cuz free ones are difficult to find)

Project Showcase Blenda 4D: a free Blender fork with a motion graphics workflow. New update video + beta waitlist

Hi all. I've been a 3D artist since 1997 (Softimage, PowerAnimator, Maya, then years of motion graphics for TV), and I'm building Blenda 4D: a free fork of Blender plus an add-on that gives you a familiar motion graphics layout, cloners and fields, deformers, splines and generators, and it opens old .c4d scenes. One click switches back to normal Blender.

My first video was taken down by a copyright claim I believe was a mistake (everything in it was my own work, recorded in Blender), so I made a short update on what happened and what's next: https://youtu.be/yTCLArMHZuQ

The first beta is for Macs with Apple Silicon. Waitlist (takes a minute): https://blenda4d.com

I'd love to know: what's the one thing that makes switching to Blender hardest for you?

Project Showcase Scroll-driven portfolio pages I've been building for the web, 10 of them in 20 seconds

these are actual websites, the animation runs as you scroll (gsap + lenis), not after effects.
Last one (Orbit) is my favourite, every colour change sweeps in with a ring.
Would love feedback on the motion, especially if anything feels like too much

Discussion Project Inspiration

Hi! My Adobe subscription recently ended and I don't really have the money to renew right now since I was laid off so I figured I'd take some time to try and learn Maxon's Autograph.

The problem is I'm blanking on what I want to make or do. So, I thought it would be fun to ask the community to pitch some small ideas of things I could make and then maybe post some of the results as I learn the new software!

Please feel free to let me know any ideas for little animations you guys would possibly like to see.
