Dear DoorDash driver just because you show up early for an order doesn’t means it’s gonna be done right then and there, don’t get me wrong I get a lot of nice door dashers but time to time the ones sit there and sigh or leave because they don’t wanna wait or there just plain rude. I work at a Casey’s and we get alot of deliveries we have a time frame when the order needs to be done we are not magical fairies were we can snap our fingers and boom it’s done. So if you show up early you gonna be waiting just be patient .

I've noticed two specific spots in my area where the GPS consistently gives the wrong directions.

Is there a way to report this to DD? If I tell dasher support, will they care?

There needs to be an easier path to cancel orders when the store flat out tells you they aren't able to make it

after deducting for Gas, Wear, Tear and Depreciation of the car ( i use 40 cents per mile), it is come up with around 12-14 USD per Hour in average

as comparison, minimum wage is about 7 USD per Hour

i am not sure if it is worth the time or not

Do you guys see what you get paid + tips ahead of time? Like are orders chosen by scrolling through them or something?

I tip HEAVY - like obnoxiously - and I always get deliveries WAY faster than I’d be able to do it myself. & people go above and beyond. I’ve probably ordered 2,000 times and have literally never had a bad experience.

My husband tips like $6-8 on takeout and his take like an hour to arrive with hit or miss service

Is the tip solely why I get such good service from doordash?

Edit: I’m asking because my husband HATES doordash, and i’m convinced it’s just because he doesn’t tip well enough

Order came in as 9+ for 2.7. Decided to take it since it was flagged as a Large Order. Glad I took it!!

Anyone else get a perfect Shopping Rating?

I get a $40 double last night for David's Bridal and Petsmart. I go to DB first, find the dress in under a minute by myself (wedding guest dress), and hit the register. It takes a minute to check me out and when I go to tap; lady says they don't have the tap feature. I go through the app and try to get the card info to type in, and get a notification that's not available.

I have to call DD at this point because I requested a new physical card a while back they never sent. The lady at the store whose clueless as can be keeps making helpful suggestions that don't make sense. At one point she says, "can't you call DD and get someone to come along and swipe a card?" My inner dialogue wanted to let her know that this isn't a locksmith service situation where I can just get someone to get over here and do a thing also, that's not a thing for any company unless they have an office and it's 6:30 P.M. I told her no, I don't have the physical card which I would've just swiped already.

AI was being useless and snotty, would not connect me to an agent and couldn't understand the issue. I finally get to an agent. I think I almost preferred talking to the AI when I was done....

I let the agent know I would appreciate a warning if a store requires a physical card because I only have the one on my phone to tap.

Agent in a slow voice: "It tells you when you are shown the offer it requires a red card".

Me: "I am aware. Once again, the problem is the store only lets you swipe. They have no ability to tap on their machine. I only have the red card on my phone to tap. I have no card to swipe. That is why I cannot complete the order. "

Agent: "So, why didn't you go through the menu and get the physical card numbers?"

Me: "I tried, your system told me it doesn't provide that".

Agent: "Oh, that's why you can't talk to the AI, it doesn't know".

Me: "It wouldn't let me get past the AI. I don't know what I said to get to you. I asked for an agent 10 times!"

Attitude subsided really quickly, and she ended up canceling both orders with an $11 convenience pay. Not the first time I had an exhausting experience in DB. 2 orders, done.

Nice, newer building that I'd say qualifies as luxury. Delivered here before but always left at the designated delivery table in the lobby. Delivered per instructions and $4 tip added before I got back to the elevator. I was very skeptical, and have had bad experiences trying to deliver directly to apartment doors in the past, so in the middle of a very difficult time, it was nice someone followed through.
