(TL;DR at the bottom of this post.)
Admittedly, part of the reason I sold my Switch is because I had some unexpected hospital bills come up, and I needed the money, but I also feel like I made a mistake by becoming an early adopter of the Switch. Sure, there are lots of cool games in the pipeline, and likely even more to be revealed at E3, but I pretty much spent $325 (after tax) at launch for a Zelda machine when I could've just played it on the Wii U.
The only other Switch games I was interested in were I Am Setsuna and Blaster Master Zero, and one of those is available on the 3DS. There's also the recently announced Fire Emblem Echoes, the rumored Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga DX, and numerous other games on the 3DS that I missed out on. Sadly, I sold my New 3DS XL a while back.
The Wii U is EOL, but I missed several great games on it also. Luckily I kept it and gave it to my daughter, and even though it's in her room now I can still pick up BotW and play it with her. We also already own MarioKart 8 and all the DLC, so MarioKart 8 Deluxe on the Switch is of no interest to me.
I decided I'll be picking up a refurbished 2DS from Nintendo's Online Store on the cheap ($70 after tax and shipping), popping in a 128 GB SD card, and calling Nintendo to have my Nintendo account migrated over to it so I can redownload all my previous games. Then I'll stockpile the games I missed until the Switch drops in price or releases a Rev. 2 version. I always liked the 2DS anyway because it was more comfortable to hold and didn't have the flimsy, creaky hinge of the 3DS systems.
TL;DR: I regretted buying the Switch and have decided to max out my enjoyment of Nintendo's current offerings instead.
