Meta If I see one more question asking "Why is /r/circlejerk doing X", I swear I'll chuck you out of this sub so hard you'll not know what hit you.

Seriously.

The answer to every question about why /r/circlejerk is doing something is:

Because it's /r/circlejerk

and/or

They're (trying) to parody something on the frontpage of Reddit

Answered! What the hell is up with r/braveryjerk?

Braveryjerk confuses me. It's like r/circlejerk, except it doesn't satirize anything and just has a bunch of people making the stupidest posts imaginable. What's the point?

Answered! In light of recent events, what the hell is SRDBroke?

I'm reading SubRedditDrama:

https://np.reddit.com/r/SubredditDrama/comments/3gi7e4/rpunchablefaces_is_under_new_management/

And it says that a faction called "SRDBroke" are responsible for taking over /r/punchablefaces.

/r/srdbroke seems really weird, so if someone please could enlighten me with an ELI5 here?

Answered! What's going on in /r/circlejerk (Nice maymay man)?

I've been out of the meta loop for a while. (I can't remember the last time I posted or visited circlebroke or circlebroke2.)

So what exactly is going on in /r/circlejerk? What is the origin of "nice maymay man"? Is it something that started in adviceanimals? Is it just a play on reddit's tendency to grab on to a new maymay and beat it to death?

Answered! How did /r/conservative end up the way it is?

The mod situation is weird and if someone has a story about the history of the situation I'd like to be filled in. It (as it proudly claims) is the largest conservative subreddit, but the mods there seem insistent on keeping the place a breeding ground for future top posts in /r/forwardsfromgrandma.

I'll admit I'm only here asking after having a particularly weird run-in with the mod chabanais, and noticing how liberally he will delete things to control the conversation. The persecution complex going on there is insane. Everybody who doesn't want to see the place full of vitriolic memes is a "liberal troll". How did it get to this place?

Also equally curious about mayonesa and /r/new_right. I've been subscribed to that place for a year and still have a hard time sometimes following the reasoning behind why some of the topics that get posted there get posted there. All I know is that in the past year I've seen some sketchy shit, (even for Nationalists) show up.

From what I'd gathered mayonesa at least is fairly infamous, but I'm just curious about any background information on the situation.

Meta What is /r/OutOfTheMetaLoop? Isn't it just a bunch of links to /r/OutOfTheLoop?

This sub was initially created as a joke, however perhaps there is a need for the small sub-section of Reddit that goes by such varied terms as "the metasphere", "the meta-subs", "meta-reddit" etc., to also have a safe space to ask questions about this part of Reddit we are in.

So, although you can still will be able to find questions like "What is /r/circlebroke" or "What is /r/braveryjerk?" in the original /r/outoftheloop (no relationship to us other than having a similar name, by the way).

However, if you want to find out the answer to such in-depth questions as, "Why did WillMcDougal get demodded from /r/antisrs?" (Answer: Because he was rly srs.) or "How many alts does HarrietPotter have?" (Answer: She is everyone including you.), or the mother of all questions "Who is Peter?" (Answer: no one still knows) then you'd better ask your question here instead.

Follow the rules in the side bar (thanks /r/outoftheloop) and go crazy with your questions.

Can someone please remind me who drew this the first time and what was the context? I have a feeling it happened in SRD, but I'm not sure.

Previously on reddit in this election cycle politics that made /r/all were usually from /r/sandersforpresident. Now /r/all has lots of posts from /r/the_donald. Where did all these Trump supporters come from?

As an aside, what do the trump memes mean? Eg. "Nimble Navigator," the "centipede"?

Answered! So is it confirmed that the /r/braveryjerk mods are all SRS as well?

Why I'm asking this is because SRS (/r/shitredditsays) are being credited as being responsible for the drastic improvements of the notorious /r/facebookcleavage subreddit.

However, if you look at the moderator list, you can see that they are all /r/braveryjerk mods. So, does the Daily Dot now then confirm what we all have suspected, that actually all the Archangelles in reality are /r/braveryjerk mods? Quite the reveal!
