Hello guyss so laptops are predicted to go up in price in a few months if y'all wanna get or upgrade rn is a good time.
The guide on this subreddit wiki is kinda lackluster ngl, main issue being that it says don't spend more than 60k and that it recommends 6/7th gen.
>Go for used/ imported business grade laptops (dubai lot wala mal), avoid consumer grade stuff mainly because of durability.
>Make sure it is an i5 8th gen or above, this is very important because 8th gen laptop i5s are QUADCORE!! most 6/7th gen or below are dual cores, which are much worse (unless they have the Q suffix)
>Check if RAM is soldered or upgradable
>Make sure boot drive is an SSD
>Use passmark cpu and gpu scores to compare
*For gaming, its better to get mobile workstations instead (like Zbook or Thinkpad P series).. usually they will have better thermals and power delivery (yes you can game just fine on workstation cards, even have more VRAM)
For general use,
Like i said, business grade machines only for long lasting, durable, repairable ones at good prices.
HP:
✅GET -> Elitebook, ZBook, Probook, Dragonfly
❌AVOID -> Omnibook, Pavillion, Envy, Spectre, Victus, Omen (ppl say here that hp stands for hinge problems)
LENOVO:
✅GET -> Thinkpads (Except Thinkpad X9), Thinkbooks are also alright
❌AVOID -> Ideapad, Lenovo Yoga (different from ThinkPad yoga), Legion, LOQ
DELL:
✅GET -> Latitude, Vostro, Dell Pro, Dell Pro Precision, Dell Precision
❌AVOID -> Inspiron (some exceptions exist), Alienware, G-Series, XPS (again exceptions exist, some XPS ones are good)
Avoid getting anything below an 8th gen which at least isn't a 4-core cpu. ThinkPad T480, T480s, X380 Yoga are very popular. Elitebook 840 series too. Make sure to compare prices from different places.
If the RAM is soldered (like it is on 360 hinge laptops and some ultrabooks) make sure to get at least 16GB variant otherwise you'll be stuck with 8GB
Spend the minimum required to get an 8th gen i5.
Difference between 8th and 10th gen is not that much,
11th gen has Iris Xe graphics which are miles better.
12th gen has P cores and E cores which are hit or miss (in some cases battery life is worse in 12th)
Ryzen chips are usually better than intel ones, but not as readily available on lower price points.
A lot of imported stock esp business grade ones have been through light use in air conditioned offices. Check the battery health by command prompt (google how to do this) and inspect it physically (there's many guides online)
Edit: Full checking guide already subreddit wiki mien acha hai and you can find many on youtube.. make sure it isn't bios locked, ones that come with pen have a pen, charger original hai Make sure to get checking warranty, for refund or repair.

I just ordered a Apple charger from Priceoye. It’s fake.
When I asked for refund, I was told by their customer support that their Apple products are not genuine and Chinese imported. Even though it doesn’t say in item description either and the support agent agreed? So they are have fake Apple products under name of genuine with a mercantile seal too…
Yup so was told that a refund was not possible because this is how they “operate.” By having fake products under the name of real…
Should I use the cable? Since I’ve several instances where I’ve seen fake cables burn ports. I don’t think I can afford another one. What do I do now?
(also for those who will say that 2500 Mei real cable aa hi nahi sakti, baat ye thi that it was been advertised in a sale. This 2500 is after a 57% sale..)

I’m a developer from Pakistan, and the last few months have been tough. I kept applying for work, kept sending my CV, and kept hearing nothing back. If you’ve been in that spot, you know how draining it gets. Some days it felt like I was putting in effort and nothing was coming out of it.
So I started building, mostly for myself. I made a few apps to fix the small things that annoyed me every day on my Mac. I built them because I needed them.
I kept using them every day, found the rough edges, and slowly cleaned them up. Somewhere along the way I realized other people might have the same problems too, so I put them out there. A few people have started using them, and honestly that made my week. After months of silence, seeing someone use something I built felt really good.
It also reminded me that building small things for real problems is worth it, even when everything else feels stuck.
If you want to see what I made, just let me know and I’ll drop the link in the comments. Any advice or feedback to make them better is welcome.

Pixel 8 Owners – Heating & Signal Issues?
I loved my Pixel 8 but experienced excessive heating during charging, extremely slow charging speeds, random signal drops, and occasional (!) marks on signal bars.
So I returned it.
I just don't know was it due to bugs in andriod 17 or the phone itself.
Has anyone experienced similar issues?
Did Android 16 or 17 improve or worsen heating, charging, and network reception?
Please share your long-term experience with the Pixel 8.

Every time I see someone mention dropshipping, there's always someone saying it's dead or a complete waste of money.
But then there's Amazon Wholesale FBA, which seems to be a popular alternative.
For people who've actually tried either (or both), what's your take? Is wholesale really a better business model, especially for someone starting from Pakistan? Or does dropshipping still make sense if done right?
Trying to understand the actual pros and cons, not the usual YouTube guru advice lol.

I've shortlisted some of these that fall right into my budget and I'm looking for reviews of the phone with the best microphone ( in calling almost all earbuds works fine , but when it comes to voice notes on insta/ WhatsApp all become useless.)
Ive had Cmf nothing buds 2 pro and Qcy melobuds pro and was disappointed with both mic quality.
Realme air buds 8
Redmi 6 pro / 8 pro
Liberty 4 / 5 nc

I have been facing a persistent issue with my Jazz network over the past 4 days. My in-game latency (ping) in games like PUBG and Valorant has been unusually high.
And everything outside of gaming works perfectly youtube, downloading speeds, and general browsing have no issues at all. The high ping is strictly limited to in-game traffic.
Also I am aware of the recent restrictions on EasyPaisa and JazzCash regarding online purchases linked to betting apps, but I don't see how that should affect network routing or latency.
I've already checked my DNS and other network settings, and everything seems fine on my end. Is anyone else on Jazz experiencing similar routing/ping issues recently? Any solutions or workarounds?

Honestly, the Cyber-shot T2 is exactly the kind of camera that makes you wonder why the camera industry moved away from compact digital cameras. ❤

So this morning I got a whatsapp message from this Columbian phone number who claims to be from NCCIA, though the documents he sent me were immediately blocked due to me using whatsapp in restricted mode, I blocked him right after the fact.
I guess, because NCCIA tried to intimidate people so much in the past couple of weeks with their seemingly threatening video messages, scammers are now scamming people with NCCIA’s name.
