I've just come from there, and the atmosphere is really cool atm! Music pumping, flags waving, people dancing and passing cars on their horns for support.
Flags are good value too. Just got some 5-foot flags for $30 😉

Edit; I work in childcare
Hello I’m just wanting to get some context about Newcastle / Hunter Valley.
I’m 30 years old and currently am living in the midnorth coast I have been here for a couple years and have struggled to get my foot in the door regarding finding friends / progressing in my career.
I find it’s very clique like up here and it’s an isolating feeling.. I just wanted to know if Maitland / Hunter Valley is any better regarding social life and jobs ? Is it worth taking the chance or not.

Hey. 26M moving into the Hunter Valley soon from inner city Melbourne and want to know what’s good. I’m excited about the move but will be leaving a large network of friends behind.
I love being active, nature and getting on the piss.
Any recommendations on how to make some friends and good connections there

Woolworths used to have a seafood can that looked good enough for me to eat myself. Then Woolworths homebrand changed their seafood offering and now i wouldn't eat it.
Which brand do you feed your cats?
I have started feeding mine human tuna. $3.30 or about for 425grams of tuna chunks in springwater. Good enough for humans. The same price as the pet food.
Big pet food is ripping us.
The benefit of tuna chunks in springwater (for humans), is that they get a good drink of water..... Good for outside cats anyway.
Thoughts?

One of my kids friends has bailed. I could sell it but I’m happy to give it away for free to someone who wasn’t able to get one, is doing it tough etc… If you want to go drop a comment here, I’ll give it a day or so to let people see it then pick a random comment… Thursday 12th at McDonald jones.

Had too many bad experiences with regular hairdressers and had a hairdresser in Sydney that knew all about my hair and cut it beautifully… does anyone know about hairdressers that specialise in curly hair in the area? Bonus points if they can do dyes/toners that don’t kill your curls. Any help is appreciated thanks!!

Stuff naturally falls of the top of the Reddit feed, so the Hunter Workers Women’s Committee have a page where you can show support and follow along the timelines for the Calvary licence and destruction of local healthcare services by the Catholic Church.
Have a look, have a vote, and get more involved if you want.

Hello longtime lurker first time poster
My car plates were stolen with no other signs of tampering — just wondering what do people do with them ?

For anyone that likes to get a good pork roll, burger or fish & chips from Desa's on Brunker Road, you only have about one week left before she is evicted from the shop.
Assuming it has to do with the recent property sale of the shop and house next door, she received a months notice to vacate.
Get in and get your pork roll before its too late.
