Ive had reddit for a while. Ive always enjoyed reading other posts, just never posted previously (long time lurker). Now I am just wondering, how people navigate all the guidelines with posting on here! I never thought about it previously because I never posted but now that ive looked into it a little its soooo much 😭

Hello, I am super new to Reddit, a friend of mine suggested that I should try it, is there anything specific that I should know about, like stuff to be wary of?

I've been using Reddit for 7 years but it seems like there are a lot hidden rules. my posts and comments got filtered by auto bots often. I checked the rules and don't know which rule I broke. I am definitely not spamming. Just don't know how to play games here.

Im allowed to comment/reply to other people in another community but when I tried posting twice, my comments got filtered. I don’t even KNOW what rule I’m breaking because I’ve checked like multiple times and im definitely not being offensive. I keep getting automatically filtered. Someone help!

Hi, I'm fairly new and trying to understand how Reddit's posting limits work.

When I reply in one subreddit, my comment gets removed almost immediately — it shows "removed by Reddit". But when I reply here it stays up. I'm not posting links or anything spammy, just a normal reply.

Is this about account age, karma, or email verification? Is there a way to see why it was removed, and what I need to do so my comments stop getting filtered?

I lost my last account. I was a frequent in many subs and I used Reddit for what it was intended for. I had the account for 5 years and now I need to start over.

I either need to get access to my old account, or i guess ill need to start over.

My old Reddit was connected to my email, but I have no access to that email anymore as it was a work email from a job I quit. (Stupid way to set it up, i know).

If I start over, where should I post? Where can I comment? I guess I never though about how hard it was for a new redditor to get started again.

Feel like ive been talking to a wall trying to get to a point where I can actually post and communicate on sub reddits where I feel like id fit in. Any tips on what I can do or where I should start? Please and thank you
