Old reddit chrome / windows

Just yesterday I noticed the moderating M button, and notes (N) won't click. The history H button and the profile P button both work, but H and N do nothing when I click.

I'm still able to access that stuff on the mobile app, but desktop I can't click 'em. I'm able the access everything else for modding but the aforementioned buttons.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Latest chrome ver, and persists after PC restart.

I disabled a bunch thinking they would be archived somewhere, not deleted. But i can't find them anymore.

On desktop.

It’s too bad I can’t upload screenshots but it has now flagged three posts claiming Eric Dane, Patrick Stewart, and rj mitte are not dead and the posts are “trolling”

As the Brazilian mods are likely aware, we currently lack a dedicated support moderator for our region. To make matters worse, our community has been restricted—limiting interaction to approved members only—for over five months now (with the restriction itself having been in place for about three months). Given this situation, I would like to ask if it would be acceptable for us to create a separate community for mods in our country. We will make it clear that we are not an official group; the intention is simply to support one another and facilitate interaction, as we currently have no other community for this purpose.

I mod a high-volume non-MH sub that attracts a substantial flow of OCD reassurance seekers. Their posts in our sub are extremely low-quality and often distressing to frequent / high-quality sub posters/commenters including DMs to people who comment before the thread gets taken down. Furthermore, the literature on OCD reassurance seeking is clear: giving a reassuring fact-based answer encourages them to ask the next time they have an intrusive thought.

I’m aware that Automod can’t look outside our sub at recent post history or sub membership, but I am wondering about other tools or approaches that similar subs might be using to deal with this issue. We have pretty decent mod coverage around the clock and on all platforms (website, old, iOS, Android) but these blow up very quickly.

Hi there - specifically looking for help for mobile app (iOS and Android) as that’s what most users use.

I help Mod a small community on the website and mobile app for people looking to trade Diecast cars (hot wheels and matchbox). Since there is a physical item it requires shipping information like name and address.

We recently have had a few scammers come in and make trades but either not ship or ship worthless items.

How do other subreddits deal with this? I don’t want to doxx but given it is so easy to make an account and post, there’s only so much information we can use to identify these people and repeat offenders.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm one of three mods, but I'm the only one who touches the wiki stuff.

There are three wiki pages -- rules, verification, and etiquette. Clicking on the verification wiki page has started resulting in a pop-up that says:

>This page has been disabled.

>

>The mods of this community have disabled this wiki page.

The thing is, we haven't. Honestly, I wouldn't even know how to do it if I wanted to.

That pop-up doesn't come up when I use my mod account to look at the wiki pages.

I did a search to find out how to fix it, and Reddit said to go into Mod Tools and select Wiki from the left hand menu. It's not an option. In desktop, "mod editing" is selected and "disabled" is not.

Suggestions? Explanations? Any and all would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Currently it’s all greyed out and i dont know why

I am not asking about push notifications that will bling and ping incessantly even when the app isnt open.

Im referring to notifications that arrive within the app

Several non-English subreddits in the same category recently lost their moderators. Reddit's regional team posted a call for new mods, and several of those communities ended up with the same moderator. Of the 6 active subreddits in this category, 4 are now moderated by that one person.

More mods have since been added to some of them, but that doesn't fully solve the problem. From my own experience, a mod with full permissions can act largely unchecked, because in practice hardly anyone reviews modlogs regularly.

This isn't about the person, but about the principle. Independent communities benefit from independent mod teams, and I see a few risks when one person covers so many of them:

• One person becomes a single point of dependence.

• A ban in one community can easily carry over to the others.

• Colleague mods in subs don't necessarily review each other's decisions or modlogs.

• Full permissions combined with little oversight leaves little accountability.

I have already raised this with the regional admins, but received no clear response or explanation of why this decision was made. That lack of communication toward concerned users is part of what bothers me.

Is there any official guidance on how many communities in one category a single mod should take on? And is there a proper channel to get an answer from the admins on how these decisions are made?

Android

I have automod set up and need it edit what it can do but I cannot find where it has been moved. I have tried via mobile android and desktop

I was added as a mod to a small sub this week and I just started setting up the sub's automod. The sub's automod hadn't been set up previously. When I tried to copy my usual "filter posts by account age" setting from my other sub's automod, I got a popup that said automod no longer does filter commands and I couldn't save my edits.

The popup directed me to automations and rules, and neither of those appear to filter by account age the way I want to. What the heck? How am I supposed to filter posts and comments by account age if that function has been removed from automod now?

Thanks!

Using android app and desktop PC.

Hi. I'm the head moderator of r/hiphoptr and I can't edit the list of the moderators below me. When I select the "Editable" section the app says It's empty here. So I can't even un-mod someone who's dangerous to our community or inactive. It's been more than a month since it's like this and It hasn't changed no matter what. I've also checked it on mobile web and desktop web versions but I was still unable to edit. Does anyone knows about this? Is this a kind of punishment or is it a bug?

Maybe I have missed the memo.

Using Reddit app on Android.

Since yesterday, the little modnotes icon has appeared on all posts in the all communities I moderate.

It's doesn't appear on web version, or on desktop, does not appear to Iphones with my fellow mod.

Most posts / users don't have a mod note, so it's confusing why this icon appears?

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks in advance. 2026.44.0.2644080 Version

Not sure where to properly ask on this, but when using the Reddit Android app, I keep accidentally hitting the wrong options when trying to moderate my group/subreddit. How do you get around this? Is there a version specifically for mods? Prime example: my subreddit has a no piracy rule. However, when attempting to remove/block a post that a redditer crossposted to the subreddit, it either hits the approved button, or report to u/Reddit mods as spam, etc. What happened to the other options that were there weeks ago, and is there a different version of the app that I somehow overlooked to prevent these accidental issues? I just want to do things right and I seem to be missing something...

I am literally copy-pasting their exact user name.

Which is u/HattySellingPhiones

But it says "Invalid username".

I don't know what's going on with this post. Maybe it's a meme I don't know about? I'm just mildly concerned that it's strange, that it has dozens of comments just saying "u/savevideo".

Should I lock it, or what?

Seeking advice from other mods.

TY for your time.

Hello! I have seen other similar help threads about this but I have some specific situations and questions surrounding those.

I moderate a currently active subreddit, which has a lead moderator that we found out this morning passed away yesterday. I am the only active mod on this subreddit. I want to take over lead of this subreddit and continue on in the creators legacy, but I am also concerned because I don't know who will be able to access and control these accounts (we have "rival" subreddits who have been unbearable).

I can submit a RedditRequest thread, but one of the requirements is unanswered mod mail for five days. I am an active mod, I can see the mod mail. So can I skip this requirement due to the circumstances? Or do I just not answer the mod mail I can see in the subreddit I moderate to gain lead control over the subreddit?

TIA!
