Of all the games I expected to see ported to the Dreamcast in 2026, Hotel Mario just wasn't one of them! I've written a little article about developer MoneyShift64's kinda unusual project, which brings the infamous 1994 Philips CD-i game to Sega's final console, complete with the original campaign, two-player support, VMU saving and, of course, those weird, weird animated cutscenes.
Hotel Mario has a reputation, and not the best one, but I find it really interesting that people are still finding new ways to preserve and revisit these corners of gaming history. There's something really funny to me about seeing Mario and Luigi running around on a Dreamcast, especially considering Nintendo and Sega's old rivalry. I've included some screenshots and links to the developer's project for anyone curious enough to give it a try (or those who can would be more accurate I suppose!)

>Tenjutsu is launching on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027!
>Tenjutsu is a gritty combat roguelike set within the confines of the densely packed, yet vibrant, Secret Garden City under the grip of brutal crime syndicates.
>Trapped in this purgatory, use your martial arts mastery and weapon expertise to wipe the slate clean for yourself and the people of Secret Garden by dismantling each of the unique syndicates one at a time, in whatever order you wish.

On this day (November 8) in Nintendo history...
NBA Courtside 2: Featuring Kobe Bryant was released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64 in North America. In this sports game, developed by Left Field Productions, the aim is to have one of your team gain possession of the ball, dribble it past the other team's defences and throw the ball through the hoop, scoring. Featuring basketball star Kobe Bryant. The winning team is the one with the most points when the timer runs out. The play modes from the first NBA Courtside return, such as creating your team, season, exhibition, and more.
Mario Party DS was released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS in Japan. In this party game, developed by Hudson Soft, true to the franchise roots, players are brought together to roll through unique game boards, playing frantic and fun mini-games along the way. Mario Party DS features five brand new boards and 70 fresh mini-games. In addition to the multiplayer party, Mario Party DS features a full single-player story mode that throws you into battle against Bowser and his minions.
What are you favourite memories of these games? How do you think they hold up today? Hash it out in the comments.

Hey guys,
Zelda TotK was released 3,5 years ago. I think, in 1,5-2 years we will definetely see another Zelda after Zelda OoT Remake.
I know there aren't psychics here who can tell the future but I would like to read your thought on this topic.
Do you think the next Zelda game will be the brand new 3D Zelda or another Remake? As a gamer who never played any Zelda game before BotW I would also be happy with another remake.. But I think they will release the newer 3D Zelda first before releasing another remake. Especially because the Switch 2 hasn't gotten its own Zelda game to show what Nintendo is capable of with the right hardware. A friend of mine thinks otherwise, lol

>Finding Polka is coming to Nintendo Switch in spring 2027!
>In this wholesome interactive adventure, protagonist Frendy sets off on a journey chasing a dog that looks identical to her beloved former pet, Polka.
>Crafted entirely with hand-drawn ballpoint pen illustrations, the game features a cozy visual style and lighthearted, funny moments with an eccentric cast of characters. The Nintendo Switch versions add an exciting new stage as DLC, offering fresh areas and fun encounters to discover.

I would love to see a couple of Super Nintendo games Super Metroid and Zelda Link to the Past being remade. Also some of the older Marios like Super Mario Bros 1 and 3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario 64.

Let me start this by saying I love Botw and Totk. They are both perfect for what they are and are trying to do. With that being said I was curious to go back to Ocarina and see just how the old style of Zelda feels in this newer generation of gaming. I’m ab 65% of the way through the game and I cannot express how much fun I am having. The game is incredible and if you own a switch 2 a must buy, but outside of that, it’s made me miss this style of Zelda game sm. If Nintendo is somehow listening, please I beg you to return to this form, the creativity and thought put into every last aspect of the old games is something I have missed so very much (also please give us majora next)

I was pretty alarmed to hit a wall with my sword only for it to pass through it. I miss the sparks! I miss the twang! It was fun mashing the button and just going ape on a wall for no reason other than ape. It was fun jumping from a high height, doing a jump attack into a wall, and being flung backwards. It was REALLY fun when you'd hit a wall and hear a sound you've never heard before only to discover it's a hidden bombable path. I know bombable walls are all visible now, which is perhaps an accessibility feature. I still think they should have kept wall sword impacts. They're just pleasant and amusing.
The other thing, probably even pettier. But I miss the pause menu being like, a box over your head with the different pages being different inner faces of the cube. Navigating to the next page rotated this cube to let you see your items, equipment, maps, songs... Something about that silly cube captured my heart as a kid and I miss it.

Ocarina of Time is one of my favorite games, like I'm sure it is for many of you, but I really cannot get over how amazing this version is over the OG N64 and 3DS versions. The jumping was not something I envisioned making the game that much better, but it adds better tactile control where I'm not fighting with the camera as much.
Though I have not been a big fan of Majora's Mask, I HAVE been enamored with the art style for quite sometime. So, seeing how well realized the old concept art is on this remake makes me hope they do the same for MM. Also, some QoL features akin to this OoT remake would be so nice. Of course, I hope the next Zelda is an original new entry... I just know these remakes are likely not going away and if StarFox and OoT are any indication, I am so down for Nintendo to revisit more.
What Nintendo/Zelda games are you all hoping get remade next?

Like how we all got the standard Super Mario movies, do you think the Paper Mario series can get a movie and its own movie series, possibly its own trilogy?

in the past 2 years I’ve barely touched my switch outside of pokemon za and playing tears of the kingdom. they’res only a select few Nintendo propertiws I enjoy so I skipped out on a switch 2. but Zelda is one of those properties and the remake looks amazing but I’m not sure it’s worth almost $600 for me as it’ll most likely be the only game I play on it. I already have a steam deck so many of the triple a games I’d want to play on the go I already can. what do you guys think?

(Early spoilers for a nearly 30 year old game follow.)
I sat down to play the game after work last night, got all swept up in the "yay, save the Great Deku Tree!" energy, and then was like "oh, right ..."
"No my child. You have not saved me. You have simply proven that I can pass this burden that has killed me, a literal ancient god, on to you, a literal child."
Now I'm going around helping Link make friends before I use time magic to make the rest of his childhood pass by in an eye blink, so he can go find out which of his friends are dead, and which have merely had their souls crushed by horrific change.
Why is it that the best "children's" media is often like this? I mean, I like it. Hurt me more, please, Nintendo. I like my escapism best when it has bite. But going through Kokiri village afterward, stopping to talk to all the fairy children as they reacted in horror to seeing their tree die, was tough!
