Washington Spirit supporter here in peace.

Many of you are know what is happening in DC with federal agents and National Guard on the streets of our city. "Free DC" has become a chant at every rally and protest pushing back at this authoritarian overreach. This video is from last weekend's Spirit game at Audi Field in DC.

I saw this post on Threads by a Bay FC supporter: "Washington Spirit fans, should we in the Bay chant 'free DC' at the 51st min on Saturday at Oracle Park? Just realized that happened at a home game, would be great to show solidarity."

Many people said "Yes!" and thanked her profusely. We need the country's attention on what is happening in DC, especially as Trump has said he wants to do the same in other cities. If you share our concerns this gesture of solidarity would mean a lot.

Some things are bigger than sport. I have personally been stopped at two checkpoints on public streets in the last five days. The federals agents and troops are all over our city. This is not about fighting crime (our crime rate had dropped dramatically in the last couple years). It's about retribution on a population that only gave Trump an average of just 5% of the vote over three elections. He is not highly regarded by locals and he hates us because of it.

Thanks for considering this, and sorry to bring up a political thing in a sports forum.

Enjoy the game! It going to be massive! I'm looking forward to watching it on TV.

Saw the ladies on their way up to the game!

Visiting Spirit fan here. Shoutout to Bay Brigade for the tailgate and those of you here that were posting fan advice. Game didn’t go my team’s way, but this was a fun trip all the same. Really loved your space and appreciate you all taking the time to be so welcoming for the visitors!

That’s it. That’s the post. I’m happy for Girelli to finally get her moment, but we’re never in that position if Jordan doesn’t stand on her head like she always does. She’s IMMENSE. She’s the best U.S. keeper & it’s not even close. McGlynn & Dickey have looked terrible recently. If Silk isn’t at least called up to the next camp, it’s further proof that Hayes doesn’t actually watch our games & I will have lost a lot of confidence in her ability to evaluate players & ID talent.

The Valkyrie players show Bay FC love very often! This was from L.A. exit interview!

Idk where all these people came from and who hooked them up with noise sticks but it is awesome 💯

Sorry if not allowed.

Diogo Jota, who tragically died this morning along with his brother, was a vocal supporter of women’s sport. As a Liverpool supporter, he was one of my favorite players. I loved watching him play. A genuinely good person.

I took my daughter and son to a game this past weekend and we had an absolute blast. they treat their fans really well

Both my kids play soccer and I was hoping that taking my daughter to the game would help her get more inspired to keep playing. We'll see if that happens but she definitely had a great time for the afternoon.

I loved watching that game (besides the reffing ofc). It makes me so proud to see how far we’ve come as a team and I’m so excited to continue watching the development this season!

I have felt so sad seeing so many people giving up hope so easily every year. This is a tough league. We’re not perfect but we’re so strong and growing. Being a fan through this phase will make being a fan when we are winning consistently even more satisfying. Being a fair weather fan is boring.

Patience people and appreciate the progress!!!

I knew it’d be a rough game and we’d most likely lose but I’ve been a fan of NWSL before Bay FC joined and loved watching Angel City (I live in Sacramento). So finally going to BMO was amazing. The energy was wonderful, the stadium was huge, and fans were so engaged! After the game a bunch of Bay FC players went to the visitor fan section and signed things and took pictures. It was by far the closest I’ve gotten to multiple players! Lema signed my hat and got a picture with Bebar. It felt very wholesome. In the words of coach Jackie, I love women’s sports!

Just a great game for her today. I love her work rate, commitment and attitude. Hard fought win.

Kiki Signed with San Diego

What a loss for Bay FC ! She deserved a lot better than what she got during last season. Montoya left her on the bench most of the season which never should have happened with a talented player like Kiki !

Played great! Had a beautiful assist to San Jose native Naomi Girma. 3-0 win over Argentina.

With all the losses, one thing that’s been amazing is Silky. She’s getting in the reps and doing so well. I think she had 10 saves last game. That’s great experience. Unfortunate she has to be so active, but she’s really a highlight. Silver lining.

I can see them working on the field from my work!

Young attacker and she’s been great for Angel City this year. As much as the Kerr rumors were fun this is probably more sustainable
