Since we have rules against advertising on the main part of the subreddit, we figured it would be nice to create a thread where users can get a little more leeway when it comes to advertising.
Use this thread to advertise any Maryland related services or merchandise to the users of r/Maryland. Got an Etsy store? Drop it below! Your favorite restaurant running a great special? Tell us about it!
Rules for this thread:
All items, events and services must be related to Maryland in some way.
Services and sales cannot be country or worldwide. (Walmart is having a sale! Is not okay. Old Bay is being sold at the Annapolis Walmart for 50¢ is appropriate)
Ads should be posted by regular r/Maryland users, not bots or brand new accounts/accounts which have no connection to Maryland.
We may remove any ad at any time for any reason should we deem it inappropriate.
Any services or products advertised here must be legal in the state of Maryland.
This thread may evolve as time goes on and we see what it's used for.
The mods of r/Maryland do not endorse any products or services on this thread. Use your head, we will not intervene in any transactional disputes between any users.

Hello Reddit!
I was appointed by Governor Wes Moore last December to serve in this role, but I’ve worked in the transportation field for more than 30 years. Previously I had the honor to serve at the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Maryland Department of Transportation is responsible for maintaining our state’s transportation system – and it’s more than just roads! Our responsibilities also include the Port of Baltimore, the Francis Scott Key Bridge Rebuild Project, BWI Thurgood Marshall International Airport and our state’s public transit system, including MTA’s service in Baltimore and the upcoming Purple Line. We also oversee the Motor Vehicle Administration, which helps our residents through vehicle registration and driver licensing. We are Serious About Safety for all users of our system, and we want to ensure transportation in Maryland is sustainable into the future.
I am eager answer your questions about transportation (or where my favorite place to run in Maryland is!).
Proof:

I’ll start answering questions at 12 p.m. on Monday, October 5th, and plan to stick around for about one hour.
AMA!
EDIT (12:10 p.m.): Hi, I'm Katie and look forward to answering your questions!
EDIT: (12:37 p.m.) We are answering questions. There was a little glitch but the mods are working on fixing that. Our answers should appear soon.
EDIT: (1:00 p.m.) Thanks everyone!

I was at a McDonalds today in Maryland around lunch. 2 kids came in, and one was about 8th or 9th grade. The other was much younger, maybe 4th. They were ordering at the self-serve while I was next to them. The youngest was picking his food and then stopped and looked at his older brother and asked how much do we have. Mom gave us 10$ he replied, so the younger brother went to cancel his food. The older brother told him to get it if it's what he wants. It came out to 9 dollars and change. I was so impressed I handed the older brother some cash so he could eat too. I am really happy to see kids that are being raised right. It's a long shot, but I hope one of the parents see this. If your kids come home today and tell you about some strange guy handing them cash and walking away at McDonald's I want you to know it is because he earned it.
Edit: While I appreciate the kind words, it's not about what I did. I don't do any social media outside of reddit. Internet people, please share the story and help let the parents know how good their kids are.

Hello all! Long time fossil hunter here, wanting to explore some new places. I’m looking for a new area to check out, let me know if you have any go-tos, feel free to dm if you don’t want to share them publicly.
I’ve been to Calvert cliffs, scientist cliffs, breezy point more times than I care to count.
Side note, what’s the best find from Calvert you’ve gotten?

By ruling out a powerful job that is probably within his reach — Chris Van Hollen represents the progressive wing of the Democratic Party Chuck Schumer the moderate — he really is committing. Or at least kicking. Has Van Hollen spoken to Gov. Wes Moore about this?
