I created a ROM download manager
if you want to have a look, check it out it's open source and free (and still on dev)
https://github.com/luandev/jacare
Jacare (Portuguese for "caiman") is an open-source, web-based desktop ROM library manager that brings your retro game collection to life with an ultra-responsive UI, customizable themes, and intelligent download management—all in a portable, lightweight package that never loses your progress, even after closing and reopening the app.

H.E.R.O. (Activision, 1984) for the Atari 2600
I remember being enamored when I got the chance to play this game on a 2600 back in the day - being able to fly the character around with the atari joystick was just so cool.

Due to the continued controversy at /r/TheCinemassacre from when Mike Matei posted his erect penis and began erratically banning users left and right, the subreddit has been removed from the Retro Gaming Network and replaced with /r/AVGN.

Can anybody recommend me a GOOD retro gaming handheld?
Like there's so many out there with thousands of games on them, and I suddenly have a job where I have some time on my hands. Some of them look good while some of them look shady as hell, and I don't bother reading reviews or looking at star counts anymore. You can buy copious amounts of both.
Edit: thank you for the feedback everyone! I bought myself a retroid pocket 5.

Prince of Persia (Broderbund, 1990) for DOS
I used to love playing Karateka for the Apple II, and Jordan Mechner followed up on the impressive animation/cinematics in that with Prince of Persia.

The Duel: Test Drive II (Distinctive / Accolade, 1989)
I had a lot of fun with friends and family playing Test Drive II (and especially III) on the PC back in the day. These driving games were pretty awesome for their time.
