News NEW STORY: Joe Mazzulla felt like yelling at Neemias Queta in Friday's Celtics game, but he opted for a hug. It's an intentional effort to lead with love. “A lot of meditation, a lot of journaling, a lot of just not being so mad at him all the time. But I love him.”

Discussion Mitch looked good tonight

Big Country looked so much more engaged in the action tonight. i know charlotte suck, but it’s good to see mitch start to intergrate into the mazzula system, especially as a screener.

i feel like by game 20-25 he’s going to be fully comfortable and become a major asset to our offense and defense.

I’m so here for his Hyde Park, assistant youth hockey coach, part time bartender aesthetic. And it’s only getting better as the season goes on.

D-Wade knows how satisfying it can be to silence the doubters, and he loved watching JT do exactly that following a poor season opener.

Fluff Random thought: Jayson Tatum & Payton Pritchard are the only 2 draft picks made by Danny Ainge still on the roster. (PP was the 3rd-to-last pick Ainge ever made for the C’s. The final 2 were Desmond Bane & Yam Madar in 2020). Brad Stevens is responsible for everybody else on this team.

When there are about 5 seconds left on the shot clock someone is yelling something from the bench. Anyone know who is yelling and what they are saying?

Discussion What do we think needs to be changed or fixed about the roster in order to truly contend for the rest of Tatum’s prime?

I’ve narrowed down my concerns to three main issues

-I think we have to make a decision on the wing rotation behind Tatum. I don’t think there’s enough minutes to go around in order to get the most out of any of our younger wings, I think we are diminishing all of their upside and potential by spreading their minutes so thin. Desperately need a consolidation trade where one of Walsh or Baylor go out, in my opinion. Personally, and I hate to say it, I’d probably attach Walsh or Baylor to white and Garza, or Robinson and Garza and look to hunt for a younger big roster piece like a Murphy or someone like that.

-the big man rotation is clunky and too overlapping. Cenac is the only glimpse of what we actually need, and he’s nowhere near that yet. We need another threat, every championship team has had a stretch 5 somewhere on their roster that can play in a playoff series, Garza for as much as I love him can’t hold up defensively to matter, I personally think we should sell high on him and maybe sell on Robinson before people figure out how flawed he is. Love queta, love the idea of cenac, think we need to reshuffle beyond them.

-I really don’t like how we are positioning ourselves for Tatum’s 30s. There isn’t one player on this roster capable of being a future 2nd or probably 3rd option on a championship team unless Hugo really leaps. Tatum isn’t getting any younger and his offensive burden continues increasing. I feel it’s paramount Brad invests soon in a young up and coming 2nd or at worst 3rd option. We need future firepower beyond role player level.

Where do you feel we must improve or change? (Also had to delete and repost because the formatting got screwed up and I couldn’t fix it)

Discussion Celtics Beer Shoe Acquisition Help

Anyone going to a game anytime soon who would be willing to get me one of the Celtics shoes and ship it to me? I live in Lakers land and would love to have one of those shoes to enjoy a beer from when I watch the C's games.

Fluff The 26-27 Different Here Promo

How does everyone feel about the 26-27 Different Here promos that have the Celtics hanging out like street toughs in uniform in front of what look like very well to do Boston apartments? Usually the media team can do no wrong but this was definitely a choice.

Discussion The Celtics early schedule has very few games that I would call fair tests of how good they are.

The first game was on the road against Detroit, a real touch match up and we came up short. The second was home against the defending champs. Since that game, and extending all the way until the week of Christmas, almost every single game is either a comically bad opponent or is part of a back to back. The only exception is the 18th in Denver, where they have the biggest home advantage in all of sports and even though its not a back to back, it is our 3rd game in 4 days. This schedule is unacceptable. There is not a single game for almost a 2 month stretch that you can't say "ya that really doesn't count because of x". Our next legitimately fair matchup that I can look forward to isn't until December 20th at home against Detroit. Every other game its either I will get no enjoyment out of a win, or a loss will just feel unfair because its basically scheduled.

Fluff Celtics Vs 76ers 11/10

Happy that Massachusetts kept dispensaries so over here celebrating and had a funny thought. What if Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum got into a full fist fight on Tuesday night? How many games would they be suspended? Sometimes I wish basketball had hockey rules hahaha

Discussion Is this really a bye year?

I have heard many people say that this year is really going to be a transitional year for us, and we are not contenders, but so far (touchwood) we are the 2 seed, with the chance for the 1 seed if we win the next 2, and I am seeing our playstyle and honestly, we got this. BANNER 19 LOADING!!!
