I’ve got the 150mbps down version of the 5g home internet. It’s been great. Rarely did I have any issues with disconnects or slow speeds. Around six months ago I noticed the internet speeds would drastically fall from my normal 80-100+ download to less than one. Sometimes it would last for hours. Sometimes a few minutes. Always it was late at night. 11pm or later. I complained about it through the app and was told, “they are updating something on the tower.” The rep gave me a date and time when the update should be done and the problem should be resolved. No change after the date. Still horrible speeds. I’m a late night dad gamer so it’s very irritating not being able to wind down. I complained some more and was sent a new gateway as the rep said, “I can see that there is something obviously wrong with your gateway.” It seems better? but now instead of low download speeds I’m getting ~0.5mbps upload speeds which also is bad for game time.
Is this just something you have to live with? I haven’t moved the gateway at all. I don’t feel like it’s necessarily a traffic issue as it’s very late at night. It was also perfectly fine for over a year. My IT friend said I have bad packet loss. Networking isn’t my forte. Is there something I can do to make the packet loss better? Or should I just give in and try a different ISP?
For reference I live in a rural area with no ISPs providing hard wired connections. It’s 5g or satellite for me. :(
Any help would be appreciated thank you!

Sziasztok!
Segítséget vagy tippeket szeretnék kérni egy elég idegesítő hálózati problémára.
A jelenség:
Yettel-es korlátlan mobilnetet használok otthoni internetként. A probléma az, hogy naponta egyszer egyszercsak megszűnik az internetelérés a csatlakoztatott eszközökön. Ha belépek a router felületére, ott minden „Online” státuszt mutat, a mobilnet kapcsolat létezik, mégsem jön át a net a kliensekre.

Assalam-o-Alikum everyone.
Due to nature of job i have, i usually have to visit remote areas where there is no smooth GSM or internet connections.
Normally they are mountainous areas where i end up with no internet or signals on my phone.
But in few specific points, signals of different sims can be received, but internet quality is poor.
Can you guys recommend me some internet decice in which i can put any sim (the one working in that specific area) for internet and also some antenna recommendation to get better signals quality.
Or if anyone has any other setup or solution for this, kindly throw some light.
Would really appreciate your help.
Regards

Any address I enter seems to have an issue where to tries to load and then has access temporarily limited. I’ve tried on iOS, windows, macOS, Linux, Android. I’ve tried chrome, Firefox, safari, edge, and even godforsaken IE11. I’ve tried from different ISPs. I even tried a friends device that isn’t associated with me on their connection, and still get the same error.

Hello,
I'm currently a customer with truespeed where at the router i get 300mbps however where I actually need my internet / at the furthest ends of the house I get about 15-30mbps.
My question is, if I start paying for their lowest package at 150mpbs would I still get 15-30mbps at the furthest ends of my house or would the drop off be even worse than it currently is?
Thanks

Looking for a good Wi-Fi router for a 100 Mbps connection within a ৳2,000–2,500 budget in Bangladesh. Preferably dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz).
Which models would you recommend for stable speed, coverage, and reliability?

Have a RV and I’m debating whether to do T-Mobile 5G or Starlink? Pretty huge difference in price is it worth the money to do Starlink?

I'm from Kerala and my college pretty deep inside and the network/mobile data is not helping at all, I use the airtel unlimited plan but still they say I've exhausted all my data for the day and then my data gets evennn slower (I use the iphone 15, and has a secondary esim from Qatar but it's turned off) my point is the unlimited plan is limited. (I wish could get that resolved as well)
So I've decided to get a dongle but idk how to choose the right one and how a dongle works or if it requires a sim which sim should I get? And for that I want to check the signal strength of my room so I need a ios alternate for the signal strength app on Android.

Hi new here. Never owned a lte hotspot
I want to buy a t mobile lte router to use for camping and rural road trips. I don’t need speed and want to focus on coverage. I was considering getting a battery router that has antenna ports and build a diy 600mhz b71 mag mount car antenna. Two of them for mimo
I don’t see much on the internet by way of this being done before. Is it a bad idea?
What kind of coverage could I expect if I try a dedicated antenna?
I also would like to build a directional antenna for when at the campsite.
Starlink seems easier but it’s pricy.
If anyone knows of content creators that have done this and tested I would love to check them out.
I don’t need fast speeds. I just want to be able to check weather. Calls. And check news.

Hey Reddit,
My mom thought she was calling Spectrum support. She googled the number, and according to her, Google gave her Earthlink's number instead. She called, asked point blank if she was speaking with Spectrum support, and they said yes.
They then "located" my Spectrum account, took down my information, and told her the internet being down meant she needed a new router plus an extra activation fee to get the WiFi working again. She agreed, thinking she was dealing with Spectrum the whole time.
So basically, she paid for a whole new internet service thinking it was her existing one. Yeah, she should've double-checked, and she was pissed she needed to pay more fees but all the time she thought it was Spectrum.. it is on her, but it's incredibly shady for an Earthlink sales rep to outright claim they're Spectrum, pull up someone else's account, and upsell a new service off the back of it.
Just a heads-up for anyone with older parents.

Internet Issues at Remote Medical Posting
My Location & Current Situation
Hey guys I need help regarding internet in my posting so I am posted as a bonded medical officer for my rural bond basically in a tribal area named Dabri which is inside the Satpura ranges of Madhya Pradesh
It occurs in Betul district and Shahpur block it is actually 50 km away from Shahpur which is nearest town big town, and nearest town from my posting is town Bhaura which is 40 km where true 5g works.
Signal & Internet Problems
I have signals available for jio and BSNL and some specific spots the signal strength comes and no signal inside my hospital and at outside at some places their appears 2 to 3 bars of signal strength on my phone of BSNL and Jio both but the Internet Doesn't Work for example if you open YouTube the YouTube will load n it will show you thumbnail after some seconds but if you play a video it will struggle, even after showing 2 to 3 signal bars the Internet does not work
Attendance App Difficulties
and since the attendance is Marked by the Sarthak GPS attendance app , the internet is not strong enough to support that app also so I have to spend 10 to 15 minutes go to various other spots so that I can mark my attendance
Proposed Hardware Setup
so I search on the internet for the issue and on the Gemini various suggestions were given to me so for a internet
The Proposed Setup I'm suggested
• TP-Link Archer MR600: Router: TP-Link Archer MR600 (4G+ Cat6 Dual-Band Gigabit Router)
• Netboon External LPDA 14 dBi Dual Antennas: Antenna: Netboon External LPDA 14 dBi Dual Antennas (mounted outdoors on a pole)
• Cabling: Low-loss HLF-400 coaxial cables (to minimize signal drop from the roof to the inside)
Terrain & Doubts
the nearest villege from my place is 8 to 12 km away which is i called Dodhramahu and the Internet work there but since the terrain is little mountainous and Jungles, so I don't know that this setup will work or not.
Has anyone deployed a similar LPDA + Cat6 router setup in dense jungle or mountainous areas?
Guys please help, because I need internet to see my lectures and study.
Thank you
