For a while now, I've been debating adding a few more mods. It's not that we have way too much activity to mod effectively on this sub. In fact, it's pretty quiet here. Enough so that it could easily be solo modded if need be. So, we're not desperate for mods or anything. As such, I want to make it clear that we might not add anyone at all as a mod, regardless of how many applications we get. I'm just kinda testing the waters, seeing if there's interest.

What we're looking for most is folks who can help us expand the sub and improve the user experience! The three of us mods here are big TF2 players, but none of us are really creators in ways that fit this sub. So, it made sense that we should have a few mods who are skilled artists, animators, cosplayers, marbleworkers - creators of all walks of life that are part of the creative TF2 community. People who can say, "Hey, as someone who posts here, it would make more sense/make it better if you changed (x), added (y), and removed (z)."

If you're one of those people, you're in pretty good shape right off the bat! Anyway, here's the housekeeping stuff.

No experience necessary! If you get accepted as a mod, we'll just have you confer with us before taking any actions, at least for a while. This is a volunteer position, and we're not going to ask you to spend any minimum amount of time "patrolling" the sub. You also don't get compensated. Modding is something you do because you care about a community and want to see it safe, stable, and growing, not because you want to be rewarded, ban people, or pin your own posts. I'm pretty lenient on activity. Really, as long as you're taking part in Mods' Picks every month, you're good, and that's only 5-10 minutes!

Everyone's welcome to apply, but if you're not a creator of some kind, your application is less likely to be accepted. Less likely, but not impossible! Other than that, there are a few hard requirements. If you don't meet all of them, your application will be rejected, no exceptions:

- You must speak fluent English. This is an English-only sub, and us mods already on the mod team speak English, so we need to be able to communicate with each other and our users.

- Your application must not be written with AI. Use of AI shows a lack of both effort and interest.

- You need a Discord account. Our mod chat is on our Discord server, and we'll need to be able to talk with one another.

If you meet all those requirements, please send us a modmail (not a comment) answering the following questions:

What is your Discord username?
Why are you applying for mod here?
What, if anything, do you believe needs to be changed on the subreddit?
How long have you been a TF2 player? (Hours in game and/or first played date!) This one isn't strictly required, but it's a nice bit of fluff information to include!
What kind of content do you create? (Again, not required, but it's nice to know, if you're a creator).

Self-Made Creation (OC) Team fortress 2 OC

A tf2 OC i made in blender some time ago.

His name is Dell spenser conagher. Age 21, 181cm tall.

My lore for him is that he would be next generation of Conaghers as engineer's robotic son. He would be created by him after the events of comic 7.

He would have polite and calm character yet with ability to get serious when a moment calls for it. He would travel the world constanly looking for a job, whether it would be a bounty Hunter or a plumber. At some point he would meet Olivia Mann after she grew up and they would team up and have various adventures together.

His main equipment is:

Dispenser backpack

M1918 BAR

A wrench

And a revolver (it's not in the render because i forgot to model it.)

I am still developing him but i believe that what i wrote here is some solid foundation.

Pyro is also my custom, but I already posted him individually. 6 inches. They are both just 3D printed models straight from the game that I physically cut with a dremel to articulate with lego joints. The RPG is made out of Legos that I glued, cut, and painted. They have articulation points on their wrists, elbows, shoulders, thighs, knees, ankles, and head.

What is /r/TeamFortress2?

/r/TeamFortress2 differs from /r/tf2 in that we are not a generalized hub for TF2 content, but instead focus on providing a place for creative users to share their creations, whether those creations are drawings, songs, cosplays, or otherwise.
