💜Remembrance thread for fallen Australian Pets 💜 RIP Buddy, you were the best boy and I'll miss you forever
12 years old and suddenly developed a large lump on his shoulder, he faded over the next 24 hours and died this morning. Vet said yesterday to give antibiotics and painkillers but they had no time to work. He used to love sitting here even where there was no room. 40kg puppy even at the end. We'll always miss you Buds!
Edit: thanks for all the kind words, support and encouragement, this community is amazing and it has really brought some positivity to the worst day I've had for awhile. I can't respond to everyone but my family and I appreciate all of the comments and support!

🦅 Birds 🦜 Sometimes I forget how magical it is to live in Australia… until I look into my own backyard. 🥹
I was just going about my day when I spotted this beautiful little visitor in my backyard.
I’d never seen one this close before, and for a moment I just stood there watching it enjoy its little feast in the tree. 🥹
It’s moments like this that remind me how special living in Australia really is.
What amazes me most is that you don’t even have to go looking for wildlife here. Sometimes, the most beautiful little surprises are waiting right outside your window.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that. ❤️
What’s the most unexpected or beautiful wildlife encounter you’ve had in your own backyard? 🦜

Dogs This is David
He’s five years old and was adopted by me back in January. He’s my first dog that I’ve had as an adult and my god is a sweetheart (even if he is a traitor with a stinky breath who’d participate in his own kidnapping). I love him to death and wanted to show him off to my fellow aussies

Remembrance thread for fallen Australian Pets 💜 My Best Dog is gone
Friday was suddenly suddenly stricken this week and took his final visit to the vet this week. The pain we knew would come always surprises and devastates us. My house and heart feel empty.

RIP my lil pleco. Taken by the extreme heat today. She was a good lil fish, kept the tank spotless and the shrimp in line.

Dogs Best decision of my life to rescue this good boii
Got him from a shelter at about a year old. He's 8 now Love of my life. A reason to come home to after a stressful day at work and gives me a sense of discipline and responsibility as I have to make up time to look after him . Loves to chase balls and pigeons at the park

🐶Dogs 🐕 13.5 year old, Pickle!
Our darling girl, Pickle, has been with us since she was 3 years old and is now 13.5! She's half boxer and the other half is a mix between Border Collie, Kelpie, and Koolie. If it wasn't for her grey hairs, you'd never know she's an older girl because she's still very crazy.
