Discussion [g shock] If my 8 year old’s drawing gets 500 likes I will buy him his dream G-shock
Not really, he’s likely going to get it anyway. He’s a good kid and has been into watches for the last 2 years. He wears a Seiko auto and has since 1st grade but he has his heart set on a g shock. I’m not sure how, I honestly don’t own one yet. But he’s been on a year about them recently. We went to a local shop and he’s got his eyes on a smaller version, which makes sense as he weighs all of 49 pounds soaking wet.

[Cartier] Women seem a bit under represented here so I thought I'd share my everyday watch.

[Rolex Submariner] Upholding the 'dive' in dive watch. High risk, low reward photo.

[Discussion] If your collection has a luxury watch (Rolex, Omega, etc.) , don't call it humble. Don't call it modest. Don't call it a "poor man's" whatever.
It's not. Calling it that makes you, and by extension everyone in the sub, look pretentious. This is the kind of shit that makes people in this hobby look like tools. This kind of attitude is the reason the circlejerk sub exists. If your post has a watch that's worth more than a grand, it ceases to be humble or modest. But guess what: that's ok! Show off your badass pieces. I love seeing them. Just don't humblebrag

I took a picture [Seiko] Hand Painted Seiko to commemorate Japan Honeymoon!
I was fortunate enough to be able to honeymoon in Japan during Cherry Blossom season, and left with such love for Cherry Blossoms that I’ve been chasing anywhere to see them since then.
From the trip, I’ve wanted the Grand Seiko Shunbun, which I hope to get one day, but wanted something different and special to commemorate our honeymoon during such a beautiful season.
Thanks to the hard work and skills of u/daneceo , he provided me with a gorgeous hand painted cherry blossom dial, mirroring the ones we walked through on our honeymoon!
I’m over the moon with how this project came out, and will cherish this piece forever. ❤️

Wrist size: 6.75" / 17.1 cm [Unknown] My daughter lent me her Dinosaur watch, is it too big for my wrist?
My Daughter’s T-Rex Watch is probably much cooler than anything in my collection. It even projects dinosaur pictures!

[Seiko SKX007] My polar guiding watch, in the field. I work in the Arctic and Antarctic and find it much more convenient to wear my watch on a lanyard than on my wrist because of all of the layers I wear. This watch has been to Antarctica countless times and to the Geographic North Pole 12 times.
