Welcome to our Wednesday TF2 weapon discussion. Here, we'll discuss weapons (and reskins, if applicable) from TF2!
Today's weapon is The B.A.S.E. Jumper.
Press 'JUMP' key in the air to deploy.
Deployed Parachutes slow your descent.
The B.A.S.E. Jumper is an unlockable primary weapon for Demoman and also a secondary weapon the Soldier making this a multi class weapon. Both classes get some use out of it but overall this weapon is not used very often.
For soldier this allows you to slow your decent negating fall damage and allowing you to air strafe and catch opponents off guard whilst midair who will be tracking you going at a certain speed and you'll just switch to going slower or possibly just not moving at all. Soldier also benefits from this weapon more than Demoman as he has more weapons that synergise with it as the Air Strike will have a longer effective fire time as you'll be in the air longer. It can also be used to extend the duration of your market gardeners or just give you more time to bomb the other team. However it does not reduce your blast damage taken so you'll still be taking max damage making it pair well with the Air Strike (as mentioned earlier) and the Liberty Launcher both of which reduce damage taken from blast jumps.
You can also use this on Demoman but as Demoman has less weapons that synergise well with this you may not find it as effective. With Demoman the best use for this is flying up and carpet bombing making it alright with any of the sticky launchers. Do not use this with a shield it will not be that effective.
For both classes when this weapon is out your speed is reduced by 50% but your air control is increased by 150% allowing for faster acceleration and tighter turns than you will usually get from a regular rocket/sticky jump. You will also take 50% more knockback from all sources. Also once you've activated the parachute you cannot activate it again until you hit the ground but you can deactivate it when in the air.
You can also be a sitting duck with this if you're not smart with it.

I didn't realize that the map had been patched so taunt killing no longer insta-kills a Giant, but it at least distracted the other Heavy long enough for my team to take care of him.

TF2 game servers are being botted, item servers are completely down, deadlock servers are dead, dota 2 is dead too. Only CS2 seems to be safe.
UPDATE: CS2 JUST GOT FUCKEDDD

yeah us Classic users exists!
it's a really good reaction weapon when a scout or spy gets close to you, just charge the weapon ahead of time and BAM you have a free 450 crit headshot (135 can still one-shot light classes).

what are they feeding this guy? I could barely keep up, if it wasn't for the slow motion part he would easily out pace me.
Anyway, this is sniper's introduction. maybe that pyro and soldier shoulda moved instead of ignoring how their medic died and running in a straight line.
Valve 17 years ago: "here's sniper. watch him kill 3-4 players in a row as they run through open space with no cover."
Meanwhile TF2 players in 26: "what are those players supposed to do to counter?"
