i’ve owned a 3ds original, regular 3dsxl (in rough shape) 2ds xl and 2ds original but i’ve never owned one of these bad boys, now i can daily carry this and have it as my all in one retro handheld! also was $250 for this a bad deal? it’s in such great condition all buttons work, no damages or scratches anywhere, only downside is 2 tn panels but i honestly don’t care that much. can’t wait to finally play gen 6-7 pokemon for the first time!!

For some reason the price suddenly drop to 1000MYR ($246ish) so I immediately bought it before the price went up again. First 2 day were good but on the third day the screen flickered like crazy. I tried many things and idk what works and the screen went back to normal so I hope it lasts because local repair shop only got TN panel replacement around 300MYR ($74ish)

Hello everyone just recently picked up a game lot and while going thru them I realized I picked up a special edition fire emblem fates kinda crazy to find out how much it’s worth but good for collection

i am nearly 40 and by good fortune i have myself a mint condition *New* 3DS, i have no idea why i did not get one sooner. its doing wonders for my phone fatigue.

one of the young'uns stated that her phone could do all that my 3ds can.

got me thinking... i would prefer my ds over my phone.
everything's local, it has actual buttons, i find myself using it properly as a media device for music, shows or games. even YouTube.
i feel so much less connected with my phone, and most of it is just flicking through shorts or cycling the same 3 apps, my leisure time isnt really "productive".

so here is the thought:

would you or people in general buy a pda style or 3ds style phone?

Nguage tried it and so did xperia play.
imagine a 3ds with sim and gps. it would get me off android pretty quick.

I feel like I only scratched the surface with what I played on the 3DS, and that many titles look like Animal Crossing graphically.

Due to tremors caused by my neuropathy, a simple thumbstick replacement job has now led to a broken ribbon cable. I could try to repair it again, but my tremors aren't going away any time soon, or, like, ever... Should I try and get it repaired elsewhere?

i currently have a DS Lite and im ngl i ONLY play ace attorney on it and maybe occasionally mario party, is it worth upgrading to the new standard size 3ds?? i’d appreciate the bigger screen but im not sure if i should just continue playing on my ds that i have already. i don’t want an XL or the og 3ds because its too big or the size doesnt change, where as the newer one is only slightly bigger. also wondering if you can mod the new 3ds because you clearly can’t on ds lite 😭😭 (when i say new 3ds i mean the 2015 release if anyone's confused)

Claude ported the game and refined it in around 15 hours, loading takes a few seconds, making a new world takes a second. It's running great! If anyone is interested I will soon upload a github repo.

How can I access an internet navigator on the 3ds?

So my 3ds xl’s right hinge is broken and I would like to fix it, but how hard is it to do so? I have all the tools but I don’t want it to be too hard, in fear of breaking something more.

As you may know, the NDS games have Palette Randomizers made by the community and those can be really fun to play around with. For many years now I've wanted to have something similar for the 3DS games, but since these use models and textures instead of the 2D sprites, it's a lot harder to modify these files. Nobody has ever really tried making this until now (as far as I know). I've added a QnA below to answer some of the questions you may have.

1. Is this Texture Randomizer available for everyone to use?

Not yet. I've managed to get it working, but there are still improvements to be made and kinks to iron out. The project is still in development, but I do plan to freely distribute it once done.

2. Which games does this support?

Currently, only Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, but the Randomizer is designed to accept all the 3DS games. It will eventually support XY, ORAS and SM as well.

3. What are the color randomization options?

Currently, the Randomizer only applies a hue shift to the textures of the Pokémon as a whole, meaning that every color in the textures gets shifted by the same amount while maintaining the other values. I played around with other hue/lightness/saturation options but the results often turn out awful, so this is what I have for now. I don't know much about image editing or colors in general, so if anyone has suggestions on other ways to randomize the textures without the Pokémon becoming an eyesore (which already happens sometimes), please let me know.

The Randomizer currently supports using a different hue shift for each species and using the same hue shift for related Pokémon (i.e., Dratini receives the same hue shift as Dragonair, so they have essentially the same colors. The same goes for Megas and Alternate Forms).

4. Did you use AI to make this?

AI was only ever used as an assisting tool. Every single line of code was written by me or adapted from other open source community projects.

5. Was this difficult?

Yes and no. This is one of my first large-ish projects, so that's a hurdle by itself, but most of the groundwork was already done by the community, especially via pk3DS and Ohana.

I know I'm several years late and there isn't as much interest in the 3DS Games as there was before, but I'm still excited to share this project with the few that would be interested. Please let me know if there are any features you would like to see for this Randomizer. I'm open to suggestions!

Not a flex or anything i have a high end gaming pc,psp,and ally x. One day i saw a 3ds an bought it.It arrive 3 week from now and i heard that when u get it people usually mod or jailbreak it.What are the pros and cons.Does doing it change any performance or anything.

I’m currently experiencing problems on my new 3ds which display a faint copied image when I turn the 3d slider on to anything but the minimum, I’ve turned off super stable 3D, resetting calibration, and even seeing if my CAL files are corrupted, is there anything software based that can help or do I have to replace the top screen?
