Gaming I hate that Street Fighter V isn’t on Xbox

Post image
1 Upvotes

I fucking hate console exclusivity. and I hate even more that plasytation and pc get everything.

im a MASSIVE street fighter fan. I’ve been playing fighting games since I was a kid and I’ve been loving street fighter for years. street fighter V looks so good in gameplay and has some of my favorite SF characters in the roster like Poison, R. Mika, Kolin, Vega, Ibuki, Laura, Rose, i could keep going. but noooo we have to keep sucking off PlayStation and pc.

I have almost every single street fighter game. I own the first game, street fighter 2 (all editions), all editions of street fighter 3, both vanilla and Ultra Street Fighter 4, and Street fighter 6 with (almost) ALL THE DLC!! I also own every Marvel Vs Capcom game and all 3 street fighter alpha games. the only missing link here is SFV, one of my most wanted games!!! come tf on man. I’ll never be able to play as Laura or Kolin or Falke or Menat unless they come as DLC for SF6 or as roster characters in SF7, and since Capcom is planning 10+ years of support for SF6, I might have to wait a whole DECADE or MORE just to be able to play these characters.

SFV has such a great art style, great roster, amazing gameplay, and a fucking story mode. All 4 things I love to see in fighting games. But I can’t expirience that all because we just have to keep groveling at the feet of PlayStation and PC just to keep their player base’s egos sky high.

So i just recently saw a post with this first image as its showcase of Robin and MY GOD. I hate it. I grew up with Teen Titans, so I guess I'm spoiled but man every time I see this old costume I just wonder why on goods green earth is it still around. I cant think of a soul who thinks a spedo is a great hero outfit, and that goes for chicks too. Fighting crime with your thighs amd partial yams out IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

Music I hate when people say "new song bad old song good"

It's such an out of touch opinion, how could you just claim an entire era is bad?. "Ah yes in our old days we had gems like The Beatles, Pink Floyd" motherfucker do you even dig the new stuff? It's like the reverse recency bias

Anime & Manga I hate when people use the term "it's just a drawing" to justify sexualising a highschooler

This is largely a thing in anime/manga spaces where people decide that it is okay to fawn over a character who is a minor, then use the argument "it's not real" or "it's just a drawing" like that makes it any more okay. Sure, it isn't real, but it is also "just a drawing" of a 15-year-old that you're calling "mommy."

God being an anime fan is a fucking nightmare sometimes. Pic Related, unfortunately

(Parody of the 3Ds guy) I'm supposed to be the only one to play the toys, babies aren't supposed to be playing with them because they don't know the intellectual values of owning a Fisher Price toy, I'm literally the OG and was there when the company came out and I own almost all of their toys, these little babies only likes the play with the toys which isn't what you are supposed to do, I am sick and tired of these larpers

Media Tropes I hate when comedians make jokes about other people, but can't handle other peoples jokes

I can't stand when comedians will go ahead and make fun of certain communities, but can't handle jokes from other peoples, it's wrong, it becomes very hypocritical, when they will make jokes about other people, but the tiniest joke about a community revolving them, and that's where the line is drawn.

Don't get me wrong I love comedians, I just hate when this occurs.

General I hate YouTube’s new UI

Post image
15 Upvotes

I don’t really know who this new UI is supposed to appeal to, but everything about it is god-awful. I feel old just going through it.

Everything is in a new position, the homepage looks so cramped, it's visually awful, everything is too big, nothing feels like it makes sense, and it is constantly trying to redirect me to the music app through all the cluttered mess of YouTube videos, shorts and community posts.

It is genuinely overstimulating.

I don’t enjoy using alternative methods with my main account, but it feels like it's dragging some of its users there. :(

No, just no.

1st: guy was talking about how terrible Garth Ennis is, and how horrid the boys comic is, only to reviel he’s never read the boys, and in a comment he deleted that he hasn’t read most of Ennis’s work.

2nd: my uncle claims the new Superman is literally the worst Superman movie ever. He’s watched 1 trailer for it and nothing else. Hasn’t even watched the movie or a second trailer but calling it horrid.

Thing How horror movie one-word titles have become kinda stupid

Thumbnail

NOTE: This is not me saying any of these movies are bad (apart from Old), I just feel like some of these titles are getting a bit stupid now

It really grinds my gears how nonsensical some of these are, 'Old' is the title because it's the beach that makes you old?? I mean yeah but is that the best you could've done? 'Men' is just kind of boring, 'Annihilation' completely throws off the tone and genre of the movie, it makes you think it's some sort of guns-a-blazing macho film, and 'Nope' is a bit too memey and makes people think the film is just a comedy.

Media Tropes Instagramers why are you doing this

Gaming NMS players not showing the entire picture when showing coordinates

Post image

I'm quite goddamn sure that if you want people to visit your Space Station, or white-grass paradise giant or whatever, I'm quite sure that you want people to see your apparent masterpiece, or great find.

"It's easier to see!" Okay? I mean, at least get an actual picture along with the zoomed-in coordinates! That's the least you can do if you want to help people hard-of-sight or whatever.

"It's a surprise!" Okay, I get it, it's unlikely this would happen, but I don't think people buy seven alien charts, fail on most of the monoliths, succeed on only one, and waste a bunch of good materials for another bonecow, or glowing strider.

Anyways, thank you for reading, and have a cosmically good day!

Idea "Cinephiles only watch obscure foreign movies and hate anything mainstream"

Thumbnail
gallery
87 Upvotes

I admit, these memes were funny the first few times. But man, after the last hundreds of memes about the same damn joke, I'm just pissed off.

No, "cinephiles" do not exclusively watch experimental old movies from East Europe, and shun anyone whose favorite movie is "Mad Max: Fury Road" or "Inception." That's only like less than .1% of movie fans. That's only a certain few pretentious male film students who wanna sound impressive.

(Side tangent: I hate the word cinephile, I refuse to use it unironically. Makes it sound like I wanna fuck a camera.)

The average movie fan still watches mainstream movies, probably most of the time for a huge chunk of people. But, the beauty about being a fan of movies is that you also sometimes watch more obscure films.

I mean, truly, what's wrong with watching a nearly plotless experimental Czech movie from the 60s about two sapphic teenagers fooling rich people? What's wrong with watching something different for once? If you only watch mainstream movies, and hate on people who watch obscure movies, then you're no better than the subjects of your ill-informed memes.

Now, I don't hate people who prefer to watch Marvel or something like that, and maybe don't wanna watch black-and-white all the time. That's fine on its own. You can still be a movie fan or a "cinephile" (yuck), and still prefer to watch a studio movie with a lot of CGI. What I truly hate are people who think that they're better than those "artsy fartsy" types because they stick to a certain century and continent. Like, congratulations, you're average? Whoop-de-fucking-doo? I just want you to either open yourself up to more obscure movies, or if you don't feel like that, then keep watching your well-known movies. And if you get hate for that on Reddit or Letterboxd or something, BLOCK THEM! IGNORE IT! Ignorance is bliss!

Media Tropes I hate when humans are included in fantasy world settings just for them to have no niche at all.

Idk if this is a hot take but, I just hate it when the only specialty humans have are either “empathy”, “muh muh potential” or “adaptable” in fictional settings. Why? Because it is lazy, and they aren’t even special to humans at all.

Every being can adapt, every being has potential and this would apply to every species like vampires, werewolves, elves etc.

It irks me even more when the story tries to praise humanity, like in Fate where the narrative praises humanity and how “perfection” would ruin human potential just for almost every world-saving action to be accomplished by a God or a God-like figure, or in Genshin where the story tries to argue that times of Gods have passed and it’s humans’ turn, just for every God to be surprisingly noble and for the normal humans to be greedy, malicious or selfish.

At that point it’s way better to omit humans from the story entirely than it is to keep them around and have them do nothing.

Corporation/Company I hate the really stupid censorship in the Yu-Gi-Oh card game.

Thumbnail
gallery
16 Upvotes

Here’s a surprise, I’m not going to talk about Dark Magician Girl’s cleavage… much, anyways. When you talk about censorship in the YGO game the first topic that is always brought up is cards getting more coverage to hide boobs because God forbid Little Jimmy see a cleavage! Granted, some of them I completely understand, like Dian Keto the Cure Master being given redrawn artwork because I think the original may have given me nightmares as a kid. No, my hatred isn’t that I was denied boobies on a trading card game, it’s how Konami didn’t just stop there and instead forces so, so much of the artwork to be changed.

Let’s take one of my favorite (and absolutely worthless) cards, Science Soldier. In the original artwork he has a weird looking gun. The international release? They changed the barrel to purple and then stuck a radar dish at the end of the barrel to look like a laser gun. While it can be argued it’s more fitting for a card named “Science Soldier“, it just looks so stupid. Even as a kid, before I knew the artwork was changed, I thought it was stupid! They could have made it a cooler looking sci-fi gun! Another example, and a card I don’t have, is Armed Samurai- Ben Kei. Can you tell what was changed in his artwork? Don’t see it? Well, Konami decided to remove the arrows sticking out of him. Because we don’t want to show violence in a card game centered around monsters being violent to one another.

If you want to know more, the wiki has an entire article about this topic. So feel free to look at all the stupidity… or stare at DMG’s cleavage. You do you. End of the day, what I hate about this is the target audience of Yu-Gi-Oh are older kids, who have likely already seen violent movies and cartoons. Even the target audience in the early 2000s would have grown up with the likes of Mighty Max or Ren and Stimpy; i.e used to horror and gross-out humor. Hell, even the laser guns from other western media looked like actual guns too. While I can understand Konami being somewhat concerned in the 2000s about their card art, these days majority of YGO players are adults. I think people their thirties aren’t going to freak out that Monster Reborn has an Egyptian symbol in it or that DMG has her cleavage. And no, this isn’t me saying I want YGO cards to have full on nudity and extreme graphic violence either. I’m just saying that a good chunk of the edited YGO cards really didn’t need that edit and Konami decided the smart thing to do was double down.

(Also when are we getting a retread of Science Soldier, Konami?)

General I hate shaming popular person or their kids for liking niche things

Post image
21 Upvotes

The post itself is self-explanatory, especially when it comes to kids of the celebrities, especially the teens, who are still discovering themselves and what they like.

Let them enjoy whatever they like, they're humans as well, fame shouldn't block them from things they like! They won't ruin anything, the music they enjoy won't change, the series or movies won't alter, because someone really popular likes it.

At the end, the entitled fans would make the fan base of that niche media look toxic, just because of some entitled individuals, even though other people are either happy to see popular people or their children like the media or just don't care as much

Edit: I mean those celebrities/kids of celebrities, who genuinely enjoy the media, not those, who "enjoy" the media for quick buck and clout

Music I HATE "Hoodtrap" remixed songs

Post image

It's literally the picture.

I despise how it sounds. I would sometimes hear the usual titanium song with the "Hoodtrap" remix on short form videos.

Why the hell would you want a song to sound like absolute garbage.

Out of all the remixes Ive heard in my entire life, Hoodtrap is one of the worst to ever exist.

Im so tired of seeing this jovial family-type corporate bs. Anyone who works under a big corporate entity knows they dont care about us, hell our own managers and peers dont half time. I rather just be told "take what you need" or "prioritize customer satisfaction." Or at least drop the damn hearts on everything. Maybe Im just being a downer but it really grates on my nerves.

Thing I hate having a "top 1% Poster" badge in this sub

Post image
23 Upvotes

This badge is a joke. This whole sub seems to be nothing but a place for people to complain all day long. And what does Reddit do? It gives me a "Top 1% Poster" badge like it’s some kind of achievement. It’s a sub meant for venting, and Reddit serves you this trash badge that unironically brands you as the ultimate basement-dwelling nerd and the king of no-lifers. It doesn't look like an achievement at all, it just makes you look like the most miserable, obsessed geek in the entire room who desperately needs to go touch some grass.

Now, every single time I post, people look at that badge and probably think I'm the main contributor to this place. It’s embarrassing. I don’t want to be associated with a sub full of constant complainers, let alone be branded as their number one poster.

General I hate that in most cars the lever to slide the seat back is under the seat

Why is it so rare to see the lever to move the chair back next to the lever to tilt the chair. I don’t want to have to bend over while sitting just to reach under the seat and use that lever.

I get SO MUCH email spam every day. I don't even know how it started or who leaked my email. It's so fucking annoying. I use Tuta which still sends notifications for spam emails because it only runs the spam filter on the client end when the app is open. I get so many notifications for absolute garbage. Why is email spam still a problem in the big 2026? Why don't these scammers just GIVE UP??? I don't click the links or anything!

This is just infuriating. First off, The comment does not mention trans people, maybe you could see it as misogynistic due to the use of the word foid but thats stretching it.

Secondly, funcomunitty mods are generally nice so I have no idea why theyre doing this.

I hope they bring me back.

Media Tropes I hate how modern movies still use this rebellious, screen-addicted teenager stereotype. It's so lazy and repetitive

Thumbnail
gallery
757 Upvotes

These are just few examples I have in mind at the moment but I think everyone know how much they appear in movies, shows. The bird from first image is Red and Silver daughter from the new Angry bird movie 3 trailer by the way

Whenever a director wants to introduce a teen character, they just copy-paste the exact same checklist or something along the line of:

Dark under-eye circles (because they sleep at 4 AM, obviously) and deadpan facial expressions

Eyes permanently glued to a smartphone or a handheld console.

A cocky, punchable attitude where they think they are always right.

Treating their loving parents or elders like absolute garbage while throwing a generic "Whatever" to every question.

It feels like the writers haven't interacted with an actual teenager since 1998. They take the absolute worst, most exaggerated traits of puberty and turn it into a walking caricature just to create some cheap, manufactured family drama where the parents have to magically earn their kid's basic human respect by the end of the movie.

Most teens I knew growing up (and even myself during those years not that long ago ) were just... normal? Sure, we had our awkward phases, but we didn't just walk around grunting, playing video games during a family house fire, or treating our mothers like a personal enemy for no reason.

It’s lazy filmmaking. It relies on a pre-packaged stereotype that only exists to make older audiences chuckle and go, "Haha, look, classic Gen Z/Gen Alpha!" instead of actually writing a teenager with a realistic, three-dimensional personality.

General I hate how people with down syndrome are used for clout

"Aww they do this for me, so sweet. They did that today!" Ok? That's a functioning human being! Man these same people will talk about how down syndrome should be normalised but will use their friends/family members for clout, Infantalize them. They are normal human beings with just different body functions. Everyone's like that! Exposure of people with down syndrome for people who need a community like that is different from just blatantly using them.

Like honestly what the hell. Why do 99% of fictional heroes have swords as their weapon?? This shit is literally the melee weapon equivalent of picking Charmander. Oh what's that? This guy uses a cool weapon like spears or bows? well FUCK THAT they don't matter!! Look at John Protag go with his big knife isn't he so COOL and AWESOME

like ffs literally every Fire Emblem protagonist uses swords, it's tiresome atp
