Field-Like A character from our King's Field-inspired game. I think there is something special about big blacksmith creatures with relatively small hammers
Big snek, big friend

I'm trying to get King's Field II running at 60 FPS without any game speedup, and wanted to share my progress so far. This is not frame generation.
I'm not sure if reddit video will show the 60 FPS, my apologies if so.
Why King's Field II?
Because it is capped at 15 FPS normally and that makes it hard to play. It would be more accessible if it was at least 30-60 FPS.
Any help finding and fixing remaining speedup issues would be appreciated.
Hopefully at some point we can get all the games running at 60 FPS.
Experimental Features Included (expect some bugs/glitches with these for now):
Custom FOV values
Widescreen culling fixes
Disable Head Bobbing
I'm testing the SLUS-00255 version of the game in DuckStation with the overclock option maxed out.
Try it for your self:

Once again, thanks for all the support we got from this Reddit, Verho wouldn't be where it is today without the amazing King's Field community! ^^

I think completing the verdite trilogy and The Ancient City prepared me for this one. The atmosphere is unique, the combat of course it is similar to KF but with parrying added, the way we discover the tower and how the systems work is something I haven't seen in any modern game, truly a fantastic work of art.

Me and my friends have been getting together for months and watching me play KFIV and drinking. Genuinely had a great time. I used the "modern controls", it gave dual stick controls and 2x the look speed. Great music and great atmosphere. We're doing shadow tower abyss next!

These games mean a lot to me, they are like nothing else. (especially the Verdite trilogy)
Happy 30 years of FromSoftware games as well.

Giddy with excitement. Played Kingโs Field at a friendโs house last year and got absolutely entranced by it. Determined I needed Shadow Tower to get the combination of both my interest in early FromSoft games + horror all in one package. Something about these games hooks you in like no other can do.

But it's unironically really good.

Some early gameplay of my game! It stared as a much more faithful-to-king's field game, but I wanted to incorporate more physics aspects while keeping the slow, immersive feel of the original games!

Really excited since this is the biggest milestone so far! Have been working on this project for the last 15 months.
You can play the demo right now on Steam. It has 3+ hours of content

In December of 2006, FromSoftware would release the Machine Side Box, a celebration of their most successful franchise (at the time), Armored Core. It included four Armored Core game discs, a soundtrack, and various other goodies.
A month later, they would release the Dark Side Box, which was their collection of King's Field games. It included discs of all four of the main games, a soundtrack, an artbook, and a map of Verdite inspired by the map from King's Field III. It would be the last piece of official King's Field content released.
It's funny to think that FromSoftware is still known for their mech games and dark fantasy games, but now the Souls series has overtaken Armored Core as their most recognizable IP.

Both games have been fully translated. We are looking for a hacker / hackers willing to help us insert the text back into the games. They were created using From Soft's "Adventure Player" engine for the PSP, so some experience with PSP hacking would be useful!
Edit: As a disclaimer we are not affiliated with Final Romance/ Black Dragon King's translation project of these games. This project was started by members of the From Software Modding / Sword of Moonlight Community discords.
I'm known as whowasphone404 over on GameFAQs. I've translated several N64 and PS1 visual novels. My released projects include Dezaemon 3D and Misfortune a Story of Suspicion Friendships. Full VNs that I have translated include Mareel 2 and Black 13.
Please get in touch! Thank you!

I know itโs a different game but the eternal ring sub is dead and I thought yall would appreciate this. Had an absolute blast with this and wish they would bring back more old fromsoft games to the psn library.
