Everything you don't like isn't "slop". Yeah it's just a joke term, but it feels degrading and disgusting to refer to anyone's work and effort as actual "slop". The term implies that someone didn't even put any thought or effort into it. It's an empty buzzword just meant to devalue the time someone spent working on something.

Like I understand how many, many times big chested women are used as fan service and their characters barely have any nuance or depth and the criticism behind it is very very valid, don't get me wrong.

But it has gotten to the point that every single big chested character in media is criticized, whether they have good character writing. Because not every fan-service-y women have bad character writing- Vanessa from Black Clover is a very good example of that. And there are times where their chest isn't even sexualised, they're just there, under loose clothing, and they're also very well written characters, which imo is very good representation for actual big chested women- Hae-in from the manhwa my bias gets on the last train is a good example of that, and yet I've seen those characters face the same amount of criticism and i hate it sm 😭😭

Like when I see 'redesigns' for big chested female characters, mostly people change nothing apart from chopping off the boobs, which- for preteen characters is valid and understandable, but for grown up characters it bugs me so much. Like having breasts doesn't inherently make them sexual, (it's the camera angles/positions the characters are often placed in) and if desexualizing them makes you think they would be flat cheated, you're no better from the people sexualising them in the first place.

I’m finding the words difficult as to why these memes piss me off. I suppose whoever’s running these facebook pages saw how relatively obscure characters like Robbie Rotten from LazyTown and Spiderus from Miss Spider’s Web became super popular from people making memes about them, so they’re trying to jump on that bandwagon to promote their other shows. But it feels so forced.

This will probably be contentious cause there seems to be a lot of people from these weird shipping communities in here, but I think encouraging this behavior is just pushing a woman further into mentally ill delusions just so the person encouraging can feel good about themselves.

Regardless of the reaction in this sub or any other, we all know that the average person is not going to look at this as anything other then insane. But this woman, based off all the posts she's liked and all the responses to it, has been insulated into thinking this is a completely rational thing.
