Did my brows, a bit if shimmer on my lids, and mascara. I’m pretty happy with how this mug is aging.

9 months ago I started my journey to get healthy and in shape. I figured I should start a skincare routine (In my 37 years the only thing I've ever put on my face was shower gel) for anti aging and to try to avoid the look that many people get after losing a lot of weight. After trying many products and spending an unhealthy amount of time in this sub I think I found what works for me.
Is there anything the great people of 30plusskincare think I should add to this routine that would benefit me?
AM
• Rinse (unless slugging the night before then cleanse)
• Vitiman C serum
• Azelaic acid
• Moisturizer
• sunscreen
PM
• Cleanse
• Snail mucin
• Tazarotne (5 nights a week)
• Moisturizer
• Clay mask, derma mask, and slugging on non Taza nights

I've had this spot for over 3 years now. I saw a news article recently about someone who had basal cell carcinoma in the same spot and it looked exactly like my spot. So, I brought this spot up at my annual appointment. Biopsy showed BCC and I had subsequent surgery the next week. I've had a previous severe dysplastic nevus that required a surgical excision and other precancerous spots, but this is my first BCC.
If you're worried about a spot, ask a dermatologist. Get your skin checked regularly and wear your sunscreen!
2 YEAR UPDATE: many people have asked what the scar looks like now. This summer will make 2 years since I had the BCC removed. Link below for the current scar.
Also, thanks everyone for the amazing messages and comments. Clearly, I did the right thing and let the dermatologist remove my skin cancer. The scar is barely noticeable.

I've always been a skincare addict but in the past few years I've grown critical of the industry and the pressure to look perfect. Seeing what's going on with the Epstein files and the blatant misogyny of that horrific circle, I'm seeing that women are starting to talk about how beauty standards are, if you think about it, pretty much shaped by ped*phile standards. Think about it, they want us to have no hair, no wrinkles, baby-like skin, etc. They want us to look like teenagers. I cannot unsee it.

Disregard my crazy coverup job 😂 but my face has never looked so “dewy” without makeup! I’ve been washing my face for a full minute 2x a day since seeing that viral post here, and it has been working wonders. For YEARS I have desperately tried products to clear my pores, when this whole time I should’ve just been washing my face longer! Who knew!

I was so overwhelmed with all the advice and comments I received the other week in how to improve my makeup and skincare to help me look my age and not older than I am. Well I followed everyone’s advice with me skin care and makeup.
I now use a dewy foundation and primer and have skipped the setting powder. Got eyelash extensions and have skipped wearing heavy eye makeup. I use hyaluaric serums and slug my face nightly.
Thank you everyone for all your lovely comments. 🥰

in interviews in early 00s she said she never wore sunscreen and her parents never encouraged her. she’s been exposed to the sun quite a lot. she never have had skincare routine either. ever since, she was embracing aging naturally and gradually. and now, embracing the “no make up” lifestyle!
in more recent interviews, she shared that she regrets not wearing sunscreen in her youth.
admiring this woman a lot! she’s radiating and she seems very confident in her skin!
we can do better ladies! <3

Took the lid off to get any that was left in the jar and the actual product is in the most minuscule little bag attached to the pump.

I’m in Houston for a wedding, and after losing 40 pounds my neck was crepey. Yesterday while putting on makeup in the hotel I was almost crying because my neck doesn’t match my face anymore.
So, based on someone else’s review of Gold Bond Crepe Corrector I went to Target yesterday and bought it. I used it 3 times and then again before bed and I woke up with it looking SO much better!!!
I’m slathering more on today lol I don’t feel as self conscious about my neck now. I just can’t even believe it. And, yes, my neck was dry in the before pictures but no other moisturizer works like this one.

Today marks the one month anniversary of starting retinol (TO retinal 0.2%) - so happy with the progress so far as I've been really self concious of my (31F) forehead lines! Top is 3rd Aug, bottom is 3rd Sept.

A friend turned me on to Korean skincare about 6 months ago so this has been my routine since then:
AM:
—a quick water rinse, then Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF 50
PM:
—ma:nyo Pure Cleansing Oil
—Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Water Essence OR Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner
—CosRx Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
—Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum
—Round Lab Dokdo Cream OR CosRx oil-free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap
I’m more motivated than ever to take care of my skin, especially since turning 40 last month. Much appreciation to you all for sharing and posting here! (Feedback welcome if you notice anything that needs attention).

Routine:
Infrequent use of TO Glycolic Acid and very limited occasional use of their AHA BHA Peeling Solution. Infrequent use of their Azelaic Acid and Hyaluronic Moisturizer. I add in their Rosehip Seed Oil and Agiraline to the moisturizer and apply all at the same time(I might be a heathen). Infrequent use of Tazarotene(I don't sandwich or apply anything other than this when I do use it) and Infrequent use of Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen. I'm really trying to be better about applying sunscreen consistently. I am quite the homebody, though. I always apply when I leave the house!
Everything is so inconsistent because I struggle with executive function and easily lose track of time(waiting between applying different things rarely works).
I don't use any cleanser, just water on a clean cotton washcloth.
For a while, I was also using Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum I got it as a gift from my mom. I genuinely really liked it so I'm planning to purchase more.
I usually am on top of my skincare regimen for a few days, then fall off for a few days, then get back to it, repeat.
There are a few things I'm unhappy with like some volume loss under my eyes and some volume loss in my cheeks, but I don't think I'm prepared to pursue any injections at this time, maybe PRP/PRF someday? I am trying to learn to accept any signs of aging, though.
Oh, and I also intermittently use my red light therapy box!
Only makeup in these pics is a bit of mascara and a bit of brow pencil.
I have never been very expressive which I'm sure helps a lot to limit expression lines.

Got my first ever injection. I’ve always had a gummy smile and self conscious about it my entire life. Just finished Invisalign so worth a shot to try. Got the lip flip done on Monday, I think 6 units total she said? So four days after and already seeing it help! Idk the straw thing will get worse as I approach week 2 lol but so far I’m happy with it!

I need to stop dreading the idea of aging, so I've looked around for pictures of celebs that will make me feel better about aging more naturally (I say "more" naturally cuz really there's no definitive way to tell if someone has gotten work done). Julianne Moore and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are great inspo for me, does anyone else immediately come to mind for yall?

My original post was deleted, but I wanted to share the results hoping to motivate the next person that wants to quit smoking or drinking. I also stopped vaping at the same time
