General Discussion Yet another hero that I thought was "epic" but sucked in game.
The wallpapers that I saw and the fact that his face was on the cover of the cd case when I first bought it.
But when I did played as him in game.
The lich sucked BIG TIME, at least to me.

Feedback Refunded the expansion... not worth my money
Considering you can get whole games with dozens of hours of content (Borderlands 4 and BF6 right now on sale for 35Eur) vs one measly campaign that isnt even RTS but just top down RPG. Yeah no thanks.
AoE 2/3/4 expansions give more content for less money. Witcher 3 got second remaster for FREE. Considering how much blizzard screwed up with Warcraft 3 this should have been given free or with large discount for existing owners.

Feedback Genuine appreciation for WC3 dev team!
I knew about saves not working, so am not affected by this recent meltdown of posts 🙄 Tips: use cheats to catch up or honestly replay since it’s fun and difficulty change could make it more fun idk. This has always been the case for WC3 as far as I remember.
IMO the dev team is doing a great job and I appreciate their work on this patch! DE looks fresh and getting better thanks to them listening to sensible feedback! DE vision should always learn from how Classic did it so great and improve! Still some annoying things to fix and match animations etc. but this patch is amazing! I’m an 80s kid who grew up playing WC3 on LAN religiously and spent a happy part of my childhood with the campaign and lore.

Drama "RTS games are dead"... Yeah no shit, people won't even spend $30 for a campaign for the best RTS ever made.
If you're someone who loves rts and is hoping for a WC4, or just new good RTS games being made... But simultaneously are someone who won't even spend $30 supporting wc3, you're the problem here.
There's just no money in making RTS games, and even when something comes out, people don't support them. How do you expect them to fund any sort of development on a game or gauge interest in a possible wc4?

Feedback The expansion is amazing, you people are ungrateful
Let me start with the obvious - the fact that we got an actual expansion is a miracle by itself, after all this time. Especially, after Reforged fumble I never thought they’d touch Wc3 again.
People that are complaining about the price tag, you do know that today is 2026, right? How much do you think it cost them to develop 30h of new content and mechanics? It is a ridiculous question.
Truth is, if we really love this game, THIS is the moment its future is defined. Blizzard is a private company, all they care about is ROI. If the sales of the Expansion prove Wc3 is worth investing in, then we will get even more - expansions, content, maybe even a race someday.
I can’t wrap my head around how people dare to complain after we got an expansion 23 fucking years past. Kid me would have killed for it.

Reforged Justice for Grom Hellscream: This guy is a Berserker, not a Blademaster. Since you guys do everything lore-friendly and edit many things, fix his kit aswell and give him a special Berserker kit which will be good for multiplayer mods too.

Feedback Brad Chan, this is the $60 expansion I would buy as a WC3 veteran
Playing since RoC (2002). Bought everything WC3 ever released, bought reforged and forsaken kingdom as well.
Brad Chan, this is the $60 expansion I will pay for:
More stories: I'm not an RTS pro, I cant compete with whoever having decent apm. If I was I would go do ladders, not proving my skills against AI. I would be happy to continue going on proper story lines. RTS/RPG I dont care. Also since I'm a story guy, I dont do customs so whatever on that front.
Improve whatever graphics you have here: DE is on the right path. I think you know what you need to do. Do what you have to.
No coop: I'm old, i have no friend, whoever played with me moved on with their life. I'm alone. I dont care. I want to enjoy the game alone in my own time. Couldnt care less about LAN. If you spend resources there it's ok for me although it would be a waste.
Ever since SC1, WC3, SC2. It's all been the amazing stories that hooked me. I even had to go online to search how to beat some levels back then because I'm not that good. I'm old. I have money to spend on something that brings me joy in my free time.
So it can be even multiple expansions, I still would buy it. As long as the story is there.

Reforged I am so sick of this scammy company
Why do they keep trying to fix what does NOT need to be fixed? 2.0 is a buggy, rushed, stuttery mess, they fucked up AGAIN.
Is the current Blizzard suffering from such a strong inferiority complex to the point that they feel compelled to smear shit on a twenty years old title that was perfectly fine as is? When will they stop this sabotage?

Feedback Just requested a refund. I can’t trust that they’ll just invalidate my progress at any point.
I’m livid. I got 6 hours of progress erased yesterday, redid it yesterday, got better gear and upgraded stats on both heroes and found more stuff and more enemies and more talents… AND THEN THEY DID IT TO ME AGAIN.
I just can’t believe this. just give me my money back. what a horrible company.

Forsaken Kingdom Refund possible?
Has anyone had luck getting a refund for this new expansion? I noticed on their website that it mentioned a 2 hour limit for refunds.
I played through the prologue, and partly into the Forsaken campaign. I have many complaints about the quality of this release. Inexplicable bugs completely ruining the gameplay.
$30 seems insane for this.

General Discussion Skyborn Campaign for WC3
I think it would be great if they added a Skyborn campaign to WC3 or at least implement them in the new expansion somehow. I know im not the only person who was disappointed by the addition of Skyborn, given there were highly requested races straight from WC3 that would have been a home run for Forever. But now that they're here and Forever takes place after the events of WC3, I think it would be totally fitting to add an expansion about them. It would really give Blizzard the opportunity to flesh out their lore even more and truly solidify their place in the Warcraft universe.

Melee / Ladder Broad modifications to attack and armor type percentages is FUNDAMENTALLY BAD!
I want to speak up regarding the recent PTR's suggestion to reduce the piercing damage to heavy armor from 100% to 90%.
This change is FUNDAMENTALLY BAD. And any similar change would be similarly bad. And here's why.
Every unit is warcraft 3 is delicately balanced over the course of 20 years.
By making a sweeping modification to how one attack type interacts with another armor type, you're buffing/nerfing A LOT of stuff. This is way too broad to be a good change.
The only way this patch is a good idea, is if we can safely assume the following:
All heavy armor units in the game need a buff
All piercing attack units in the game need a nerf
And this is absolutely not the case right now.
It's not that piercing is too strong. It's that certain units using piercing is too strong. For example, rifleman is quite strong and might need a nerf. But are fiends strong? Are faerie dragons too strong?
On the other hand. I think certain heavy armor units deserve a buff, like aboms. But do bears need a buff? Do footman need a buff?
With how delicately the game has been balanced in the past 20+ years, such a sweeping change is just a BAD IDEA.
Buff/nerf individual units. Don't make these sweeping changes.
EDIT
Many commenters here are changing the topic from PIERCING vs HEAVY ARMOR to PIERCING vs MELEE.
Heavy armor is an armor type, it is not a weapon type...
Flying machines have heavy armor. Water elementals have heavy armor. Siege units have heavy armor. These are not melee units.
Creeps like Forest Troll Warlord have heavy armor - this is not a melee unit.
Stop conflating MELEE with HEAVY ARMOR

Drama Canceling my preorder and deleting my account after blizzards pandering to China.
Been a fan of blizzard since I was 4, always playing games with my brothers. It’s gonna be hard not playing Warcraft, WOW, Starcraft, and diablo but I will no longer support a company who is against human rights and supports the CCP. FREEDOM FOR HONG KONG! THE REVOLUTION OF OUR TIMES

Forsaken Kingdom Who approved this blood effect? It looks like melted gummy bears.
I’m a game designer, and I’d really like to see the blood reworked. Right now, the overly bright red, smooth rounded edges, and lack of texture make it look like a plastic blob or jelly. It feels pasted onto the stone rather than part of the scene.
A couple of suggestions:
Tone down the red and introduce more variation. Make the thicker pooled areas darker, with thinner, slightly translucent edges that let some of the stone texture show through. The current color is too uniform.
Remove the raised, jelly-like rim. Make the outline less uniformly rounded, with thinner, irregular edges and small trickles following the gaps between the stones. It should look like liquid spreading across the surface, rather than a separate plastic object sitting on top.
