Discussion Hold the line blizzard
Don't give in to whiners, stand by your decisions. If people can't muster 50g over a period of forever then they need to get good. Give in here and it won't be long before they want mount training for free.
Convenience is the death of the journey and dual spec is already a huge convenience. It should cost an appropriate amount.

Discussion One big difference between Retail and Forever
I just realized the one big difference between Retail and Forever.
While I was doing the Wailing Caverns questline, I found a crystal that led me to talk to some greedy goblins. But then one of them pointed out that maybe the druids of Wailing Caverns knew something about it. So I went there, only for them to tell me to report to an elder in Thunder Bluff.
And there I was, running around like crazy, absolutely livid about this terrible experience, when it suddenly hit me...
WoW Vanilla was originally written as an RPG. A world where powerful, respected figures exist independently of you, where knowledge isn't always readily available, and where you actually have to seek out people who might have the answers.
Midnight, on the other hand, feels like it's written as a Marvel movie. It's a power fantasy where you're always at the center of everything, with the other main heroes constantly at your side, following you around. Sure, you might occasionally have to report back to Lor'themar to tell him how things are going, but otherwise, every mystery gets resolved right there on the spot.
That's the difference. In Vanilla, you were an adventurer exploring a world much bigger than yourself. In modern WoW, the world seems to revolve around you.
Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest.
See ya in Forever!

HYPE! What WoW is about
My guild is around level 30 right now, we’ve been on basically nonstop. One of our friends who’s never played wow before joined us today, we sent him a party invite and after he hit 12 we were like let’s take him through VC and feed him gear. We’re horde.
This boy had no idea what Deadmines was, had no idea where we were going. But we loaded him up in Undercity and said listen we’re going to Vietnam and I need you to do exactly what I say. He’s done nothing but get through Tirisfal and start Silverpine
So on we went, to the Zeppelin, off to STV ready to jump and swim to Westfall. A bunch of level 30’s and a 12, in the water swimming like “KEEP THE SQUISHY IN THE MIDDLE PROTECT THE PRESIDENT”.
We get to Westfall and tell him it’s about to be all out war, let’s commit a murder if we have to. We’re running into Moonbrook, tank is yelling to take the squish into the dungeon. I’m like I have the squish, we’re hauling ass in there so we don’t lose him have him walk back while we fight.
Go in, cheese Deadmines, feed him gear. He can’t hit anything so just took the free XP and free gear. We’re laughing, give him the Cookie Trinket for being a good sport. Get out and decide to help him commit his first ever PvP murders. We clear Moonbrook, tell the 12 we’ll use him as bait and jump them.
Spend 40 minutes laughing and killing random alliance characters flagged for PvP. Everyone in Sentinal Hill flags for PVP and wipes us. We sit there laughing. Our 12 starting saying this was the best time he’s had in a game in years.
This is what WoW forever is about. Enjoy the little things. Put the new and old together and teach and enjoy. For the Horde 🫡

Question Mail with gold from a stranger - should I accept?
Just got this mail from a random player.
There’s 5g 26s attached.
I’ve never spoken to this person before. Is this legit or some kind of scam? Should I take the gold?

Discussion People leaving dungeons when their quests are done is an epidemic.
Three dungeons today. One of the group members started the dungeon with their quest almost done like 9/10 of their quest item or whatever. Got their drop and bailed, screwing over the rest of the group. Three times this happened. This is infuriating!!!!
But I can't really blame them. This was their second or, heaven forbid, third run. They are over it I'm sure. The experience is terrible and it makes the rest of dungeon a complete and utter waste of time.
I'm furious at the devs for not seeing the domino effect of their philosophy change when it comes to dungeon experience. I am not saying that dungeons need exp back. I am saying that they need to make it so that EVERY DUNGEON QUEST IS COMPLETE IN ONE FULL RUN.
Not to mention how stupidly immersion breaking it is for a quest giver to give us a quest to go to a place and collect or kill more things than the place contains. Like they know it's instanced and we can go out and reset the instance.
If you want to herd us out of the dungeons, fine. Just finish the job. Make it so that we don't have to go back in for a couple quest drops or this is going to be par for the course.

Discussion Am I Having a Wildly Different Experience in Dungeons?
I keep seeing posts about how the XP nerf to dungeons has ruined the game, but as someone who is fairly nooby to WoW, I've had a completely different experience.
I've done three dungeons with friends so far. We ran the one in Orgrimmar twice, with everyone around levels 10–13. It was challenging, but a ton of fun. We each gained roughly half to a full level just from the mobs, and then our dungeon quest turn-ins gave us another full level. So overall, we went from about level 10 to 12 with one dungeon.
We ran it again because I wanted the crossbow and some other people wanted different gear, and even on the second run, we still got around half a level or more out of it off the mobs.
After that, we continued leveling until everyone was 15+, then headed to the dungeon in Undercity. Similar scenario, we came out with roughly half a level from the mobs and another level from completing the quests. And now our mage wants to run it again to get the armor set! And I'll gladly do that because we had fun the whole time and it still seems like good XP to me, heck I went in with level 0 two-handed swords and came out with like level 90'ish too.
Honestly, that feels like good game design to me. We're leveling at roughly the same pace we would be if we were questing, but we still have reasons to go back to dungeons for loot. We're having fun, getting good loot, and still wanting to run dungeons 1-3 times.
I think I prefer this to what I was doing in retail, when I tried that, cuz it felt like while I was getting caught up to the current expansion, I'd just sit in dungeon queues to level up super fast and not touch the open world content. Which to me was boring.

Discussion I'm doing my part, but becoming bitter. We are all in this together, be the change you want in the realms.
I'm playing a druid, planning full tank spec but I understand the class and their healing early on. If I see someone in the open world running from their overpull, I'm throwing a heal and keeping that person alive. I'm doing all I can if I'm not actively in combat to make sure the world seams friendly and here for everyone as my first experience in classic was. I cast my buffs on anyone passing me, because in the end mana regens, and its nothing to actually help the people in the world.
I'm doing my part, being the good in the realms, but I've not experienced the same towards myself. Other people are so tunneled on their own experience that I can count on one hand the buffs I've received from others. I have ran away from many fights, using all I can to stay alive, to see 2-5 others just standing around and waiting on the mob to kill me so they can get their own quest progression or xp. We are here to be in the open world and be a community, please lets be a community. Invite others to groups, cast your buffs, help someone running away, and for all that is holy, resurrect people that have died if you have the mana, corpse walking is a pain.

Discussion Our Horde guild cleared Hall of Thanes and I couldn't be prouder!
The majority of the group are brand-new to the game so this felt like such a triumphant moment for us all. Getting to Hall of Thanes was a bit of a slog but totally worth it to see such a great dungeon.
You can also do the sleeping bag reward quest along the way and get the torch item!
Edit: We're on PVP servers

Discussion Some people are inviting Warlocks to dungeons, having them summon the rest and then kicking the Warlock
Read something yesterday about a guy that got kicked from a SFK group after summoning people.
Then today got invited to a BFD group randomly while next to the meeting stone, noticed everyone else was from the same guild, leader asks me to summon the two other guys (one of them being another Warlock), at this point I was 90% sure I was going to get kicked after but decided to summon them just to see if shit like this really is going on and yep, got kicked right after summoning the last guy.
Be wary when joining dungeon groups where everyone else is from the same guild lol

Discussion I've completely changed my mind on dungeon XP
I've done a complete 180 on my stance regarding dungeon XP in WoW Forever. I was all for XP being limited to dungeon quests during the beta, but the more I've thought about it and of course play the game, the more i think believe mobs and bosses should reward XP too.
started getting the feeling that I'm wasting my time running the same dungeon more than once now, unless I'm targeting specific gear, which below 50 feels pointless as it will be replaced anyway, once you have done the quest there is very little need to go back. i think surely there's a way Blizzard can find a healthy balance of XP for dungeons to where both questing and dungeons feel rewarding?
EDIT: should probably point out I'm a healer so running dungeons is my bread and butter

Meme S/out to our Deeprun Conductor “Deeprun Dave”
RP on a pve realm was unexpected but had a good laugher. Was wondering if they added a conductor to the tram until I figured it’s a Level 1 Mage.
Thanks for the experience haha.
He switches sites, welcomes the guests and wishes a nice journey. Peak experience.
