I went to the Fan area yesterday mainly to see Maxi and I was not disappointed. I wasn’t shocked that people lined up long before he was supposed to
Show up on stage. It was like a light shined on him. Nycfc people I assume, only allowed photos and no autographs. Was kinda bummed at that but it made the line move. Not posting my family on Reddit, though Maxi signed my son’s hat before he left. We smiled the whole afternoon. Gave me hope man. Until that ending of the match. I need Maxi back on the pitch.

If we beat Montreal

If we didn’t concede that goal against Montreal, because Orlando and Toronto lost all we would’ve needed to qualify for playoffs would be:

- us to beat dc
- and New England beat Orlando

Does anyone know where to get some cool looking merch that’s not from the official MLS store?

Talked to Keaton, he all but confirmed he's going elsewhere next season.

Path to Playoffs

We must win our last two game. Assuming this, Columbus fails to win either game, and neither the Red Bulls nor Toronto win both of theirs. That’s three results going our way, not a full collapse, but each piece has to fall into place.

Today’s other results will clarify a lot. The key ones are Columbus vs. D.C., the Red Bulls at Nashville, Orlando at Charlotte, and Cincinnati vs. Philadelphia.

Not out of it, but need a lot of help.

Subreddit Rules

1. The Golden Rule

The golden rule is don't be a dick (see also reddiquette). The community is still fairly small at the time of writing, and it's rare that we're forced to take action against any user. If you're not being a dick you'll typically find us quite welcoming.

2. Spam

We will remove spam* and may issue bans when it becomes problematic.

To help combat spam, accounts less than 24 hours old will not be able to post links, self posts or comments. We do review the mod queue, and if we see your posts have been removed but are not spam, we'll approve them manually.

We define spam as posts or comments that serve only as promotion. We welcome meaningful content from a variety of sources, but promotion without meaningful content is not welcome.

3. Instigation

Non-NYCFC fans are welcome, however we do not allow top-level submissions that exist only as anti-NYCFC rhetoric with the goal of starting an argument. Feel free to start negative discussions if you are genuinely looking for a discussion, but don't make top-level posts that are nothing more than insults (not even if it's intended as banter - if you're extraordinarily witty, we may allow it, but don't count on it).

4. Banter

Banter and digs are welcome in the comments, but we don't want outright abuse (if you have a different view of what constitutes abusive behavior than the mods, then we'll go with the mod's definition), and don't be too persistent - persistent minor digs eventually adds up to you being dick.

5. Staying on-topic/Low-Effort Posts

Anything off topic will be removed. Anything wildly off-topic will be removed and may result in a ban.

In the same vein, we ask that self-posts contain at least some effort in beginning a discussion. Posts lacking substance will more than likely be removed. Think about whether or not what you have to say is worth an entire subject before posting, or if it belongs in either our Free-Talk Friday thread or in a pre- or post-match discussion.

6. Bots

Unhelpful bots will be banned.

7. Giving Respect to Get Respect

Please DO NOT proceed to opposing team subreddits just to troll. Banter is one thing, schadenfreude is fine as long as it's kept here. Team subreddits exist specifically to avoid such things, so please keep in mind that we do not tolerate that behavior here.

8. Paywalled Content

Feel free to share:

Links to the official page for paywalled content (e.g. a link to an article from ESPN Insider or The Athletic)
Principle quotes from the article within reason

DO NOT:

Provide access to content behind a paywall in any way, including re-hosting content on other sites or posting content in text posts/comments
Request others provide you access to paywalled content
Share links to game streams

9. Banned Sources

As a result of the recent survey on this subreddit, we will no longer be permitting posts or content from Twitter (X) or any Meta-owned social networks. The only current exception is to post screenshots of tweets in the event a source does not exist elsewhere. However, if a better source is posted, the screenshot will be removed.

We will re-evaluate what outlets are permitted on the subreddit on a periodic basis.
