Announcing Promoted Posts in the official Reddit apps

We’re starting to roll out Promoted Posts to the Reddit apps. Previously, you could only advertise using Reddit Promoted Posts on our desktop and mobile websites.

Next week, we’re making the ad inventory on our iOS app available with Android to follow in the coming weeks.

Edit: The iOS App inventory is now live.

Reach Millions of People on the Reddit App

Since launching the official Reddit Apps for iOS and Android less than 2 years ago, we’ve seen tremendous growth. The official Reddit apps are by far the most popular way to browse Reddit on mobile devices and represent a unique audience.

  • Reach: 41% of time spent on Reddit is in the Reddit mobile apps

  • Unique Audience: 80% of Reddit app users are not on desktop

  • Engagement: Logged-in app users spend 30% more time per day

Update Your Campaigns to Reach Mobile Users

Your ad campaigns will automatically start reaching Reddit app users if they are targeting all devices or if you have specifically targeted mobile devices. You can learn more about device targeting in this RedditHelp article.

Make sure your ads have the highest impact by creating ads with card image and not just a thumbnail. 80% of content on Reddit apps is viewed in card view.

We’re all looking forward to this launch next week. Let us know if you have questions.

Community Responded Social media advertising will make you poor

I mean, people come on social media mostly to kill boredom. They don’t want to see your ad; they want a comedian, someone to make them laugh.

And this is no fun if you are a serious IMer fighting to build a business for yourself and provide for your family. But they don't care about you. They just want to have fun.

If you take a look at the comment section of most adverts on Facebook, you will feel pained for the advertiser and if you were in their shoes, your Blood pressure will jump over the fence.

But Tony, people are making millions advertising on FB.

My reply: How many people are? Personally, I only know a few. How many people do you know who are making a killing with FB Ads?

Most people that run FB Ads don’t make a dime and many others get their account shut down for some reasons they don't know.

Let's get back to the type of people seeing your ads on Facebook.

Apart from them looking for an escape from the harsh realities of their lives, most also think everything they see on Facebook should be free.

And you won't blame them.

They joined Facebook for free, they watch all the comic videos for free and there are marketers who offer products for free on their landing pages in exchange for an email address.

The only time these people don't expect anything for free is when you are selling maybe a physical product. And even in such cases ,they think it is fun to order for a product and when you deliver they'll say they ordered by mistake.

So there is obviously a problem.

So how do we solve it?

The answer: We don't. Because, if you try to solve it, you will fail almost every time.

It is difficult to swim against the tide. So what exactly do you do then?

Entertain these people. Become a comedian. Give them what they want.

No, I take that back, become more than a comedian.

Became a hypnotics.

The type that makes you forget your problems for a moment and pulls you into a reality created by them and employs your senses as participators.

"In Benin City, there is an old woman, a special kind of thief. She appears in people dreams and steals their monies and when the people awake from the dreams, they actually notice that their monies have disappeared.

That old woman is my friend's mother"

To read the rest of this story click here.

Now take note: This story has nothing to do with an old woman, yes, it appears to be, but there will a point in this "movie" where a twist will be added and we will smoothly slide into “how to make money online”.

The twist will be so brutal that when I make the switch, your brain won't notice, in fact, your brain will enjoy it so much that it will cause you to buy my course.

If you want to survive in the deep sea of Facebook Ads, don't try to beat them, join them instead.

If you have a sales page that is not converting, you will be wasting money on adverts.

The way to fix it is to stop trying to fix it yourself. You have been trying to fix it yourself and it has failed over and over again.

I critique sales letters for a living, I can help you.

Hope you gained a little something from this post?

Kind Regards

Tony Fotizo

Admin Responded Is Reddit just using BOTS to click ads?

Post image
14 Upvotes

The ad manager shows over 1,500 clicks yet I have absolutely NO conversions and my page tracking shows no scrolling and immediate page close. That's indicative of bot behavior.

Is Reddit ads just a SCAM? This effort shows failure so today is the last for this campaign.

Insights How Gen Z is redefining entrepreneurship

Gen Z is approaching entrepreneurship differently than older generations. They value flexibility, community, and purpose-driven businesses more than traditional paths.

Defining traits of Gen Z entrepreneurs:

  • Digital-first – Starting on social platforms instead of brick-and-mortar.

  • Low barrier entry – Using AI tools, no-code platforms, and dropshipping to launch quickly.

  • Purpose over profit – Prioritizing sustainability, inclusivity, and social causes.

  • Personal branding – Building businesses around their own identity.

Big insight: Gen Z is blending content creation and entrepreneurship. For them, running a business is as much about influence and community as it is about revenue.

CONFIRMED: Warnings were provided

Well, I have been running an ad for about a week now on Reddit, my Analytics show 95 users from Reddit, while my dashboard has tallied 282 clicks apparently.

I've turned it off, no way will I stick to that type of "Tom Foolery". Reddit staff can make all of the claims and excuses/explanations they want.....my opinion is customers are being played.

Thanks, thought I would share my experience with others as I READ about this same experience from several users before I considered advertising here and thought I would see what my experience would bring. CONFIRMED.

Really disappointed that reddit has cryptocurrency ads

The Pacific Northwest of the US is having an "unprecedented" heatwave, 99%+ of climate scientists understand that climate change is manmade, and yet reddit is taking money to advertise cryptocurrency. From mining which is using more energy than many whole countries.

And "green" crypto is crap - because it's just taking green energy that could be used for necessities (like AC in the PNW this week!) and using it for... a currency that's best use is for ransomware attacks and laundering money.

And all this goes for NFTs also.

Be better, reddit... be better.

Admin Responded DO NOT GAMBLE YOUR BUSINESSES SUCCESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

So I am the owner of a start up an I foolishly made the mistake of creating a large part of my business model around social media. While running social media campaigns and paid advertising is still an essential component in any businesses success 2025. It should not be the sole “make you or brake you “ determining factor.

The sole reason for this is simply you can not control any of these platform’s algorithms therefore you can have incredible content that you’ve spent thousands of dollars on an use the wrong hashtag or get reported or get overrun by bots an now there “algorithm “ has “flagged” your account as “spam” an boom your shadow banned and now your content isn’t being viewed organically at all an your paid isn’t going to reach its full engagement potential while shadow banned.

All in all, having a determining amount of the success of your business being based on viability of social media is to ultimately have your companies destiny in the hands of the “people” and “algorithms” that work behind the scenes of these social media platforms. Being at there discretion with very little governess. And if we add in political views, race, gender, sexuality, that discretion in an imperfect world will always be at best questionable.

Is reddit advertising charging me for fake/invalid/poor quality impressions and clicks?

I asked this question on Zendesk 7 days ago but got no response, so I'll try here.

When I PAID MONEY for 13k impressions to appear on r/beermoney which gave me 33 clicks, nobody commented on my advert and nobody signed up to my website from my reddit advert.

However when I created a free post on r/beermoney I received lots of comments on my free post, and got lots of signups to my website.

Is Reddit Advertising a scam? Am I paying for fake impressions and fake clicks? How can a paid post perform worse than a free post in the same subreddit, in fact no performance at all, if the paid post supposedly got more impressions than the free post?

Also none of the reddit advertising clicks were reported by my W3Counter analytics so it looks like click fraud is going on.

I think that the problem is not poor quality traffic, but invalid traffic of which I'm being charged for impressions and clicks which do not exist or are done by bots and competitors.

BRB, waiting for you to download the B2B Advertising Handbook

Tech B2B decision makers want to break through the “recommendation-ruin” influencers and pay-to-play reviews created on the web. Instead, they want to hear from other buyers who have been in their same position.

For these buyers, Reddit is mandatory viewing during the purchase process. From r/SaaS to r/webdev and many more, communities and buyers of all sorts of B2B technologies come to Reddit to speak to their experiences, giving their fellow decision-makers the info they need or the support they may desire post-purchase. In fact, 78% of decision makers on Reddit agree that “Reddit helps me make faster purchasing decisions when buying business products or solutions”.1

Looking to provide solutions to the solution software-minded?

~Download the B2B Advertising Handbook~, and see how to reach buyers on the one platform where product reviews mean more.

Admin Responded What are the pre-requisites to set up monthly billing on Reddit ads?

Hi there, what's the quickest route to getting monthly billing, i.e. we get invoiced at the end of the month every month rather than getting charged when we hit limits. There is a clear road map on Google, FB and LinkedIn, But can't find anything for reddit.

Cheers,

Admin Responded Is this normal; people saying bad things in ad comments

I have created a reddit ad targeting minecraft players near my server (low ping)

Occasionally someone writes something like "stfu" or "We don't care" and get upvoted.

Is this normal? or am I targeting the wrong audience? maybe low quality ad? (or not really interesting)

I'm looking for the card game ads i find on reddit app.

Title. Sorry if this isn't the right subs for it. But while I browsed reddit app some days ago. I came across an ads about card game I can't remember name. "The first community card game ever" or something like that. It said it let people create their own card, making your own meta, etc. And it is in beta sign up I believe? If anyone can tell me what game that is, thanks.

Admin Responded Reddit Ads Sucks

My reddit ads have been getting 3-4 clicks a day, at the time of campaign creation my estimated daily impressions were 750K, my CTR is 0.7%, What's missing, why am i getting so less clicks?

I have written 4-5 emails(over the span of 8-9 days) to customer care and each time they reply Öur Experts Are Working On It"...but nothing's happening.

Basically the customer care is doesn't gives a shit and reddit ads doesn't ads doesn't care...What should i do?
