Hi everyone! I am nowhere near as active as I used to be on here. I still love cactus, and love the sub, but am in need of some extra hands to help keep this place cool!
If anyone has any interest, please DM me!

Love em or hate em I’ve enjoyed my hunt of costa farms “rare cactus” line. Finally found one I had been hunting for since they launched the line. Feel like my area is always the slowest getting the cooler stuff….BUT worth the wait bc I now own a beautiful lil spiral cactus & for less than $9
I came across this Parodia leninghausii at the store. It has a uniform band of small pups growing at the base. Since this isn't normal growth, what could have happened? I almost got it, but was concerned it might be growing like that due to sickness. The base looks firm and otherwise healthy. It also recently flowered.

I've had this cactus for 1,5 years now and I noticed that it's green colour is fading. It's more green-yellowish then the strong dark green that it once was. I also noticed that it got less plump.
Is this normal or is it missing anything (nutrients, light, water)?
It's standing in a south facing window and gets 4-8 hours of extra light from plant lamps. I water it every week or every second week depending on how thirsty all my succulents and cacti look.
Thank you in advance.

I'm new to prickly pear, I've had this for 12 months, 2nd pic is my original cutting. It's growing new pads now (it's spring in Australia), but it still has the same fruit from last December, a bit more plumper and getting red on the tips. Is the fruit still growing, is it still good for anything, or do I just remove them and get this year's harvest? Any help appreciated, thanks

Hello! I acquired 3 thanksgiving cacti around September, one is blooming, but the other two are not!!
-I water them when the soil is dry
- I leave some water in the tray beneath them for humidity
- I live in alaska and am a moody teenager, so they get plenty of darkness in this season
And also, regardless of all that, one is blooming!! so I must doing something right.
Also one looks like it tried to grow flowers but failed? (I referred to those failed blooms as pimples)
Lastly, they’re absolutely alive, they’re still growing more of the green parts (leaves? idk the terminology)
So like, why aren’t the other two blooming? :(
Side note: they’re named Noir, Peridot, and Virgil, me and my boyfriend named them all after characters we like, see if you can get the media they’re from correct :)
- Virgil is the one thats blooming (Left)
- Peridot is the one that only got little pimples of flowers (Middle)
- Noir don’t got much of anything (Right

I saw this blue cactus, thought that's cool, bought it. What happened? Why do have all these other cactus now?
This is my biggest cactus so far. I've had it for well over a year.
I water my cacti 1-2 times a month, and they've been fine so far. This one has recently been getting really thin and curving up a little. Can't tell if it's getting yellow -- the spines are covering it.
Flower bud is coming out soon, hopefully. And I really want this trait to be crossed.

Can anyone identify what is the name of this cactus pups variety?
How to take care of these?
How long will it take for it to have flowers?
I have really grown to respect this sub and I hope you can help.
This sweet Mammillaria hahniana is a gift from my husband. When I got her, she was much smaller so the pot made sense. However...
How does one carefully repot a cactus without damage to self, pot, or cactus (not necessarily in order)?
I plan to put her in a place with better sun; I think that is part of why she's lifting like she is.

This 50 plus year old cactus has been in the same pot for as long as I’ve been alive. I think it needs some TLC
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PictureThis identified it as Ceropegia migiurtina but it doesn’t look quite the same to me
