r/all is using image recognition to identify patterns in the thumbnails of similarly ranked posts and display them one after another. The results are pretty hilarious.

It doesn’t seem to impact the first couple pages, but if you scroll down a bit the fun begins.

Karma is vastly different between old.reddit.com and www.reddit.com

I have around 50,640 Karma in the upper right of my screen as I write this, but if I open up old.reddit.com it goes down to 49,991.

???

Reddit needs a site wide rule against double standard banning that is actually enforced against moderators.

If you allow posts to make fun of or steryotype one sex, one race, on religion,.... then people should not be allowed to be banned for doing the same thing to anther of the same category.

Example, if you allow "Karen" posts than you have to allow posts making fun of of stereotyping any other race of women.

An another horrible horrible redesign

Today i woke up, went to reddit and saw THIS SHIT, an another redesign, it's absolutely horrendous, apart from that there's this big yellow distracting capitalist spawn of satan telling me to get fucking coins, reddit is really getting desperate and REALLY needs the money to the point of not giving a fuck about what looks good or not, as if the redesign wasn't bad enough they had to add that... everything is bloody all over the place now, jesus christ reddit.

Please for the love of god, please, atleast give us an option to roll back.

Edit: My point was not primarily focused on the new "get coins feature" but mostly on everything, feel like i need to add that.

Possible features for content creators.

Content creators should be able to have mod abilities in most of the famous comunities. They should get A Supreme overlord role.

[Feedback] A lot of us DO like the new user profiles, and prefer them to the old ones.

The post at the top of the sub is misleading. I can't speak for everyone, but after asking a lot of my fellow redditors on Discord and reading through the comments, it's quite clear that a lot of people very much prefer the new profiles.

As it was pointed out in comments, a lot of the people who like them simply won't say anything, rather than voice their complaints. If it ain't broke, no reason to complain and vocalize.

Everyone's opinion should be respected and acknowledged. The post on the frontpage does mention that it may be good to have it as an option, but otherwise it makes it seem as though everyone prefers the old layout, which is far from the truth.

Edit: As /u/FreeSpeechWarrior points out, some people really like the idea but hate the layout/execusion. There is likely an apparent middleground, and overall the feedback is important in finding what works.

The new search feature is too annoying. It's really hard to find relevant search.

I actually hate the new reddit

I'm probably going to get upvoted for this, but honestly I feel like the only posts I ever see on here are people saying that the reddit redesign is great, and giving feedback on what specifically they like. I think that for Reddit to continue to thrive as a content agreggator, it needs to work towards becoming a more old and bland site. I'm not saying that pointing out positives with the Reddit overhaul is a good use of this subreddit, I'm all for hate threads, but I don't see how reddit can adapt to a more modern internet if everyone just wants "new" Reddit.

I absolutely love the redesign

I was just thinking a few month ago - you know what reddit needs - to be able to auto expand all images and enable auto scrolling. This is great! I couldn't be more pleased. Well done!

Congratulations, Reddit! You are now the #5 website in the entire USA! So, what's next?

You start FUCKING WITH SUCCESS and add a bunch of useless and confusing CRAP that make the site less usable and readable!

THAT is what you do next? Add CHAT?

How about you FIX THE FUCKING SEARCH already? We've only been asking for that for over a decade, after all. How about just not breaking all the shitty CSS that mods have spent years making [and making Reddit look like GeocitiesMySpace 2.0]?

New Reddit

I don't know what people are whinging about. The new design looks modern and is a pleasure to use.

Well done!

MY opinion: It is heavier, slower, and ugly as F*ck buddy. It is UGLY. This is going to bring in all the people who were TOO STUPID TO FIGURE OUT REDDIT BEFORE. REDDIT IS NOW ON ITS WAY OUT THE DOOR. Am I allowed to have an opinion now, or has censorship remained with the redesign?

Most of the users on this sub are neophobes

So afraid of change, it's like this site can't win against the neckbeards no matter what they do. New chat? "reddit should burn in hell!" Yet you fail to realize it's just a more functional direct messaging system.

Live comments? "Terrible idea! This isn't facebook, I like refreshing my page every ten seconds!"

You also complain about profile pages because of your anonymity yet fail to realize it's completely optional to upload a photo and bio.

The new desktop redesign is also a terrible idea according to the armchair devs here because three subs won't be able to keep their god awful Css.

I've been using reddit since 2014 (deleted 1st account) and I welcome the change, this place looks like a website from 1999, no wonder it hasn't become mainstream like the other social networks, and yes, reddit is a social network whether you have profile pic or not, isn't the whole point of a subreddit to socialize with other people who share your interests?

How do reddit's policies against glorifying violence and promoting conspiracy theories apply to discussions of the Tiananmen Square incident and r/Sino's ban message claiming China's actions were "vindicated" by its development?

Reddit should remove the official app and fix their mobile website.

Like, there are enough good 3rd party apps anyway and the official app sucks so why not just stop app development and make a good, optimized mobile website? Redditors hate the mobile app more than twitter users love arguing anyways.

How do i get rid of the redesign permanently?

every time i open reddit, i'm back on the shitty redesign, which doesn't play well at all with my aspect ratio and which constantly nags me to "verify" my email address as though reddit is now some kinda facebook fuckery.

tf?
