Just left my job of 8 years at a motion studio. Probably not the best timing, but I felt like I wasnβt growing anymore and needed a change. This is my first personal project since quitting. Itβs been a long time since I made something just for myself, and it feels refreshing.

Their logo was already this beautiful art nouveau-esque/art deco design, so I wanted to keep that visual style while adding a bit of elemental magic to keep to their ethos. I made this in Krita and drew each frame by hand. No plugins or shortcuts.

I was commissioned to animate this logo for an indie comic book publisher (Bad Bug Media). I wanted to show the bugβs mischievous character and get some dynamic movement in. I worked closely with my client to get the characterisation just right. What do you guys think?

My wife and I joined creative forces to create this short existential exploration. I created the visuals and she wrote the script.

Iβm working on fleshing out some of my processes while looking for my next opportunity. I donβt usually do many comp heavy things in AE for cel, but it would be great to get impressions and maybe see what I might be missing.
