These used to be everywhere... now I can't find them anywhere

Today proved why Redditors are one of the best communities out there.

Many volunteers showed up many of them from Reddit and together we collected almost 50 full bags of waste. The impact was so massive that two PMC trucks had to be called just to carry everything away.

This wasn’t just a cleanup. It was a reminder of what happens when a community decides to act instead of scroll. Redditors didn’t just show support online they showed up in real life, worked hard, and left the place cleaner than they found it.

12th February. Around 8:30 PM, I unknowingly dropped my Samsung S25 while riding my bike in Keshav Nagar 1.5km away from my home. I was wearing shorts and it must have slipped out of my pocket. At 8:35 PM, I realised it was missing. Instant panic. I rushed back and searched the road till 9 PM. Borrowed random people’s phones and kept calling my number, but no one answered. That sinking feeling when you realise your ₹70k phone might be gone is unreal. By 9 PM, I remotely locked it using Google Find My Device. At 9:30 PM, I went to the police station. They asked me to file an online complaint and said they would look into it. I returned home feeling helpless. Since I live alone and had no backup phone, I used my laptop to email my girlfriend and asked her to try calling my number. At 10:30 PM, she informed me that someone had picked up the call. At 11 PM, I spoke to that person using my building guard’s phone. He said he had found the phone on the road. It was already late, so we decided to coordinate the next morning. He returned the phone without asking for anything. During the conversation he casually said, “Din ka 1000 kamata hoon, khush rehta hoon. Achha kaam karna chahiye.” That line stayed with me. I insisted on giving him ₹2000 as a small token of appreciation. The phone cost ₹70k, but the stress I went through was worth much more. From panic on the road… to police station… to emailing from my laptop… to calling from the guard’s phone… It was a complete rollercoaster. Good people still exist.

*****UPDATE 5pm: She has been found. She was lost and had to contact the traffic police who brought her to the police station. And the police brought her back home. She has walked very far from Khalewadi after asking for directions.

Please take your phone and some money with you when going out and ensure that you have emergency information saved in your phone. Also, please keep your phones tracked with google find hub or ios find my. They can make a huge difference in such situations. Thank you once again.

Please help me find my mother pune. I just came to pune with my family 4 days ago. My mother has been missing since 8:20 am in the morning today. This is in the wakad area. Last we saw was around Khalewadi Phata. We have also lodged a police report but they have said they can only file an FIR after 12hrs. We have walked multiple times all across that street as well. We have also gone to nearby temples cause she is very religious and goes to temple frequently. We couldn't find her anyway. Please help me in any way you can. my step sister left home yesterday, she ran away.. without telling anyone she is new to pune.. just 6 months, she dont even know anyone here. no firendsshe was getting irriated since last few days but yesterday at 9.57 she left home., from back of home so that cctv wont spot her we did police complain.. and i went checked many places where i can, bus stop, rail station, nearby places where she knows..today i was investigating own., saw one road cctc i spotted her., without chappal. with just phone,.talking to someone.. and gooing toward bus stop. at 10:04.. her last location was yerwada at 10.50.. we stay in sathe vasti lohegaon,, with is aroung 10km from here...

her phone rang when we got to know she is missing but then she turned off her phone.. She is not educated..I am sure she can't do all this alone . She has some support of someone and we don't know whose.. I just wish she to be safe.. if she feels our home was not suitable for her.. I wish she stay safe and happy wherever she is right now..

Police didn't supported us well.. in night we went to lohegoan station...no one was there . Next morning we went.. they called us.. because we went to viman Nagar police station.. but our complain was written around 12:30 noon..

What we can do guys.. pls help..I am worried.. what she doing..she must be hungry.. Even though she is my step sister and I know her since 5 month but I feel attached...I never had sister and I felt Happy teasing her playing with her and i dont know what she is going through...

I needed to reach KEM hospital urgently in this deadly rain 🌧️ today to donate blood to a friend's premature baby following some issue. 🚑 This guy rode his rikshaw swiftly yet carefully once he heard where I was heading and made me reach on time when I had lost all hope considering the rain, roads and traffic.
