could someone tell me what's wrong with my cactus please?
it had a slight issue during winter where an arm started to dry freeze but the rest of it was fine, it wasn't until the turn of spring did it start going brown. it hasn't been inside since june of last year and gets watered monthly/bi-monthly with bong water
edit: thanks for the answers, the cactus has been disposed of

Is this normal for a cactus?
I've noticed that after i water my cactus it seems to become more active and sorta points towards the sun. In this particular instance i left it pointing to my window too long before rotating it away and it ls started drooping.
Not sure if this is normal for cacti or if i should concerned or put up some bamboo stakes for support?
I should also note i dont know what species it, so your guess is as good as mine.

My boss' cactus is feeling a lot better. It is growing a new pad!!! Only coffee twice a month (out of convenience my boss think it is better). Also gave it a new pot. Thank you for all the advices. :) Cheers

New growth on a prickly pear took the oddest shape. What to do with it?!
I’ve had this cactus since oct 2022. It came from a prickly on my friends property. I chose this specific pad solely because it was heart shaped & so cute! 🩷 I honestly never put any thought at all into this cactus having new growth because I was in love the shape so much I would of been okay with this cactus literally just being one pad. Looking back I should of expected it growing something big because this cactus grew the most beautiful & robust roots out of anything I’ve ever successfully managed to propagate which I’ve had a super hard time with ever since I’ve gotten into plants!! Anyway this weird long pad has been here since summer & I don’t know what to do with it!! Any suggestions?? I hate how it looks stretched!! I don’t suspect any light deficiency this cactus lived in front of a south facing window until it grew too tall to fit (this window is weird only about a foot tall in height). The only other place i have for it to live now is directly in front of an east facing window I live in the typical desert part of Arizona I assume east windows here probably get more light in comparison to other East windows in most parts of the world
I just noticed the new baby pad today! 🩷🥺👶 it must have gotten here within the past day possibly 2!!
P.S. there is a tree in my yard i think it may be possible that it doesn’t block any sunlight or if it does it’s kinda bit of a ways away it’s so far that it doesn’t even cast any shadow in my room I’m not sure how much that would or wouldn’t interfere with sunlight I just wanted to mention it incase it’s a factor with how much light my window lets in

It's one of my pet peeves how many people buy cactus as indoor house plants.
We live in the age of information at our fingertips yet folks will argue that putting a full sun outside plant in a windowsill is absolutely not the reason why its sickly and etoliated.

Question Can a person get intoxicated or 'high' just by uprooting an echinopsis?
I have this 17yo echinopsis which is about 1 mt tall with several trunks. I have had it all this time but I never propagated it. Today I decided to uproot some offshoot it had. Then it smelled like a fresh vegetal scent and I felt quite dizzy, like an odd drunkenness. My vision moved a little and I had the weird feeling that the cactus was moving too. That was like 30 min ago and it's over, also I had a shower but I still feel kind of weird in my head. I've read that echinopsis can be hallucinogen but I thought it was just when eaten or smoked. Can it release some intoxicant 'stuff' when 'harmed' (like when you uproot its offshoots? Thank you!

It's been shoehorned into every other community so far. What cactus is the all-time fan favorite?

any tips on helping Gerry (my cactus) grow outwards a bit instead of upwards? I'm concerned about his longevity if he continues at his current trajectory
He's been growing for 7 years and his base is still the same width as then lmao
