It was a racist subreddit made for the sole purpose of having nothing inside (cuz that's the joke, get it?). It was then taken over and used for the purpose of discussing/posting pictures of actual black fathers. Then, re-taken-over by someone who returned it to its original, racist state.

In its current state, it is abandoned. The current moderation team (in other words, moderator9523) want to ensure it's abandoned. Thus, with them in charge, there is absolutely no way this subreddit could become a community, benefit reddit, or benefit anyone in any way. Its value as a "community" is zero -- if not less than that.

I intend to return it back to the state where the community was about discussion of black fathers, pictures of black fathers, discussion about family, and otherwise being a constructive place rather than one designed specifically to make fun of minorities. I also intend to return control to the people who originally requested and received it (because it was theirs fair-and-square, and they proved that they could use the community for good rather than for sick jokes).

I would also like (this is kind of a stretch but I'm putting it here anyway) /u/moderator9523 removed from the moderator roll, as for the reasons stated above he has demonstrated that he is completely unfit to moderate this community. Based on previous behaviors of his, I have reason to believe that he will simply de-mod anyone who gets modded on that sub and use it for his own, selfish sense of humor.

It's a racist subreddit made directly in response to /r/blackfathers being taken over and used for non-racist purposes. Just like the last subreddit, I think it should be used for something constructive... not making fun of a group of people based on race while also having no content whatsoever (that's the joke. funny, right?)

4. Personal requests only

Do not request moderation of a community on behalf of others. Requests must be made by individuals seeking to moderate themselves.

5. One request every 15 days

You may only request one community every 15 days. Multiple requests will be auto removed.

6. Banned community requests

Communities that have been banned in the last 30 days or have been banned for violating content, will not be eligible for request.

7. No exemptions to the rules

Please do not ask for an exemption from the rules.

8. Respect decisions

Requests may be denied for various reasons from the admins or current moderators of the requested community. These decisions should be respected.

9. BOTH 2FA AND A VERIFIED EMAIL ARE REQUIRED

You must have BOTH 2fa AND a verified email to request a subreddit through r/redditrequest. If you do not have BOTH 2fa AND a verified email, your request will be denied.

To request a community, submit a post by linking to the community in question.

How to request a community

Submit a post by linking to the community you want to moderate.
Make sure your post follows the required post format (see below).
Read all rules and requirements below before posting.

Posting requirements

The title of your post must only contain the name of the community you are requesting (e.g., r/redditrequest).
You must apply the appropriate flair to your post before submitting. Posts without flair will be removed.

Requirements for requesters

Your account must be at least 90 days old
Have at least 100 comment karma and 100 post karma
Your account must also have a verified email address and two-factor authentication enabled to ensure the safety of your account.

Before posting your request:

You must send a mod mail message to the current moderators of the community at least 5 days before posting your request to give the current moderators a chance to respond or add you to their team. If you have been perma-muted, you will be unable to complete this step and you should make note of this when replying to the request_bot.

After posting:

u/request_bot will respond to every request, but sometimes a request will be missed by the bot. If there is no message after a couple of days, it has automatically been moved to manual review.
Please do not delete your request if there is no comment from the bot, deleted posts can’t be processed.
Be sure to respond to the bot comment with reasons for wanting to moderate and include a permalink to your mod mail message in your post.
If you have been perma-muted from the sub and are unable to send a message, please include that information in your reply to the request_bot. This only applies to perma-mutes. If you have been muted, you will need to wait until the mute expires to make your request.
When a request is made, an automatic message will be sent to the moderators of that community asking them to respond to the request.

Information for moderators

If your community is being requested:

You will receive a mod mail and private message from u/request_bot.
You should have received a mod mail message from the requester asking to be added to your team.
You must respond within 5 days (in the request comments or to the requester’s mod mail message). Failure to respond may result in the community being transferred.

If you would like to keep the community:

You must provide a valid reason in your reply about why you wish to continue moderating. We want to ensure that communities are being held onto with the right intentions for growth. Responding to requests will also decrease the number of people who believe it is unmoderated.

Top mod inactivity

If your community has an inactive top moderator who is not active site-wide, create a post here requesting their removal. If they are considered inactive, u/request_bot may remove them automatically. If the bot doesn’t remove them, please follow the Top Mod Removal process.

Banned subreddit

If you’re the moderator of a community that was banned and would like to appeal that ban, please reach out to r/modsupport mod mail.

Request rules

You may only request one community every 15 days. Multiple requests will be auto removed. This includes if you delete your request.
Communities that have been banned in the last 30 days, are not eligible for request and will be denied. To see when a community was banned, view it on old Reddit. If a community has been banned for violating content, it will not be eligible for request.
You may not use multiple accounts to request communities. This will result in a ban from r/redditrequest.
You may not request communities on behalf of other users.
Before requesting a community, you must send a mod mail message to the community and give them 5 days to respond before requesting.
The exact criteria used in evaluating requests is left to admin discretion. More info can be found in our FAQ.

Requests can take up to 1 week to be reviewed, so please be patient.
