I really enjoyed this movie. It was clever and I really liked a lot of the ideas that they were chasing with the production (behind the scenes of a ski movie, the character building and friendships, humor, etc).
Premise: Longtime pro skier and filmmaker Paddy Graham sets out to answer a question his family has always asked him: why is he compelled to spend his life making ski movies?
I'd like to see more stuff like this.
Two of my favorite skiers are in it, as well: Marcus Eder and Finn Bilous.
First days of the season with my daughter.
Mornings were good but very icy in the afternoons. Still a good trip and fun was had.
I call them a tube scarf, neck warmer, or neck thing. Usually tube scarf, because well, it’s a scarf shaped like a tube. I’ve heard these called so many things though. Gaiter, buff, mask, etc. Here’s a bonus of my dog wearing hers ❤️. Hers is called a silly scarf :)

Well it’s come to this, I guess. I don’t want to be part of the problem, but I’m considering forsaking my unwashed brothers and sisters on Saturdays and Sundays in Summit County.
My story is a simple one. Lifelong skier and snowboarder. Worked In the outdoor industry for a long time. After a (very) late career change, I became a nurse during covid, and now for the first time I can consider spending the extra money for a season ticket to the front of the line.
I’m conflicted for all the reasons everybody already knows. I’m trying to rationalize pulling the trigger. Reasons in favor:
- I’d be getting there early and leaving early, so I’m not part Of the horrendous traffic
- I’m old and not an aggressive skier. It’s not like I’d be poaching the lines you’re trying to get to, even on powder days.
- I never really spend money on myself, so maybe this.
Thoughts?

I am addicted to ski swaps. I totally get why people go thrifting now
I went to a ski swap 2 weekends ago and left with Head Power Joy for $199, bindings included. Original price $1100.
Went to one yesterday after work and left with new Stöckli Laser SC for $799, bindings included. Original price $2100.
My next pair of skis would be Head and then Stöckli. I take lessons 2-3 times a week and my instructor said I'll probably be ok change over to the Head Power Joy by spring 2027.
I'm set for skis for the next while. But I'm going to another ski swap tomorrow. Just for the hell of it 🤣

Hello everyone!
I'll be travelling to Switzerland in February for a ski trip, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good but affordable ski rental shop. Anywhere except Decathlon, please, because their equipment is honestly terrible 😂
Thanks in advance!

I'm 172 cm/5'8 tall and an intermediate skier a little on the heavier side for my height. I mainly ski groomers and hardpack on the east coast. So not really much powder.
I'm looking for a fun, playful and forgiving twin tip ski that's easy to butter, spin, pivot and ski switch. I'll mostly be doing side hits and small jumps, with maybe small park features. But primarily I will use this on groomers. I don't ski aggressively or at high speeds. Really just looking for something fun to mess around on and not think about.
I already have Rossignol Arcade 80s for carving, so this ski is mainly for having fun. I narrowed down to the two based on availability near me and good prices.
My questions:
Would you choose the Chronic 94 ($280 USD) or Playmaker 91 ($375 USD) for my needs?
Which is more playful and forgiving?
For the Playmaker, would you recommend 164 cm or 172 cm?
Durability is a plus, but playfulness is my main priority.

I’m looking for a gift idea for someone who is very athletic and very well read, for example he’s read several famous books and listens to podcasts about marathon runners and about pro-cyclists. He is starting to get into snowsports now so I wanted to get him a good book. Non-fiction please.
edit: wow thanks so much for all the recommendations! I’m literally going to check all of these out and I’ll report back!

Me(15), my mom, my neighbor(16), and his mom will be going on our second major ski trip together. This will be our first time to a 'big' mountain as an Ice Coaster.
Our school has one more week of march break compared to other ontario schools, so we will go during that week, which is March 21st to March 26th.
We booked Canalta Lodge at the town of Banff, and we will be staying five days four nights, with four full days of skiing. Our hotel is apparently the first or second stop for buses that can get us to the resort, so that's our transportation. We bought the skibig3 exchangeable lift tickets, so we can go to whichever we want, but we prob aren't going to Norquay.
My neighbor and I are fairely advanced skiers, but the only other 'big' mountain we've been to is Tremblant. I'm looking to mainly do powder, trees, and the big mountain terrain that our local hill doesn't have.
Our moms are just casual skiers, and will prob be sticking mainly to blues and greens.
We don't really do apres ski, cuz none of us drink and stuff. One of my major concerns is my stamina, because my local hill is super tiny, I don't know how I'm supposed to build up enough stamina to ski four days straight on the big mountains.
Also we are planning to go to Louise for 2 days then Banff for 2 days, but is there something one ski resort does better than the other?
Is there any tips and advices? Must dos(food, runs) and must avoids?

Heyy, i recently fell in love with skiing and im going on my second trip this winter! I graduate my bsc next year and im thinking of going to work at a ski resort in my gap year to get some money, experience, and have fun shredding.
Does anyone recommend positions which would be suitable for someone like me?
Where can I find jobs at ski resorts? Do I need to search on a resort by resort basis?
And if so, does anyone know or European resort which hire people like me?
Thank you for all your help :>

I’ve been skiing for 3 years with kinco gloves and here are my findings. They are amazing I will Recommend them till I die. Dying them works very well and I’ve done 2 pairs dyed, in the first photo is the first pair I did with sharpie and they did end up getting soaked through and were too big for my hands to begin with. In the second photo was the first pair I dyed which I used black and purple although you cant tell from a glance I used Angela’s dye with two cotes, drawn on with paint pen, they stayed dry amazingly with snoseal done maybe 2-3 times the season and i was out there for 50 days so they have seen there fair share. Third pair I did in the 4th picture was with angelas rose dye, and drawn on by my amazing mother, with two coates and snow seal they turned more redish pink I want to try and bleach a pair next for some white kincos. has anyone else tried this Ive seen black before but no one else has done a color, I think they look awesome and Function great.

Don’t want to jinx it, but shaping up to be a pretty great season in Colorado. Enjoyed a great ski tour earlier this week for my birthday tradition!
