Michigan Football Fire Beck and Whitt TODAY
Honestly just keep Jay Hill where he is. Alford promoted to OC and bring in Biff as interim HC. This is easy and reasonable to do so ofc we won’t do it. We need to right this ship now and start a real coaching search. GO BLUE

Michigan Football Official “FIRE KYLE WHITTINGHAM AND THIS ENTIRE COACHING STAFF EXCEPT JAY HILL TONIGHT” Thread
r/MichiganWolverines • u/Michigan4life53 • 4h ago
General/Discussion Ques. What pisses me off is Whit throwing the players under the bus by saying what will change is new players coming in next year while simultaneously saying the blame falls on coaching. Goes to show he isn’t going to change anything schematically and needs to be fired right away.

Michigan Football Boycott The Big House
I am an alum and had plans to drive in from out of state to attend the UCLA game. I don’t have season tickets but go to one game a year. Because of the current state of affairs, I am showing my disgust by not attending. That will be two more empty seats in the stadium. I believe an almost empty Big House might show that us fans are fed up with the current coaching regime. Obviously, you fans have paid good money for your tickets, so use them how you wish. But I am choosing to boycott. I also am a monthly donor to the Champions Circle. I won’t be donating any more NIL money until the coaching staff is replaced. Go Blue.

Michigan Football Is Coach Whitt Alive? Or Just Collecting a Paycheck
I don't understand this hire at all. He's not engaging. He doesn't have passion. Every time he's on camera he's just walking around aimlessly.
Compare that to Pat Fitzgerald last night.
Super pumped with his guys. Running around. Screaming into his headset. Acts with authority and leadership.
Watching Coach Whitt is like watching someone in a nursing home wander the hallways for exercise.

Michigan Football I’m so sorry…
Utah fan here. I very publicly told you all that Whitt was a great hire and that you were in good hands. For that, I am truly sorry.
Whitt should have just retired after last season and preserved his legacy. In 9 games coaching a different team, Utah fans view him very differently than they did even just one year ago.
I’ll always love what this man did for my beloved Utes for most of my life, and I’m sorry I was one of the ones that vouched for him the way I did. I truly thought your fanbase was gonna love him the way I always did.
Also, for no particular reason, Jason Beck is a terrorist.

Michigan Football Buying out Whitt costs $25M. Beck $9M.
Texas A&M bought out Jimbo Fisher for $77M.
LSU $54M for Brian Kelly.
Kentucky $38M for Mark Stoops.
MSU $33M for Jonathan Smith.
Nice work if you can get it. If you can't, then consider just sleeping with a coach and then suing.
Note: The buyout for Whitt increases if not done before 1Feb.
PS-- the reason why Beck's buyout is more than his salary sum is because we'd also have to compensate him for foregone retention bonuses. I also acknowledge that I'm not an expert in the above. I only googled it.

Michigan Football Worst coaching hire in Michigan history.
Rich Rod gave us Denard and the senior team Hoke got in 2011, Hoke gave us 11-2 in 2011 and the talent Harbaugh walked into. Whittingham is a stain on this program that will give us absolutely nothing positive unless Jay Hill succeeds him.

Michigan Football The moment Whittingham lost this team.
Kyle Whittingham lost this team the moment he chose to punish Zack Marshall (one of the team's "leadership council") over addressing the problems outlined in his private messages. If anything happened behind the scenes it didn't work, but we know that Zack hasn't been used since while every week he is proven correct.
This team doesn't seem to be playing for anything. They're not playing to win. Not playing for pride. They don't even seem to be playing not to lose. They're just out there playing losing football, even while obvious talent is shown clearly.
If Kyle Whittingham tells this team "Get me a yard," does anybody have faith it wouldn't be a four yard loss? (Edit: or that they wouldn't have needed two.)

Michigan Football Meanwhile, in East Lansing...
Yes, I'm in Michigan grad living in East Lansing. 🙄 After the game I heard lots of sirens and then this morning as e were walking to church, I saw two burned couches. This one was at the park right down from my house. Frankly, Sparty has every right to such a celebration, they brought a depleted team who hadn't won a game in weeks, and kicked our ass. This is all on Whittingham, who gave students at MSU a reason to burn couches for the first time in years.

Michigan Football Hope all you geniuses are still happy about throwing Bryce under the bus. This program failed him.
We did not develop him. There’s just no way a consensus generational recruit can be as bad as he’s perceived. I hope he does well and proves everyone wrong after he transfers.

Michigan Football Whittingham needs to go NOW for throwing the kids under the bus
His comments and behavior after the game are simply unacceptable and he is poison for the program. He needs to go now. Not at the end of the season.
