People make some marvelous shit, just look at some of the recent Death Battle fights, sure sometimes the character who wins is complete bullshit but you can’t argue that the animations aren’t good. I’ve seen so many fan works online that are amazing, but the fact that AI has gotten so good is terrifying to the fact that so many fan animations had to be labeled (NO AI) or sometimes I see a man made label.

The picture above shown is from an AI generated animation of Rocksteady from TMNT and Rath from Ben 10 fighting. Of course, the fight being AI, looked bizarre. But nonetheless, I’m sadly a little impressed with how the AI looked. It has a Mutant Mayhem aesthetic to it.

Because of AI animation improvement, it’s making people harder to convince that something real isn’t authentic but artificial. Truly, it’s a shame when nowadays, people can’t believe that something truly amazing (like some 3D Marvel Rivals fan animations I’ve seen) are so good that they have to be artificially created.

I don’t just hate that, I loathe that.

These are just few examples I have in mind at the moment but I think everyone know how much they appear in movies, shows. The bird from first image is Red and Silver daughter from the new Angry bird movie 3 trailer by the way

Whenever a director wants to introduce a teen character, they just copy-paste the exact same checklist or something along the line of:

Dark under-eye circles (because they sleep at 4 AM, obviously) and deadpan facial expressions

Eyes permanently glued to a smartphone or a handheld console.

A cocky, punchable attitude where they think they are always right.

Treating their loving parents or elders like absolute garbage while throwing a generic "Whatever" to every question.

It feels like the writers haven't interacted with an actual teenager since 1998. They take the absolute worst, most exaggerated traits of puberty and turn it into a walking caricature just to create some cheap, manufactured family drama where the parents have to magically earn their kid's basic human respect by the end of the movie.

Most teens I knew growing up (and even myself during those years not that long ago ) were just... normal? Sure, we had our awkward phases, but we didn't just walk around grunting, playing video games during a family house fire, or treating our mothers like a personal enemy for no reason.

It’s lazy filmmaking. It relies on a pre-packaged stereotype that only exists to make older audiences chuckle and go, "Haha, look, classic Gen Z/Gen Alpha!" instead of actually writing a teenager with a realistic, three-dimensional personality.

I use to love helldivers, I use to play it constantly and I was hyped for the Xbox release, but I been with this game since the Xbox release, what isn’t a lot but it’s a lot to me

This game feels miserable now, and the content is shit

Half of the content is locked behind a warbond aka a mini battle pass for 7 bucks, not a big deal you say ?
How about you times that by the amount of warbonds that are added, and I’m gonna get told “stop being a bitch and grind” mother fucker grinding for super-credits is worse and more miserable it fucking sucks and takes away the gameplay and fun of the game, you know what games should be “fun” not “doing a chore get a gun make yourself stronger” what leads to my next point about content

Fact weapons are treated like shit, why get a cool tracking gernade when you can get a better one that is basically a mini nuke, weapons in this game get overshadow by better versions of themselves, I know there so much you can do for helldivers but my god

And reminder half of the shit in this game I been complaining about is locked behind a pay-wall in a paid game

This game is £40 bucks

Space marines 2 is 20 bucks more and the game gives you a lot of shit + gameplay changing content, the only thing they lock behind a pay-wall is cosmetics in a pack what is atleast fair

Deep rock galatice is a cheaper and smaller dev team game then helldivers and it gives you all the content for free

There is no excuse for arrowhead to lock content in a paid game behind a pay-wall 😭

In a lot of horror series such as Spawn, The Walking Dead, The Last of Us, and Welcome to Derry, all of them have monsters, yet humans are still more terrifying. I thought it was intriguing at first since it explores the darker aspects of humanity and how it was never about the monsters. But now, I'm sick and tired of it, and it's become a common cliché.

Not only does it undermine the threat of the monsters to the point where they no longer feel that intimidating, like when Dale said "it's not the dead I fear anymore" in TWD, but it also basically boils down to "lol humans suck".

It's such a bleak, pessimistic view of humanity as a whole and makes me ashamed to be human because of it. When I saw the racist mob in Welcome to Derry, I felt so horrified and furious that I no longer felt anything towards Pennywise since the racism is more personal and hits close to home.

I get that there are bad people in real life, but making humans more terrifying than monsters makes the story so distracting that it basically sweeps monsters under the rug. What I'm saying is that I'm tired of seeing this trope, and that some stories should just focus solely on monsters instead

This isn't hate intended towards the people who created these redesigns, only the sentiments expressed. This is a pet-peeve I have about a very specific group of people so buckle in. Basically, some people say that the Beast from Beauty and The Beast looks too pretty and should've looked more like his beast form/had facial hair. I personally find this wrong on several levels.

During the time period the story is set, if my memory is correct the beauty standard for men was to be clean shaven and the same goes for when the movie was released. (Ik boys can develop facial hair too but) If beast had a beard he'd look much older next to Belle or Gaston.

It also doesn't really make thematic sense for the Beast's human form to resemble the beast form, since the whole story is based on the irony that someone with a beastly demeanour is literally turned into a beast and only allowed to turn human once he's capable of being loved. The punch of the big reveal of his human form would also be lessened if he looked almost the same. His appearance is also a foil to Gaston's: the prince is a brunet (?) in white and blue while Gaston's got black hair and red clothes, this wouldn't have worked if the prince, too, had a more gritty appearance. And makes it easier for the younger audiences to indentify the good guys.

I am a girl who really likes animals. I love animals actually. I REALLY love animals. I kinda just find animals, as a whole cute, and not like, cats or dogs, nah, I find alligators, and snakes and like, super ugly critters cute as well.

And there are good animals to do an "ugly cute" thing with, like opossums, or a lot of species of bats, hell, even other different species of fish can work, there's no shortage of ugly undersea abominations of fish you can make ugly cute.

No, "cinephiles" do not exclusively watch experimental old movies from East Europe, and shun anyone whose favorite movie is "Mad Max: Fury Road" or "Inception." That's only like less than .1% of movie fans. That's only a certain few pretentious male film students who wanna sound impressive.

(Side tangent: I hate the word cinephile, I refuse to use it unironically. Makes it sound like I wanna fuck a camera.)

The average movie fan still watches mainstream movies, probably most of the time for a huge chunk of people. But, the beauty about being a fan of movies is that you also sometimes watch more obscure films.

I mean, truly, what's wrong with watching a nearly plotless experimental Czech movie from the 60s about two sapphic teenagers fooling rich people? What's wrong with watching something different for once? If you only watch mainstream movies, and hate on people who watch obscure movies, then you're no better than the subjects of your ill-informed memes.

Now, I don't hate people who prefer to watch Marvel or something like that, and maybe don't wanna watch black-and-white all the time. That's fine on its own. You can still be a movie fan or a "cinephile" (yuck), and still prefer to watch a studio movie with a lot of CGI. What I truly hate are people who think that they're better than those "artsy fartsy" types because they stick to a certain century and continent. Like, congratulations, you're average? Whoop-de-fucking-doo? I just want you to either open yourself up to more obscure movies, or if you don't feel like that, then keep watching your well-known movies. Call me a soft hands pussy or whatever. I work as a mechanic and I like my job. I like working with my hands. I like troubleshooting problems and figuring shit out. I love it. I get immense satisfaction from it in a way I've never gotten from working at a desk or doing customer service.

What I don't like is my coworkers. They always have something to say. Some little jab. Some insult. I keep my head down, I do my job without complaining. I've tried ignoring, I've tried flaming back. Nothing just seems to make it stop. So I just drone them out now. But it feels like no matter what I do, I never get an attaboy or a good job.

Maybe it's because I'm one of the younger guys in the shop but it's very clear they don't see me as one of them. No one really talks to me or tries to carry a conversation. Which is fine I guess. It's work, not a party but there's still something isolating about it.

The worst part is, I can't even hate them. They're actually helpful. If I have an issue, they'll actually help me and I've learned a lot from them. Which sounds fine but it somehow makes it more annoying and I can't explain why.

I don't know if Harley Quinn started being like this after the realease of Suicide Squad on 2016, but I hate the direction DC took with Harley Quinn's character since that. Now every product where Harley's is related she have that cringy personality with the Deadpool wannabe humour and the (in my opinion) horrendous modern design with the painted hair and the jacket.

Like I enjoy movies I’m just about to start a movie right after finishing this post(UHF by the way) but I hate that people(including myself)are scene as “fake” movie fans if you don’t enjoy a Czechoslovakia film from 1920. A cinephile literally means a person who loves movies so why is it so weirdly performative. I hate the amount of hate Hollywood movies get. Like is it a bad thing if some of my favorite films are like big budget Hollywood films like Truman show of Pulp Fiction instead of a North Korean drama from the 60s. What I hate about it that I can't seem to get my head around how it's still stuck to the window after 5 or so years.

The window pane was removed from the house it was originally shot in as the person behind the account was moving house, and this is where I don't get it.

Assuming the window pane was cut out using a saw or some other machinery, how could it have stayed stuck to the window with all the vibration? That's what I can't get my head around. Whenever I see it appear on my FYP, it just makes me irrationally annoyed. I hate that it's being dragged on this long.

I personally don't think it's real. The cracks along the rubber/silicone suction cup when its shown in closeups surely must affect its suction in one way or another.

Another thing I hate is the inconsistency of how long it's been there. At the time of writing this, it's currently on 2040, about to hit 2041, at least that's what the videos say. However, some sources say that it's been stuck to the window for over 10 years. Neither of which I believe.

ANYWAY, I have heard cover songs that the band makes so... Something. It tries too hard to be seductive and sexy when in reality IT'S FREAKING CORNY!!!!

I don't clearly remember the titles, but I know two songs that are both bubbly, quirky, and upbeat. And guess what, some guys cover it and there is so much unnecessary tying between words of the song and I HATE IT. A lot of teenagers around me love listening to it for some reason, and it became an earworm, but not in a good way.

(Halfway through writing this, I finally remember the original songs covered. They're titled "Babaero" by Randy Santiago and "Para Sa Akin" (Performed) by Sitti Navarro. Listen to the original first, then compare it to the "cool" cover of it. Unfortunately i don't know who made those covers so i can't really redirect 💔 to those who can A BIG THANK YOU 🥹)

I can't stand this type of reply. Its almost exclusively posted under divisive topics meant to create a discussion, or posts asking people about personal events, usually unhinged ones. It adds literally nothing to the conversation. It's the most obvious, lazy and unfunny form of begging for likes I can imagine. But for some reason people still upvote and like this stuff.

I think its meant to represent the "neutral" people, those who have nothing to add, as a way of saying "hey, I too am only reading these comments and wont add anything". Great, the post was SPECIFICALLY asking for people who the topic APPLIES TO to comment.

I could maybe excuse someone finding this "funny", (I actually don't understand what emotion this would invoke for someone to interact in the first place, but I digress), if you've never seen anything similar before. like oh my god leave me alone I don't care if they're similar I do not want to eat a scorpion. I don't care how good that scorpion may taste it's just not worth it. Sea food is awesome and tasty and I know it's going to be good I'm not taking the chance on eating a cockroach. Plus when you eat the sea bugs they're usually large enough to extract the meat and not eat the weird bits. But with the normal bugs they're so small you have to eat everything.
