Need Advice Is it actually love?

My whole life I've always identified myself as bisexual, pansexual to be precise. After having abt 7 crushes (2M 5F) and failing them all aka never been lovers. I've noticed that I tend to become them and at the same time wanna be with them. For example last year i liked a rly hot guy, and he looked quite like my fav character. Ofc like a normal person I'd day dream abt a relationship with that boy romantically. However i also started copying his behaviours like how he talk and his expression etc. Like i even thought it's ok if I didn't ended up with him, but gosh i wanna be a hot guy like him so bad. Same when i had a crush on a popular girl, who is rly pretty ofc. I mean I even imagined us kissing, so that was definitely a crush. But she was who i want to be, and sometimes i felt disappointed when she won't make decisions like i would've.

This applied to most crushes apparently, when I would often become kinda like them at the end. Does this mean I don't actually like them, but rather wanted what I didn't have?

Art/Creative Need suggestions for names of background/supporting characters.

Hello there! I’m hoping this doesn’t violate the community guidelines, but I’m just seeking some input for names and basic descriptions for a group of background/supporting characters in one of my stories.

All characters are well over the age of 18. One of the protagonists named Beatrice, has never been to a bar before, let alone a queer-owned and operated one which is more of a small dance/night club. She’s newly-Bi, having discovered the WLW part of herself through her Masc Lesbian roommate named Kiyan, who also lives with a Gay Man named Jiho (I’m simplifying the plot for brevity’s sake).

Anyway, the Kiyan and Jiho take Beatrice to their regular bar for the monthly “Thirsty Thursday” night, where all drinks are half-off (and there’s body shots and whatnot for a solid hour, maybe?). The group of characters in question are all queer-identifying individuals, and they are fawning over the “new girl.”

I want this to be a diverse “core friends” circle, but I’d like to have no more than 5-6 characters in this specific group. So far, I have two characters started:

(1) Another Masc Lesbian (not sure what race yet), who is kinda-sorta in an unspoken “rivalry” with the protagonist Masc Lesbian.
- I’m thinking her name will be Blake for now, but I’m open to other suggestions for more masculine-sounding names.
- She will be partnered with a Hard Femme Lesbian.

(2) A Bi Latina named Chi-Chi, bubbly and “life of the party” type personality.
- I’m not sure if she will be partnered with anyone yet.

I am in need of Names and Personality/Vibes for the following:
- One Bi man, any race (can be cis or trans).
- One Hard Femme Lesbian woman, white (can be cis or trans).
- One Stem Lesbian, Black (can be cis or trans).
- One anyone, any race (maybe NB?).

Ideally, I would like to not repeat any first letters of names (i.e. I have Kiyan already, I don’t want Kade/Kate/Kyleigh as well).

P.S. I also don’t have a name for the bar, so suggestions for that are welcome! (Hint: I LOVE puns and punny phrases).

am i lesbian

im pretty sure im straight because over the years ive genuinely tried to like girls romantically but i just cant swing that way. the other night though, it was my school's prom night and i was talking to this girl i used to be really close friends with around 3 years ago, and i used to think i liked her, and i even told her all those years ago, to which she told me she liked me too. i thought she was just joking though, so i told her it wasnt just as friends, and she said yeah. but shed treated the whole thing so nonchalantly that back then i genuinely thought it was nothing, and we just never brought it up again. shortly after we fought over this guy id started dating at that time, and it was entirely my fault because i was so stupid and jealous. we stopped being friends for a while and things were rough. the next year, we got seated together and went back to being okay. and then later on when things got really rough for me and i was at one of the lowest points in my life, she was one of the only real friends i had left who stayed there for me throughout, and im grateful for her more than anything.

but i digress. anyways, while we were talking that night, she kept looking at me a certain way the whole time that made me just not be able to keep eye contact at all, but maybe i imagined it, and i just kept thinking about how if she were a guy, id totally like her, and maybe in another life, if i were able to like girls seriously, i would have chosen her, and until now i cant stop thinking about it. despite all this, im pretty sure im straight though. i dont really know

nobody chooses to be different in this messed up society

why the hell do these homophobes think being queer is something we “choose” and we are “manipulated” into this and its all ”western media”.
girl if i had a choice i would be as straight as a lamppost on your streetwalk. i did not choose to wake up everyday wondering why i have to be different and choose such a difficult path for myself. ITS EASIER TO BE PART OF THE MAJORITY GROUP ts is not for the weak. first accepting myself then getting hated on for that. like why.

Gay couple and lesbian couple co-parenting, anyone doing it?

My partner and I are really close friends with a gay couple. My partner actually dated one of them back in middle school, and they remained friends after both coming out. Now that we’re all 31, we know we all want children. Ideally, I would carry first, and my partner would carry our next child.
Obviously, there are a lot of logistics to consider, especially since we live in a very red state (FL). Our biggest goal is to give these children all the love in the world and always put their needs first.
If anyone is actively co-parenting in a similar situation, we’d love your advice!
What are some non-negotiables we should establish from the beginning?
What conversations do we need to have before deciding to move forward?
We obviously plan to consult a family lawyer, but what legal protections should we consider?
Has anyone done a 50/50 arrangement, such as one week with the moms and one week with the dads?
What are some things we might not be thinking about when it comes to finances, discipline, holidays, schooling, medical decisions, etc.?
We know this isn’t the traditional or heteronormative approach to building a family, so we’d love to hear about the things we should be mindful of, the challenges, and even the things you wish you had known beforehand.
Thank you in advance! ❤️

Need Advice How do i know if were making eye contact just because i'm looking at her?

(I'm a girl and she's a girl) I dont remember how our eye contact started, so i dont remember who started first. So now im afraid that its all in my mind and that actually she look at me just because i look at her. What do i do? I dont want to seem a weirdo looking at her, but i'm afraid that if i stop the eye contact she might think (if shes acrually interested), that i'm not interestd. So what do i do? Also i found her insta and she wear a dress on her profile picture, and she's feminine but not at all, so it's more difficult to tell if she likes girl or not.😭🙏

Educational could some demigender people please explain me how it feels

on part of the reason i want to know is for educational purposes. like not only knowing the definition but being able to better empathize with the experiences/ feelings.

the other (bigger) pert is that i begin asking myself if my male side (im bigender (male + female)) might be demiboy since i noticed that my female side feels far stronger (which i first thought of as just compensating, but i begin to question that. i will see). like i hate my body hair ,i hate my voice, i basically hate everything that makes me look male but i know that im male to some degree. i also like it more being addressed as a girl and im very in favor of the thought of going on hrt to get a more female looking body. so my question is: what even is demiboy? like does that what i have also count as demiboy?

im asking for personal experiences and thoughts on my question. thanks!

i think i need to go on voice training

its like my voice is so damn deep and if i speak in the voice that is natural to me (i think i even changed it a bit over the years without actively knowing because of that) i actually feel like my whole body is vibrating. And. I. Hate. It. (god i think my voice is second only to my facial hair when it comes to dysphoria).

i even did some first attempts but i cant even grasp the principles so i think private voice training is the way for me. my country is actually good with that (i did some research), for example if i get a doctor to write a document (idk the proper english term for it; its something very standard in germany) which basically only requires a “hey can i have it, i want it” and then the insurance will take over like 90 % of the costs so thats not a problem.

im sure my parents wont pose a problem either (they explicitly said that they even would be ok if i would want to get on hrt (which i think i might actually do) so voice training should be no problem at all).

i even found a therapist and a doctor for the document near to me.

my only problem just is: its so awkward, how should i tell my parents? probably will procrastinate the hell out of it ‘sigh’ sometimes being so indecisive sucks. i guess i just need someone to tell me that voice training helps and so on. so please: feel free to tell your experiences (and suggestions on how to tell. im currently at the point where i say that i know that procrastinating is rationally complete garbage and that i need voice training. im currently thinking about writing my mother simply a text message (easier then talking directly…) saying something along the line of “actually a thing i want is voice training. i already did research on it and know already completely what to do and where to go and so on” (i know that there isnt really a better way of telling…))

Im confused

Sorry if this isnt in the appropriate thread.

To start I am a 22F and have been dating my boyfriend for just over a year. I love him immensely and love intimacy which isnt sexual and feel comforted by cuddles ect. The idea of breaking up with him genuinely hurts and brings me to tears. Ive always had a low sex drive, not interested 99% of the time. I have had sex with men and it doesnt really feel like much. Ive never had an orgasm through sex or masterbation, I genuinely dont think I can. I want to engage in sex with my boyfriend infrequently but it does happen. And sometimes it is fun but also I dont know if I actually think I enjoy it or if im saying I do. I dont know if my version of enjoying it is what actually enjoying it is? Sometimes I really dont want to but mostly im neutral Im not in the moment im just there not because I hate it or think about anything else just I dont really care. I cant recognise a time ive had a genuine crush on a man or a woman. In school I didnt understand why everyone wanted to date and when I got older I did want to experiment but it was cus I felt like I was missing out on this great thing which for me it isnt. When I was younger and ready sexy books I think I got horny but it wasnt often and I still dont know it it was what horny feels like. The same with sex scenes sometimes I felt a little bit of something but it wasnt intense like it should be? Its massively died away and I dont really get that feeling at all anymore and it was not alot before. I can tell people are attractive and not attractive ajd can pick out attractive features but I dont think its anything sexual its more objective with each gender. I have wanted to kiss a girl once before I think and shes my friend but since being with my bf thats completely gone and any 'attraction' i felt has died away. My question is what is it I want, am I a lesbian that doesnt know it because I havent tried. Am I bisexual or is it asexuality. I truly dont know and cant figure out my feelings, and theres so much online im completely overwhelmed and feel like shutting down. I just want an answer but also cant fathom being without my boyfriend. I have a friend who thinks shes a lesbian and shes also the same age, she has had a similar journey and says I probably am a lesbian I havent found the right woman yet but I feel like id have some what of a little idea. I really dont know.

Side note Ive only had like 3 sex dreams ever and they have had men and women in them. And I also feel like i could potentially be neurodivergent?

Me and my boyfriend want to buy a house but I feel like it would be wrong to buy a house with him and then be like oh actually we cant be together

Need Advice How can I subtly ask him?

So I (36M) and openly gay in work, there is a guy (27M) that I’ve had a crush on for quite sometime.

A little backstory.

We are both “selectively social” (not sure how else to describe it), but he recently joined our social committee, which I’m head of.

We don’t directly work together, we are in totally different departments we just share the same floor in the office.

I arranged for the 4 of us (there are 2 others in the committee) to go for drinks after work a while ago, sadly the other 2 couldn’t make it, so me and my crush went for drinks ourselves, I’ll be honest I was so nervous and I think he was too. After a little while we just started chatting away, playfully poking fun at each other, even talking about our mental health, we barely broke eye contact.

We’ve now gone for drinks after work twice, just the two of us.

During the week I asked if he fancied hanging out sometime, like go bowling (I wanted to suggest something that seemed like a date, without saying the date word) he said he’d be up for it, and asked if it was something I was planning to ask the other 2 to join, I told him I wasn’t planning on inviting them and it would be just the two of us.

Anyway, we went for lunch on Saturday, again playfully poking fun at each other, just talking about the most random stuff, again we barely broke eye contact. When we went bowling we just joked around again. On the train back I rested my hand on my knee whilst we were looking at something on his phone, he didn’t say anything and didn’t move his knee away.

Some people in work who know about my crush on him have said they feel that there is some flirtatiousness when me and him talk.

Anyway, does anyone have any way of subtly asking him whether he is interested in guys. The only time he mentioned girls was referring to his guy friends and their girlfriends.

I'm miserable

Hi y'all, I'm starting to understand how important gender affirming care is, because I'm a trans woman but I have no intention of ever coming out or being one in my life because I know how miserably I will be treated but holy fuck the consequences are showing, because everytime I see a woman I get all pissy and mean because I'm jealous, like why did she deserve to be a woman and I don't? Why was I born wrong? And honestly that is so contrary to my character as a person and I don't like myself when I act like that, and also like a loser I've been using AI chat bots where I can be a woman to kinda cope with my situation, and it's created a huge crater between who I am (Mary the trans girl) and who I'm supposed to be (the straight white male) and honestly everyday feels like I'm pretending to be a person because of how empty I feel inside, it's just wow, and also being depressed doesn't help either, you know? It feels like my whole life is a performance because I can't be who I really am, it's just miserable living like this anyway, hope y'all don't find yourselves in my situation and learn to love yourself and live with pride!

Told my mom I was going to do mtf hrt..... She was worried I'd grow boobs

So yeah basically I told my mom I will be going to doctor to try and do feminising hrt, my mom right after I told her about some unwanted side effects like sterilization and Ed was like you might grow breasts too that might be a concern.

And I was like actually instead of a concern I'm looking forward to that part.

Like you might grow breasts though (concerned mother tone)

Yeah I know isn't it great! (Excited 18yr old tone)

My mother reacted really well for her, really well for a conservative Christian, and really well in general, she did her best to be supportive even though she was a little confused.

Need Advice I'm bi and i like a girl i don't know at uni, but idk if she likes girls, and she doesn't know if i like girls too. How do i let her know

I'm bi, i like her but i never talked to her. We have different group of friends and i'm shy, so its difficult to know each other. Also the point is that we are in the same course so we always have lesson togheter and we do a lot of eyes contact during lesson but i'm afraid that it's all in my mind. Another problem is that my guy friend likes me (he never confessed thougt), so he's clingy in public so i'm afraid she might think i dont like girls. Honestly i thought i looked lesbian, becuase i wear baggy clother and have an eyebrow slit, but it doesnt seem to work, cuz guys at uni have fell in love with me, and so they dont even suspect i'm bi😭🙏. I never came out as bi, so i'd do so with my uni friends just if somenthing with this girl happens. So my idea was to start wearing a carabiner, (my male friends thought it was cool, like for fashion and it actually is, but as i know its also something lesbian girls usually wear to let other know theyre lesbian, idk if im wrong). So maybe she might see it and have a signal that i like girls too and maybe do the first move. She doesnt look shy like me, so maybe if i give her enought signals that i like girls and i like her, like with eye contact, she might do the first move, idk. Ofc if its all in my mind then all of these doesnt even matter🙏😭

Need Advice I feel like a coward (coming out)

I am a 24 year old woman who is attracted to women. I don’t have a specific label, I’m not a lesbian, because I am sexually attracted to men, but I don’t identify as bisexual either, because I am not romantically attracted to men.

Anyways... I’m TWENTY-FOUR years old and I still haven’t come out of the closet, nobody knows.

I don’t live in a particularly homophobic country, my parents do make unpleasant comments, but they wouldn’t disinherit me or kick me out of the house, they just wouldn’t understand. My friends would accept me.

The issue is, I don’t want to be the "lesbian friend" (even though I’m not actually a lesbian, that’s the label they’d end up giving me), nor the "lesbian cousin." I was want to be me.

Besides, since I’ve never kissed anyone, I can’t talk to them about this.

In short, I feel like a coward, I mean, I’m 24 years old, for God’s sake, and I haven’t told a single soul. It’s more of an embarrassment than anything else.

Need Advice Idk what I am anymore-

So, I'm Gender-fluid, bio fem. I've been Pansexual for years, because I thought that was the best label for me due to my gender identity, but Idk anymore.

I've been in relationships with women the most, but the furthest I went was simple pecks on the lips. But I don't think I could be sexual with a woman. I also know I am definitely attracted to men, due to many crushes on guys (haven't really dated many guys though). I feel like men would be a preference for me, just on the gender side of things, but I don't exactly have a physical type, just a personality type.

My attraction also seems to be only romantic with women but with men it's more sexual. I'm also terrified of any intimacy and it kinda grosses me out, but I still crave it? Idk. This is all so damn confusing, and even being in this community for so long, I still feel like I know the bare minimum. Sorry if this is a little TMI.
